- super happy to see the Quad Lock cases get an update. And this update, for me, fixes one of the biggest issues with the quad lock iPhone cases. And that's the ability to function with other MagSafe products. Usually, I would have to take my quad lock case off when I was done riding and then switch to a different case, but NO MORE! Great update. Looking forward to seeing what QuadLock does next.

Great case and mount but it is flawed as it doesn’t charge with my Audi wireless charger or apple wireless charger or my wireless stand, in fact it doesn’t charge with most other wireless chargers only Quadlocks own devices!! Very disappointing from that perspective, I did try to get in touch and did have a online chat but was told exactly what I just discovered above, so they basically said good luck but only our chargers are recommended, pity they take such a poor customer service stance. But great case just don’t expect it to charge.

A reminder that apple is standardizing the magsafe technology with QI2, so this will be a good buy even for those without Apple devices!
S22 owners and pixel 7/pro owners like myself, take advantage of mag for using magsafe technology :)
i LOVE my quadlock original case for iphone 12 pro max, have had it on from brand new, never had a cracked screen and its fallen alot when at work. The only thing im dissapointed is I wish there was a ridge around the cameras because ive now got cracked glass on my camers which means they need to replace the entire rear glass of the iphone, $800aud.

Would you say that the original quadlock case would be more secure than the mag case when mounted as the mag case doesn't twist and click on?
Can you film with your cell phone a video while its on the mount or is there a vibration wave to video on this mount too

It can do either. There's special mounts for the mag case that only use the magnet, but it can still twist and attach to the regular mounts
@@Spacesharkie just another thing to buy and then it won't work with wireless charging. I guess this product had its use at one time and still may for extreme sports when you must have your phone withing reach at all times.

Are the buttons any better on the mag cases than the standard? I have the standard case for my S22 but just ordered a new phone, I'll have to buy a new case. I'll go the cheap route, get the standard case and only use it for the bike if the button presses still suck on the mag case. The button presses give no feedback on the standard case, spongy and hard to press or feel presses.
all you have to do is gently cut the rubber bands along the long edges of the buttons. The buttons will work much better.
Is the added ring magnetic or is it the case itself that's magnetic my wireless charging at home won't work with a magnetic case
The added ring is only plastic. The magnets are part of the case. If your wireless charger won't work it portable isn't Quadlock brand.
Does it work with peak design MagSafe wallet?
Is the ring removal tool specific to the case or can I use something like a pen? I wanted to cover my current ring with vinyl since they didn't have any colours I liked, but I don't have the removal tool. I just don't want to break anything :/

It looks like a sim ejector tool would work fine, but I don't have the case yet so I'm not certain

So sad, I got a pixel 4a thinking i could get a real quadlock case finally....nope. they only make it for the 4a 5g and the 4, which are different sizes than the normal 4a. AAAAAAA lol

I wish they could do away with "aligning" so that it can be seamlessly used in cars etc.
There is disclaimer on the website that says the new mag case should not be used on bicycles or motorcycles.
It should not be used MAGNETICALLY. It's deliberately backwards compatible with the twist lock cases so it can still be mounted on bikes and motorbikes securely.
@@kulaak-krii the problem with this new design tho is the mag mounts are rotated 45 degrees. The original is a + on the mount, the mag mounts are an X. So I'd you use the old mounts your phone will be diagonal unless you rotate your mount 45 degrees. For the 1 inch ball mount I use that's annoying because the unlock tab isn't straight to the right anymore.
@@integraloutdoors you should be able to setup the mount and unlock tab to be perfectly compatible with the mag cases. like you said, the mag cases (and mounts) are an X layout. So just rotate the mounts. They still work exactly the same.
@@kulaak-krii not all the mounts can be rotated tho. Yes my ram mount in my truck I can rotate, but then the blue tab is at a 45 degree angle and would be behind my phone instead of sticking straight out the side. My bike mount blue tab is mounted at 9 o'clock and can't be adjusted, so my phone would be diagonal, the mount is a 90 degree bend single piece. I think it's a cool idea but clearly not universal, you're only gonna get the best experience if you go all mag mount or all traditional.
@@integraloutdoors I've got a mix. Mag in the car. Original on my Indian with the vibration dampening mount too. No issues here.
