I was on the drug team (a regular MP Investigator in a CID Office) and there was a case where a LTC had thousands of CP pics and videos.
They didn't do shit to the LTC. Didn't even relieve him until one of the guys decided to start calling in all sorts of people ranging frim the XO and CSM to random ass privates in one of the companies, to interview him and get asked "did your know LTC Soandso had CP on his government laptop?"

The more time passes and stories like this come out the more I realize my sister had the right idea. Her kids are all grown now and have no trouble at all navigating technology. I knew a brigade commander who had a hardon for kicking people out of the military. At the time, I questioned why he focused so much energy on that, as opposed to the other 1000 things a brigade commander needs to focus on. Then I hear stories like this, and it makes me rethink my opinion of him. We do need people policing the ranks and getting rid of those that will pull us down.

Yeah assault in the Military is insane. I got assaulted by a woman when my roommate threw a party at our house the Friday we came back from the field. I played beer pong with a friend and we wiped the entire house out. 13 games later and I was just above being passed out drunk, I was low crawling because I couldn't walk drunk and I low crawled my.way up stairs where my roommate damn near tripped over me and I proceeded to low crawl to my room, lock the door and Black out. Then I woke up the next morning with random female in my bed and she then proceeds to tell me how she broke into my room with a finger nail file and credit card. Then she told me hiw she took full advantage of Me as I was passed the F**k out. Once I finally got her out of the house I went to shower because I felt as dirty as a used tampon and I saw that I had black and purple bruises, bite marks, and hickies from my neck to waist. Men are not the only predators in the military and I know first hand what it's like to have your self worth and mental security stolen from you and then to be unable to say anything about it because just 3 weeks earlier I had a friend get a company grade article 15 for making out with a married woman,(no he didn't know she was married, I was there when she approached him and when he asked if she married, she said no, and he asked why are you here, sh3 said she's visiting her brother and sister in law.) Well she lied and it turned out she was married to someone in our unit. 6 months after I was assaulted I found out that the woman who broke into my room was married to a soldier in my company as well. Yeah I would have been royally f**ked if I had said something.

I pass out on the floor in my buddies room, a chick comes in and grabs me by the back of my shirt and drags me on my hands and knees to another room. Everyone thought it was funny. I didn’t. Especially the next day when i was supposed to go to a girls bday party that i had been starting to date and really liked. I had hickies all over me. I barely remember anything but flashes of her on top of me. Then she goes to school on Monday and brags to everyone what happened. Ruined any chance at the relationship i wanted. She ended up getting a little famous for some of the social justice stuff about 10 years later. Crazy shit.

Used to be. Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) defines sodomy as "unnatural carnal copulation". It prohibits any type of unnatural carnal intercourse, whether accomplished by force or fraud, or with consent, and does not distinguish between an act committed in the privacy of one's home, with no person present other than the sexual partner.

Article 125 applies to all military personnel, and defines sodomy as "any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal". As someone who had severe mental illness happening and was on the internet seeking attention in the late 90s, early 00s, I have to second the idea that parents keep a CLOSE eye on what their kids are doing. I was being groomed at the age of 12 or 13 by an adult male of an age I don't know. Thank goodness I never gave any information to this male about my actual whereabouts, nor did I send a photo; but to this day I still feel dirty and wronged by what actually went on. At the time I was just so grateful to feel wanted and desired (plus I was severely depressed and thinking about life-ending things), that I went along with it. Could have been so much worse, but the damage is still there.
And to the people who prey on the young... I hope you get every ounce of karma you deserve, with interest.
