Hey, AC. Local soldier in that area where this happened. Fun fact- the SLO County DA where he was supposed to be prosecuted is a Major in the CA National Guard. Surprising that he wouldn’t scoop this up immediately.
He was probably told from higher up to give it to the Army to handle and he did, thinking that they'd kick this fuck in the dick. And now I bet he feels like absolute dogshit and I can't blame him.
Throughout my 20+ years in the military it was always taught that if you were guilty, you wanted a civilian court because you had the best chance of a light sentence or of getting off altogether. If you were innocent, you wanted a military court because they would conduct a more thorough investigation and discover your innocence. I'm guessing that since many LEOs are former military, they thought by turning it over to the UCMJ, the scumbag would get a harsher sentence. Epic fail
I think your statement is largely correct for most enlisted and junior officers. That being said, once you have been in long enough (or know the right people) to be in the good ole boys network (ESPECIALLY for officers), you flip it back to keeping everything in the military.
@@thespectator5259 they do this with regular sexual assault too. Not that I think these are equally the same. My point being it’s a variety of crimes not being prosecuted to the full extent of the law knowing it’s because of power dynamics. (I know one of u will say some lie) yes but a full actual investigation is still in order and usually isn’t conducted. Due process barely exists anymore lol
I retired after 26 years in the Army and my final duty position was working as a paralegal and the amount of separation packets I worked on for enlisted was mind blowing...the chain of command was quick and swift with justice on enlisted but when it came to officers there was always a great pause on how they'd be handled and they seldom pursued them with the gusto they did with the enlisted Soldiers. SMH
I arrested a Cpt. For the same thing. The post cmdr wouldn't let me put hand irons on him to take hime out of his office. He wanted to keep it quiet to not tarnish the Army officer corp.
Last I checked a post commander can't tell a mp what to do, as they arnt normally in their chain of command. Hope he tripped going down the steps at least 😂
I used to work for a sheriff’s office near an Army post where it was common practice to hand over soldiers to the post that were arrested. The prosecutor there was very aggressive but generally let the military handle its own. I bet he stops doing that after this incident.
So... Someone trying to sell vapes seems to have gotten punished more. Even the ones who gave a religious exemption for the "poke" got a worse punishment... But Child "9orn" and voyeurism gets you... relocated? Someone make it make sense.
Simple. If they don't force out all the people with morals for no good reason and hold on to all the sickos: the Democrats would never be able to weaponize the military against parents who don't want their underage children to be handed step-by-step instructions on how to engage in potentially dangerous $3x acts at school.
🤯🤯😤😤😡😡👹👹☠️☠️ Maybe we need to investigate the judge, DA and prosecutor to see if they're like him... I might just throw up... this disgusts me on numerous levels... my jaw hurts from how tightly I was clenching while watching this.. keep up the great work AC
About 20 years ago, There was a major who got a specialist pregnant. She was demoted to E1 But he got moved to a different post. I knew then that an officer would never be held accountable
This is definitely NOT the first time this guy's done something like this. This is just the first time he got caught. Guarantee he tried sprinting home to wipe a hard drive. What a POS.
Ranger tab AND the ROTC patch. Charming.100% they still don't know why the soldiers aren't taking the mandatory training seriously and don't trust the military systems with their problems.
The judge won't care. Do you think he all of a sudden going to say, "Man, really dropped the ball on that one." I think it is more of a good ole boy system. They don't care what lower enlisted think. If an officer is criticized, they retaliate. Hope AC's command has his 6.
I have "transformational" training here shortly. It's all 350-1 training condensed into 3 days of learning. I'm going to ask about this LTC when they get to the part about how serious SHARP is.
My friend Kevin Luna was shot and killed by his own Sgt. in Iraq. He claimed that he thought his m9 was clear after cleaning it. He literally walked across the room, took aim, and pulled the trigger. Do you think the Army did anything about it?! F-no! It's listed as a training incident and the sergeant is living happily ever after with his family in Germany...
This proves why Sexual Harassment and Assault Cases need to be taken away from the commands and prosecuted by a 3rd party Law Enforcement Agency. I personally believe CID, NCIS, The Army MP Corps, Navy MAs, AF Security Forces, etc need to be pulled from the services and placed under their own branch and just detailed down to the installations
@@YourWifesBoyfriend quite obviously not this fucking one and if anything a lack of bias in the investigation would help that scenario too. Unless you are an officer that wants to be able to abuse young girls then that wouldn't help you at all.

This is why I’m so confused as a mother of a 17 year old son. I don’t know if I should encourage him to consider service in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marines, or RUN! It’s a sad day and age when mothers like me don’t worry about whether or not our sons are worthy of serving, but whether or not the service is worthy of our sons.
How could anyone ever excuse this. I (had) more faith in our justice system than this. Then for our military to piss away the opportunity to resolve this issue, it's truly disgusting.

Amazingly, the Military Police on military installations do NOT police the officers.
it's the same for Chiefs in the navy.
For how cliché it is, this is why I left the army. The army will destroy an enlisted soldiers life for the smallest stuff, but when its an officer its just pushed under the rub.
Such corruption..
Absolutely horrible how punishments are handled

You're good angry cop. What a breath of fresh air to hear from someone who don't mince words.
The officer corps needs to be disbanded. The dual class system is a relic of a by gone era. It's existence is antithetical to American ideals.
Why doesn't a civilian victim get a civilian court

I retired after 26 years in the Army and my final duty position was working as a paralegal and the amount of separation packets I worked on for enlisted was mind blowing...the chain of command was quick and swift with justice on enlisted but when it came to officers there was always a great pause on how they'd be handled and they seldom pursued them with the gusto they did with the enlisted Soldiers. SMH
I arrested a Cpt. For the same thing. The post cmdr wouldn't let me put hand irons on him to take hime out of his office. He wanted to keep it quiet to not tarnish the Army officer corp.
Not cuffing and letting them continue to serve us what actually tarnishes the officer corps. I don't understand how so many can't see that.
The officer corp is already tarnished. There is no reputation to protect.
