Good video but try jacking it in off somewhere solid on the subframe/wishbone. Also you could refill from the reverse light switch on top of gearbox. 👍🏽

According to the Haynes manual it recommends ESSO EZL848 or TOTAL H6965 gear oil (SAE 75W-80W) and on the 6-speed transmissions (MCM and BVM6) the capacity is 2.1 liters
Look it up on manual how many liters go into gearbox and fill it in..it does not matter the position of the car aslong as its the correct amount installed
So the right amount is 2 l? Cause then you can lower it when letting oil out and raise it when adding oil and doesn't have to be afraid of oil sipping out

I really couldn't say. It could be something very simple but it's worth having a mechanic listen to the noise to see if he/she can diagnose where the sound is coming from.

A certain amount of oil will have gathered behind the filler/level plug, and will trickle out when it is removed; this does not necessarily indicate that the level is correct. To ensure that a true level is established, wait until the initial trickle has stopped, then add oil as necessary until a trickle of new oil can be seen emerging. The level will be correct when the flow ceases;.
I'm not sure of the exact size and they can also differ between transmissions, but you can use any copper washer with an inner diameter that's slightly bigger than the drain plug threads and is about 1mm thick. Just make sure you tighten it to the specified torque.

If the mechanic lifted my car this way, I would break both his hands! It's a pigsty. The car does not lift beyond the threshold! And with this jack at all!

My 5 speed transaxle had a Castrol BOT 402 factory fill and it was still red by 73k and 18 years of city driving when it got changed (with yellow 75w-90 TDL gear oil). Though the drain plug magnet grew a nice little "afro".

I once could not open the fillet plug and had to refill through the drain plug. Is it not better to use a breaker bar instead of a ratchet

It's a manual box, A.F.A.I.K they don't have filters, just a magnet to catch metal residue.
They dont have one.just a magnetic sump plug

What size crush washer does the drain plug take please? Can I just buy an assortment pack or is it a special size? Thank you.

The car has been sitting up for a while so there's a thin layer of rust on them. I'll be changing them shortly :)
