I think the best thing about the ARC is Intel was kind of honest about the series when released. Everyone knew that there would be growing pains, unlike AMD and Nvidia releasing GPUs, only to scramble when serious issues arise.
@@ProYamYamPC If you have watch the interviews with Tom Peterson, he knows what he's talking about and his enthusiasm shows. He was the one that pushed Nvidia to allow easier user overclocking when he was there.

Hearing this might just convince people to run arc as a secondary gpu at least. You'd probably have to run a riser cable to get around your main gpu, but productivity on a budget is not unattractive. Plus I'd like to see arc succeed more in this.
The only real issue I faced during my seven months (March '23 to October '23) daily driving an Arc A750 LE were the drivers would sometimes seem to partially crash when I didn't reboot my PC for a long time. There would still be a visual display on my monitor and I could do general tasks, but I wouldn't be able to playback videos, run games, or screen record. Rebooting always fixed it. Beyond that, I just didn't like its relatively high idle power draw (around 30W for 1080p 60Hz). I feel like the perception of bad drivers was overstated, but admittedly I don't play a lot of games, especially not new AAA titles where Arc does seem to struggle.
Did you do a full DDU when you encountered the driver issues? As for the idel power draw, mine is around 30W too. But it's lower than a lot of Nvidia cards I've tested (usually around 40W).
@@ProYamYamPC No, I don't suppose I did. It was a minor inconvenience and helped remind me to reboot my PC, so I never really tried to see if it were fixable. As for idle power, I see about 15W on a GTX 1660 Ti, 10W on an RTX 3050, and 7W on an RTX 4060 Ti (1080p 60Hz single monitor). Perhaps it's higher for higher tier cards.
I bought a a770 and used it for a year. I have a 4070 super which costed about double, but gives about double the frame rate for a bit more power wattage. I am super tempted to just return the 4070 super and stay with the arc a770. Cause it wasn't a bad experience and Nvidia has bugs I do not like. No av1 exporting in davinci relosve free, and second monitor video playback lagging and monitor not waking up from sleep when 2nd monitor plugged into motherboard rather then GPU. I tried everything and man such a headache for what's supposed to be a good Nvidia card.
i went from a 1070 to the a770 when newegg got their 2nd batch of acer cards and, every RTX user i know has complained about how nv have f-ed up multi monitor support. as to video lagging... is it in chromium based apps/browsers? if so, its nv's drivers video acceleration being borked with chrome.. the only fairly consistent solution i found for that is the vulkan beta drivers that... rarely break anything just add more vk support for upcoming vk features. and.. i know a few people who sold 3080's after getting a770's because they could get over 2x the money and, in some cases not lose any fps at all.. hell in a few betas we are in.. they gained because 10gb vram even at 1080 is not quite enough these days... try waterfox if its a browser lag issue though, we discovered this 8+ years ago and you can find my buddies reddit thread still getting replies all these years later.. lol

I've used my A770-16LE since late December of 2022. In the simracing titles I run, I have not had a single crash. That's not to say all is perfect. AMS, AMS2, AC, ACC, RRE, LFS all launched and ran flawlessly. Sadly...but understandably, it took a few weeks of updated drivers, before RF2 would even launch. The first few driver installations were not great. The installer would crash after gathering information prior to installing the driver. I had to download the driver's exe file...extract it using 7zip...then manually install the driver from the Device Manager. That lack of a game recording capture hot key is an annoyance. It has kept me from using that feature since buying the GPU. I'm still having to use OBS. I do love the card though....very smooth in all sim titles. I keep it properly fed with an R7-5800x3D.
Intel seems to be getting better weith new game relases for their drivers compared to 2022/23. But I'm glad yopu managed to fix your driver issues as well
Hey folks just to give you an update. I pulled the trigger on another Arc A770 16gb and have built an Intel 12gen I7K build to put it in to test. I am also going to pull the trigger on a Arch A380 I want to test that with the RTX 3070 as a 2nd GPU for AVI streaming and such. I have to see how that will work. I built a new PC for my Granddaughter and put a new Arc A580 in it due to it is a good all round new GPU that can be used for a lot of things well for under $200..
I recently built my first PC , had a bad mobo which the new one shows up today but after hours of research and comparing , I ended up with the Sparkle A770 OC edition as my GPU choice. I felt being newish with this , the a770 seemed a good fit to grow with and learn from. Plus after every update things seem to only get better so it's only up from here right? Let's hope everything runs well later
Good update Yam Yam. And I can't agree more about ARC control and the need for a hotkey for recording. I don't like the pop ups when you get to desktop either. Also, every time I install drivers it gives that "your system is not compatible" error message. Have you seen it yet in you testing? I am wondering if it's because I paired it with Zen3 and it's referring to deeplink support? I studiously ignore it. BTW, This latest driver update failed the first time when doing a clean install. It rebooted and when it was back at desktop the audio drivers were missing. I reran the update without checking the clean install box and that did the trick. I have updated drivers probably a dozen times or more on this ARC card so I consider it a one off. I use the A750 LE with a 55" 1080 TV so none of the problems with multiple displays. Starfield with the new Steam beta is a big performance improvement using hardware XeSS. Looks much better than FSR as well. I don't stream, so you have my vote to test it out. Interested in how it goes.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I agree, Arc Control has a long way to go. As for the incompatible error, I will need to have a look into it, I can't say I've experienced it. I will report back. I'll be streaming sometime soon to test the AV1 encoder too!
I just started watching this video but I do not think you gave up your RTX 3080. However, I pulled the trigger on a Arc A770 16g due to giving my TV gaming computer RTX 3060 12g away. I am just not sure I will keep it do to I have a RTX 3070 8g that does well at anything I put it to. Do I keep or send back the Arc? I thin I will. Watching to the end I was wrong and had to edit my comment. Good video. The Arc I am getting is a new modern 16g GPU maybe I do the same and sell my RTX 3070.
I got an A770 16gb sparkle card for a new build with a 12100f. Starfield is the only game that gives me issues with random crashes. And it doesn’t like me trying to use Xess upscaler instead of fsr. It crashes then when I switch to xess.
A770 specs wise is comparable to a 6800 xt, but drivers pull that down to a 6650 xt, the price point is that of a 6650 xt as well. If the drivers were in a better spot as there is the couple titles that they just fail with but most no issue, you would never find these in stock.
I used Arc A750 in Windows 10 for almost a year It is fine except for a few minor bugs After using the built in driver update function to update driver, it was not able to connect to the sever to check for update, so I have to DDU every time to update the driver The screen might black for a second randomly, but it just happen might be like once or twice a week Some old game, such as Sherlock Holmes might have a bit graphical errors or low performance (but didn’t tried in these few months) Cossacks 3 had very bad performance (didn’t tried to play for few months) Sinking City might have a little stutters but still playable Other than that, the cards is quite good. I love my card!
I haven't. I can't say how well VR performs on the Arc A750. If I had to guess, it should be better than launch. But I encourage you to watch a channel which focuses on VR, so you can get the best recommendation!
I have been running arc since amd killed support for my radeon vii. Im running am asrock a770 phamtom gaming 16 gig and it runs flawlessly. Ive had minimum issues and intel quickly fixed them. The only thing i wish they would add was a fps counter in the metric overlay
I am literally cheering on Intel. Its like the only company that actually cares of the general gamers and I am hyped for the battlemage. It is probably gonna cause price drops from Nvidia and AMD.
Currys currently has a good deal going on an Acer Predator Arc 770. Im honestly VERY tempted. Im currently running a 6700XT - In theory a much better card but I have had no end of headaches with the drivers and I dont think it runs very well with my 8th gen intel system. The 6700XT was bought out of necessity after my 1080Ti died and my 1080Ti ran unbelievably smooth. I know im probably taking a performance hit but if the Arc 770 is anywhere as good as the 1080Ti then i'll be plenty happy as I dont play all the latest and greatest AAA titles anyway.
That’s interesting I’ve never had any problems with RX6700XT. Drivers are rock solid and performance is still enough for 1440p. Using newest drivers, chipset and Windows 11 version on AM4 with Ryzen 5600X. I’m looking now at getting A770 for my Intel 11700K system and see what full blue experience will be for me.
@@Ornal64 Like i said. Im not sure if its just down to W10 being a hoe or because im running on an outdated Z-370 chipset that this card doesnt like. I'll be going AM5 very soon if things go in my favour so im crossing my fingers that this frustrating situation goes away.

@@ProYamYamPCAMD isn’t fine wine I used a Vega 8 APU, they simply refused to give it RSR, which definitely have 0 technical issue, it was so disgusting. I really glad that I sold my Vega 8 APU computer after a year that there is no sign AMD would give it RSR.
note, colour controls are not in arc control but in IGCC that installs with the latest driver builds along side arccontrol if you dont have it, windows store, "intel graphicss command center" choose the beta ver and away you go... its a bit confusing but, its not far from what and and nv did not so long ago with some pop-out apps for tweaking specific things... so.. not a big deal to me... im old.. i remember nv1, tnt, rage, rage ii...etc... lol...

Is that true??? no performance issues on GTA IV ?. I would buy that card exclusive for it if that is true..
I only played a few missions, but it was totally fine. I’m planning a future video, looking at DX9 performance
Given that it just uses DX9on12, you might be able to achieve your goals with your current GPU.
I bet it's a God at rendering videos.
I just started watching the video, I guess I'll fine out if you mention it.
Oh yeah, for content creation, Arc is the budget king
Will it be abel to run Starwars BAttlefront 1- and 2 the newer ones
Intel Arc FTW
100%
I used Arc A750 in Windows 10 for almost a year
It is fine except for a few minor bugs
After using the built in driver update function to update driver, it was not able to connect to the sever to check for update, so I have to DDU every time to update the driver
The screen might black for a second randomly, but it just happen might be like once or twice a week
Some old game, such as Sherlock Holmes might have a bit graphical errors or low performance (but didn’t tried in these few months)
Cossacks 3 had very bad performance (didn’t tried to play for few months)
Sinking City might have a little stutters but still playable
Other than that, the cards is quite good. I love my card!
Ive got a 6600 xt and can sell and get a 770 for £230 new from currys at this time i use a 1440p monitor do you think its worth the swap? Thanks
It's more of a side grade. I think you'll be better off with the 6600 XT for now, it would save you some hastle
Nice and all, but a big warning in case your motherboard is still PCI-E 3.0 while this is 4.0...
Erm, I think you're mistaken. I have a Z690 Force WiFi with a 13700K. My GPU is 100% running at PCIe gen 4 16x.
Hola, mi amigo.
Yo dude don't suppose you have tried running vr on the arc have you???
I haven't. I can't say how well VR performs on the Arc A750. If I had to guess, it should be better than launch. But I encourage you to watch a channel which focuses on VR, so you can get the best recommendation!
I have 6 Arc Chips at Home. Nice little Calculating Power For The Buck-
I have been running arc since amd killed support for my radeon vii. Im running am asrock a770 phamtom gaming 16 gig and it runs flawlessly. Ive had minimum issues and intel quickly fixed them. The only thing i wish they would add was a fps counter in the metric overlay
That would be a useful feature. I would like an A770 16GB. I’ll see if I can get my hands on one
My only issue I had with mine was multitasking apps. With discord, youtube, and games running at the same time.
That's a similar issue to what I had, was it video playback on a secondary display?
I do have multiple monitors, but I'm unsure if it was related.
nice work
Thanks bro🙏
That's very interesting, I swapped to an older flagship and been ok. 1080ti
I am literally cheering on Intel. Its like the only company that actually cares of the general gamers and I am hyped for the battlemage. It is probably gonna cause price drops from Nvidia and AMD.
i will choose rather Arc 580 then those nVidia rtx 3050 6gb shit and both costs same while performance are huge on arc 580
For real mate. The A580 looks to be a decent GPU if you can get it in your area
@@ProYamYamPC i can get and its cheaper then rtx 3050 6 or 8gb and in same time its faster
this is their second crack at making a gpu😊😊
Arc A750 bought for 189.00 runs better than my 3060ti that I bought used for 300.00.
I mean i know this card is being bottlenecked anyway despite me being clocked at 4.8Ghz. I'll be going AM5 very soon if things go in my favour so im crossing my fingers that this frustrating situation goes away.
*Intel PLEASE Just release some good ENTRY level GPU's and you will takeover the market $80-$180 can house Two options both at 8gigs just beating a GTX 1080/RTX 2060 super and your good*
The Arc A750 can go for as low as $205 (not quite at $185), but I still think cards like the A750 are a brilliant value right now. And they will only get better with driver updates
@@ProYamYamPC yes i agree i just hope the newer cards will really fill that much needed entry level gap.
The worst part of the build is that corsair aio.
I agree, but don't worry, I've got a project planned which involves getting rid of it
I got an A770 for $150 best money I have ever spent.
$150 for an A750 is a banger of a deal. Congrats🫡
@@ProYamYamPCA770 not A750 sorry.
@@silverhawk7324 Oh, even better than mate, absolute score
I have full confidence that Intel will only improve its GPUs.
I think they will too. Like AMD Fine Wine, but better
@@ProYamYamPCAMD isn’t fine wine
I used a Vega 8 APU, they simply refused to give it RSR, which definitely have 0 technical issue, it was so disgusting.
After that, they simply ditch GCN cards while it is still very capable. On the other hand, Nvidia, they are still supporting GTX900 series.
I really glad that I sold my Vega 8 APU computer after a year that there is no sign AMD would give it RSR.
can't wait for battlemage
Vex already did this.
And now I've done it :)
note, colour controls are not in arc control but in IGCC that installs with the latest driver builds along side arccontrol if you dont have it, windows store, "intel graphicss command center" choose the beta ver and away you go... its a bit confusing but, its not far from what and and nv did not so long ago with some pop-out apps for tweaking specific things... so.. not a big deal to me... im old.. i remember nv1, tnt, rage, rage ii...etc... lol...
