I have seen that as well on 2023 Hybrid Mavericks.. I am glad you cleared the issue.. that being said I received my recall notice today on my 22 Maverick hybrid built in mid/ late September 2022.. I have already had it in the shop totalling about a month for other repairs under warranty.. Ford is saying that sometime in October there will be a fix for them..

Does the ford maverick fuel tank have an inner bladder, like the Prius ?

I understand the original “engine fire” issue had to do with mis-machined crankshafts (pin journal fillet too large, I think). Don’t know if there have been other issues leading to thermal events…
Final assembly location of the engine would be irrelevant to the crankshaft defect because the crankshaft is likely made in MX in either case.

I received my 2023 XLT Hybrid Maverick last month. Several days later I discovered that smaller window sticker in the glove box and immediately informed family and friends about the great news! U.S. built engine and transmission! Ford, whoever is responsible for placing those INCORRECT window stickers on the Mavericks should be dealt with and customers are due an explanation!
But so far so good with my MEXICAN made engine, and the MPG is really great! Over 48 MPG on first tank with mixed city/highway miles.
The 2024 Maverick orders open up on July 17th, and had thought about ordering a 2024, but then decided to keep the 23 with the "U.S. made engine". Now, I don't know what I'll do, but do predict that the 24's will sell out in less than a week.

The best ones are made in Mexico since the metsl is more pure and they got plenty of labors to do the right inspection,s , this applies to the legendary 5.0 mexican engine block , super strong.

Hope they fixed the recall # 23S27, which had the issue with engine fires across the hybrid 2.5 engine models.

Not as of the moment. Still waiting on recalls to be completed.

Other than extending the warranty, I'm not sure how they can fix this issue. The issue on the crankshaft is difficult to identify and fix tbh.

Sam...is there an engine cover that Ford makes for the Ecoboost that can be used on a Maverick? I hate the way the Maverick Engine looks without one.

Is it possible that engine is dressed in the USA at or near final assembly and called made in USA accordingly? This might help with things like fuel line issues.

No. And there are NO fuel line issues.

Come on. People are not “making things up in there head”. They are reading the manufacturing label on the car. That label comes from Ford. That you want to blame the misinformation (if there is any) on people making things up rather than on Ford, who says they have no idea how that information got there (I got news for you Ford, you put it there. That is how it got there) is ridiculous.

The absolute worst source of reliable information is user forums.

Unless the Forum members happen to be reading an actual sticker that Ford put on their own truck.

It Isn't false information, if Ford themselves put the sticker on the truck.

Where are they made? They aren’t. At least not very many. Ford Mavericks with hybrid engines are f-ing unicorns. Ordered one a year ago and still no delivery date and now I’m told that I have to re-order a 2024 at a higher price. SCREW FORD. Lost a customer for life. Ford needs customers but customers don’t need Ford.
