Hi Gerald, I have a 91 year old mom that I take care of her. My question is if we were to move to Thailand, is the medicine is available like in the USA and as easy to get it for her ? Thank you.

Many generic versions of medications are available here cheaply. I would advise reaching out to a reputable doctor to ensure that we have what your mom needs. try these guys www.medconsultasia.com/

Hi Gerald, in your years of living in Thailand, do you find it necessary to learn Thai? Or would one be able to live in Thailand without learning/speaking Thai? Thanks in advance for your sharing. Much appreciated.

It quite easy to live in Bangkok and tourists destinations speaking only English. If you're planning to go to some remote village, you might need some Thai to survive. Thai is pretty easy to learn as the grammar is pretty simple, no verb conjugation. The hardest part for me is the tones as it's a foreign concept to English speakers. I still can't read the language, it's got its own alphabet.

I am shifting to Thailand on july 2023 as i have got my elite visa. Will be there for good 20years.
