    The arms you recommended are amazing but they are also ridiculously expensive.
    I have 49 inch monitor and 27 inch above it both mounted on the same 1 meter tall monitor post. Each has individual arm attached to the post.
    Post costed 35 Euro
    Arms costed 17 Euro each.
    I have this setup for over 2 years now and it did not fail a single time.
    I do extend forward arm with 49 inch monitor too whenever I setup my sim rig. When it is extended the post slightly leans forward under the load.
    Everything is set on a havy, very stable wooden desk.
    All I'm trying to say is...sure, if I had 400 dollars lying around I would buy one of the arms you advertised. But frankly, most people have more important things to spend money on.

    Here's another tip. I have one of those IKEA desks that are filled with paper. They do not recommend using a monitor arm with this desk, but I' had two of them. I bought a couple of sets of wide reinforcement plates off of Amazon. These are metal plates that go under and over the desk to spread out the mounting pressure. I have a very heavy 49" Samsung CRG9 on my desk right now and the arm supporting it is working great.

      Oh man, thanks for this. We also have the IKEA white desk and noticed the thin material is starting to be dented.

    Just FYI, you can often get 3D printed adapters for monitors that don't have VESA mounting holes. I had a 34" ultrawide HKC monitor, and the adapter for it was only like $10. Same with some of the MSI monitors that have a fancy stand but no VESA mounting holes. Purchase an adapter. They work great.

    Hi! I have a 49" Samsung Odyssey CRG9 DQHD 120Hz monitor, can you recommend an arm for it? I have a standing desk that doesn't have a metal frame on the edges.

    Hi my desk surface from the back to clamp the monitor arm is too long whereas it’s is open desk mine has a drawer so it makes the surface from the back very long will this not allow me to have a monitor arm because as i seen in the pictures they have a small clamp which wouldn’t fit my desk, is there any recommendations

    Why do people mount monitor arms off to the side with ultrawide monitors? Shouldn't it be dead center directly underneath the screen to maximize longevity? Does mounting it to the side save space behind the desk?

    • @gregorymoore2877
      @gregorymoore2877 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It might save space on the desk directly in front of you. Some of these monitor arms are incredibly over built.

    If I have a desk thats made of particle board, would a monitor arm bracket help me use a monitor arm?

      I have a desk that is particle board with a thin wood veneer (Karlby from IKEA.) I did the grommet mount and it feels pretty solid. I'm sure I could have used the C-clamp and that would have worked just as well.

    What could we do when the arm can`t hold the weight anymore? The problem with this arms is that they are disposable.

  • @kashk818

    Ok, I am looking for a solution for a 49" Curved Samsung monitor for a adjustable height powered standing desk., the Desk is 24" deep, I need an arm that will be able to handle the 44 LB monitor weight, but also let me push the monitor back way from the desk so it is not in my face. So something which I can mount to the desk, and the monitor can be pushed backwards, still being in the middle of the desk. I have tried a few things, but the pole is the limitation, as you cannot push the monitor more than where the pole is mounted to the desk. Any idea's?

    • @bqqj
      @bqqj ปีที่แล้ว

      Most monitor arms have small screws that prevent the arm from going back ,so you just need to remove it.

    No need to make a huge hole like in the video, just enough a hole the size of the screw.
