I mean atleast the French protests made sense. You wouldn't be a bit pissed if your retirement age got raises from 63 to 65 because your president pushed through a law without it passing your elected body?
The only issue is that they were on private land and didnt leave when asked to do so, therefore being guilty of trespassing. Civil disobedience is necessary for America to stay free. Just not on private land and intentionally disrupting those that dont want to be involved.
No its not. Civil disobedience, by definition, infringes on the rights of others. What about their freedoms??? Who gets to decide when your issues are so important that others can be sacrificed for your agenda? YOU? You want to participate in a revolution, then you live with the results and take your lumps.
They need to be held to their own standards though. You think they’d call it protesting if Republicans did it? Wait, we already saw how the treat protesters that aren’t on their side.
Perhaps you ought to listen to those definitions again 🤦♀. Breaking laws you don't want to obey no matter what your reason is is definitely not "necessary for America to stay free". You sound like the college "protesters" shown in this video and "Summer of Love Saint Floyd worshippers.
Have it registered properly with the right people and do it peacefully then yeah, people may listen. Civil disobedience today, on or off private property, is just asking for a lot of the rights we fought for (womens' rights, lgbt rights, removal of segregation just to name a few) to become undone.

I always research facts and don't gobble up media talking propagandists' because it seems that nowadays, it's almost always the opposite of what reality actually is. I also agree with your stance on the leadership pushing for tickets and overreach when it comes to quotas and such, but that's bad leadership and not the fault of the police "most of the time". I also see how they themselves are abused by the social justice mobs and I can't state enough how much I despise when they THEMSELVES know what the right thing to do is, but instead say stupid stuff like "I'm just doing my job", when they're ordered to stand down against unruly mobs, and/or carry out orders against law abiding citizens standing up for their constitutional rights. That's where I criticize them the most. In the military I had toxic leadership too, and when they made requests that stepped into realms other than those upheld by UCMJ and Constitution, even when I faced punishment, (personal experience here), I did what was right, cussed a few people out about it and let my voice and objection be heard, and in one of those occasions was even punished for it. So believe me, I agree w you more than disagree, but I won't allow that prejudice to cloud reality.

What’s worse is they doxxed the president’s personal phone number and put him through hell just two weeks after his mother died so yeah the rest of the student body wasn’t having it.
Wouldn't be surprised if many of these "protests" are being organized online by Russian trolls. They have a long history of trying to create problems like this on social media and encouraging idiots to engage in behavior that just destabilizes society or leads to conflicts. They do this with all sides, whether political or racial or anything else they can use to create chaos.
Instant gratification generation quickly becoming the instant consequences generation.
I keep telling people Georgia State Patrol is built different. If one pulls me over, I go ahead get my girl to put money on my books.

Nice to see cops who are actually in shape.
I'm pretty sure the bar to become a trooper is much much higher, they also get paid a shit ton more so it's to be expected you're not getting in unless you're actually fit.

That’s how almost all of GSP members are built and don’t them and Atlanta,DeKalb,Cobb,Clayton Co. PD have to go into foot pursuit mode…. It’s outright scary

Fantastic form and that Trooper was a sight!!! Wow!.😅😅
Trooper didn’t even lose his hat in that tackle!!
He learned the technique Drill Instructors/ Drill Sergeants use to intimidate the campaign cover that it stays on their head out of pure fear and respect ( if he isn’t a former DI/DS already)
As far as the Tackle goes, keep in mind that people have been fearing the UGA defense for the past few years. He was probably a backup, looking for more playing time.
I believe this stuff was covered back when I was in school and we studied the Constitution. Maybe they should go back to teaching that in required courses in high school.
I thought the lady was saying “I lightly hit him on the head” 😂 can tell you the judge isn’t about to the gavel lightly at court ma’am
The Georgia State Patrolman that made the tackle is the same Patrolman that carried off his his SOY trophy after that clean hit tackle. 😂
My fav video in a while. That last tangent of memory lapse.
They say some people don’t have an inner dialogue. I think I qualify as I’m always talking to myself, talking myself through the problem/process.
Anywhoozle, you’re an inspiration and I appreciate you. Thank you.
I mean atleast the French protests made sense. You wouldn't be a bit pissed if your retirement age got raises from 63 to 65 because your president pushed through a law without it passing your elected body?
They’ve done it to us twice in my lifetime…
Nah it’s why republicans are losing states like Alabama and Missouri, their shit policies are coming back to bite them
You just described the ATF.
😢 My retirement age is 68. 😅
You mean like unelected bearucrats who make laws all the time?
The issue is very few Americans actually agree with them and they aren’t really arguing for a meaningful policy change to most Americans
Have it registered properly with the right people and do it peacefully then yeah, people may listen.
Civil disobedience today, on or off private property, is just asking for a lot of the rights we fought for (womens' rights, lgbt rights, removal of segregation just to name a few) to become undone.
I'm mean truly people have lost the knowledge of "talk shit get hit" and "FAFO". No I don't mean violence as a whole, but at the same time, applies to following laws. Great video Rich

I love the way you delineated between protest and civil disobedience. Largely because you didn't downplay the importance or even validity of civil disobedience (it was very important to our social reforms that came in the early '60s) fantastically done Angry Cops, and been a big fan for a long time!

AC, check out the videos of the students at UNC holding up the American flag when protesters tried to take it down. They had stuff thrown at them, screamed at, maybe even spat on but they held it up. The chancellor came out and had the flag returned to it's rightful place and then made a statement.
There is a horrific lack of understanding from our American citizens when it comes to actual rights. I remember being taught this stuff in middle school Social Studies class...did they just drop that curriculum?
From what i remember from my social studies was just history
They didn't just drop it, they usurped and twisted it.
Back in Highschool social studies was just history, took a street law class that actually went over it though.
Yeah. What, did you think the government wants you to know your rights?
Yeah, that Trooper that picked up the student. OMG. I was laughing so hard I was crying. They don't get paid enough for all the nonsense they have to put up with. I also say "Good job!" and "Thank you!"

Justice? By removing their first amendment right to protest? Shame that conservatives are willing to take rights from people who don't agree with them. Isn't that what our founding fathers fought against?
@@fullbirdprivateSo Idk if this deleted my comment but I’ll say again, I focus on the 10s of 1000s of peaceful successful interactions that the GSP engage in, rather than the onesie twosies. You hold standards only saints could live up to and sorry to rain in on your parade but they statistically perform an outstanding job year round. I live here, go bS to somebody else w that garbage.
@@fullbirdprivate I am a native NewYorker (NYC not upstate) and growin up I always fled the PoPo because I had your same common misconception about police. Before I start tho, let me say that I appreciate the respectful response. I have also moved around a lot and dealt w police fairly regularly for speeding, have been stopped because I looked like a POI, searched because my car matched somebody else's car, and so on, throughout VA, TX, KY, TN, AZ, NY, NJ, CA, etc...but I ended up in GA. I have a mixed bag of interactions but all even when I didn't agree with them were kept respectful on my part and compliant. I don't agree with all the stops but I did what I was supposed to do. A few could've gone really bad but respect goes a long way. That being said, I hate the abuse of power by position or authority, and with that I will say I agree w your outrage toward those despicable individuals that use their position to trample on citizens' rights. I'm not foreign to these losers nor am I in denial. I do however, know as a matter of fact, that those abuses are far and few in between depending on the city/state/county/district that they operate in. I did my 20 yrs and I'm pushin almost 50 so I get it man. I'm always down with learning new information. I also don't discount yours or anyone elses' bad experiences in contrast to my own personal and/or people close to me's anecdotal evidence to justify my personal position.

@@American-JelloIm not defending ignorance when resources are at our fingertips. But man the Google legal definition of Civil Disobedience and results for 'examples of CD today' are brain dead. In the list is walk-outs and product boycotts. 🤦♂️
@@jdiluigi wait it called boycotts a example of cd? cd is a form of protest BUT one you can get arrested for
@@jdiluigi the problem I’m seeing is that sometimes civil disobedience is important, explicitly when the government is the one doing wrong. An example of CD done right would be the sit-ins at “white-only” bars during the civil rights movement, right? They were technically trespassing, which is illegal. Saying CD is always bad means that you can only protest the government in areas where the government agrees with you.
