In your opinion, what is the best looking Fighter Jet ever made? I have always been personally partial to Jets like the F-4 and F-14 as they were on the tail end of the analog designed aircraft. There is something special about these Third and Early Fourth Gen Fighters.
0:24 I guessed the "Land, Sea, and Air" was something like a themed combo meal. A Big Mac, a Fillet O'Fish, and a 10 piece nugget plus a drink all for $19.99.
@@botimegaming Once again I'm scared by your food talk. Also, how are StickBoy's reading lessons going? Has he finished making his cookbook? And can we please see a sequel to "A tiny tank in a big world"? (p.s. Since you're american you might like to try the Nascar Legends mod for the game Wreckfest.)
During the outbreak of the Vietnam war, my Dad pushed F-4's around the hangar deck of the USS Constellation. I loved seeing Connie on the side of Bo's F-4.
Bo, several years ago, when I was an Underground Utility Line Locator, I was working behind Fort Polk, LA, locating some Underground phone lines so that the contractor could dig safely in the work area. I watched as 2 A10s lifted off from inside the base and they flew straight over me. I thought it was so cool to see real A10s training for missions when both of them climbed straight up, circled around and came screaming out of the sky straight at me and my truck! Like, I know I was safe and that they were just fucken with me but there was still a small part of me that was working hard not to fill my pants as I stared up at that 30mm Gatlin Gun pointed straight at my face. I didn't know what to do, so I just stood my ground and threw them both a salute as they roared by! They were so low by the time they pulled back up just above the tree line that I could see the pilots laughing as they waved at me going by!
@@botimegaming Fort Polk was such an amazing place. I got to go on base so much that they finally gave me a hard Civilian pass so that I didn't have to stop and go register inside the shack every day. I only got to see a 10th of the base inside but just knowing that I was on Hallowed Ground from the base that trained the Army Rangers how to scale the cliffs of Normandy to the modern urban gun and run of Iraq made me such a proud American. Everyday you'd hear bombs and shit exploding as they trained in urban warfare inside an entire mock up middle eastern city. Then at night a different team would come in and rebuild it all for the next day. Outside of the base on the road leading up to the gate was nothing but wall to wall army surplus stores. I waisted a lot of company time looking through those places! 🤣
I worked in the ER with a doc who was former Air Force and he flew both the F-4 and the F-16. Said that the F-16 was just beautiful with slight joystick movements making the plane do magical things with its fly-by-wire system. The F-4 on the other hand was just a brute. The power, he said, was just amazing when you really pinned the throttle.
"Slight Joystick movements" means something different than you might realize. The F-16 has a pressure sensitive stick that either doesn't move (F-16A) or moves very slightly (F-16C). Apparently, some early F-16A pilots would hurt their hand pulling hard on the stick, so that's why they added a little bit of give to the stick in later models.
man, the f-4 and f-14,15, and 16 kind of hold a special place in my heart cause i would always see them as a child. All of our plastic army men playsets had phantoms as planes and as a child my family had the news on constantly so I would see those birds on the news often when they were talking about Iraq or Afghanistan
Funny you should mention F-4s out in Kansas: my stepfather grew up out there too, and he's told me a story how he got the crap scared out of him once driving on I-70 when a Phantom went supersonic over his truck.
Celebrating the small wins with the BTG boys today: Stick does things to the opposition team, Bo doesn't hit a bridge and Zuit finds a new culinary delight to try.
So, whenever Bo goes on about brisket or any other form of barbecue we can point him to the point in this video where he very clearly said, "all the best foods are microwaved."
Stick: "It's off, it's off, it's off." Bo: *Explodes to the missile that Stick said was off* Stick: "Where-WHAT!?" Bo: "Stick, never change. Never change." This is why I love your videos. XD
Hotdogs are technically tacos. They are classified by how the protein is carried. It’s deep and technical look it up if you don’t believe me but trust me it’s a dangerous rabbit hole.
Bo, thanks for the story about the Phantoms in the flint hills. Reminded me of some similar stories with me and my dad. As one who also lost a dad this past year, my condolences. So glad you have memories like that.
A "Beef Wellington" is a tenderloin, coated with a mixture of pâté and duxelles. A "Corn Dog" is a "Sausage" on a stick, coated in a thick layer of cornmeal batter and deep fried. They are "Not The Same.
Well your father while living in Kansas was watching F-4D’s from the 184th/127th TFG/TFS, KS Air National Guard out of McConnell AFB. But it wasn’t during Vietnam. They flew the F-4 from 1979-1990. And yes, they did that in the Flint Hills and Smoky Hill’s. During Vietnam they flew F-100’s and the Active Duty was flying -105’s.
I wish Gaijin had included some standard squadron schemes with this $70 jet. Dont get me wrong, the scheme it comes in is cool, but I prefer schemes like the one in the vid, or the ones the F-4J comes with. The USS Midway was the last carrier to operate Phantoms until the F/A-18 entered service since the Midways were too small to carry F-14s. Why no USS Midway paint schemes for the F-4S then? On a side note, there is nothing more satisfying than a successful Sparrow shot.
Fantastic video. Calling a chicken sandwich is a little triggering, but I'm working my way through it. Also, Bo is just being a typical Air Force official during the Vietnam era: Missile: good. Gun: bad
Luckily my father was a mechanic and was there when they were switching the F-4J to the F-4N (if I remember correctly), and most likely helped with doing it though I don't know since I didn't ask about that part. He was part of VF-151 and has a book that's full of the pictures he took when he served

Hate to say it but I’m with Zuit on this one. Beef Wellington is a fillet steak baked in a puff pastry while a corn dog is a sausage that’s been deep fried in corn batter
Oh boy, so when my grandpa was in the Air Force during the Vietnam war he went on 3 sorties, he went in 3 times he flew the last F-106/102 for the Idaho air national guard, and he also flew the RF-4C, but the fun part was that he was the head of NORAD (idk when but it's cool) so yea fun
For most of the enemies us HMD PD it has a much easier time locking and if that still doesnt wanna lock switch to ACM PD HDN... no matter what always use PD mode in the f-4s cause PD dosent care about ground interference and locks alot easier
that one missile took its sweet time leaving the rail Beef wellington vs corn dog . not the same beef wellington is 1 not fried, 2 uses at least a good meat
I noticed your Phantom livery belongs to the Constellation, that’s the carrier my dad served on also ouch “these aren’t the farmers Bo these are people!”
Burger comes from Hamburg steak. Which was basically a hamburger patty as a steak. Slap some buns on it change the name up American style and you got a hamburger.
2:05 I was at Ft Irwin for PC 2022 back in Oct-Nov 2022. I was sitting on top top of my Bradley and I looked up and spotted a pair of A-10s and my first thought was "A-10s! For the record: burger implies a ground meat sandwich. Without the ground meat its not a burger, by that logic a salmon patty on a bun is also a burger.
