BRITS IN COTABATO CITY (Misunderstood Philippines Region?)

  • WHAT IS COTABATO CITY?
    Join me as I tour this misunderstood region of the Philippines with a fellow Brit named Dave! He's lived here on and off for many years, and it holds a special place in his heart.
    Before then, I ride the Alamada mountain road and go to Asik-Asik Falls - which turns out to be closed!
    A beautiful part of Mindanao!
    ** Please exercise caution if you travel to these areas. There is some not so nice history here. It is much better if you have local friends. Just in case, you know!

      @@wavemaker2077 because UK have 4 sides England, Scotland, Wales (I believe from where KD came from) and Northern Ireland. They have different accent when they speak (based on my experienced), David has an irish accent but im not that kinda sure if it is.
      Because currently i am working here in the UAE and I have 3 colleagues from the UK and each of them have different accents 1 from Wales, 1 from Northern Ireland and the other 1 is from England but his origin is from scotland

    Thank you Kumander for showing the many beautiful places in Mindanao. I am 84 years old and shamefully never been to these majestic, mystic biggest island of the country. I might not be able to but because of you and Kulas, I was able to see places and prominent areas of different provinces in Mindanao. Wishing you forever health and best regards to the wife and your love of life daughter Lilly.

    What a lovely place the scenery of Daltan falls, the tall mountains and your tour guide are great both in water falls and the story teller guide in Cotabato City. I love the way our Muslim brothers and sisters warmly welcome you so great people they are. The Mosque architecture is so beautiful love the artwork and workmanship in designing the Mosque.

    This leaves me speechless brother. Thank you so much for this, for helping us tell the world what Cotabato City and Bangsamoro Region at large now is. It is really been an honor to be able to meet you and join you in some of your escapades here. Looking forward to more adventures with you and brother Dave in the future. May ALLAH (SWT) preserve and protect you from all forms of danger. Keep being good news to the Filipino people. Padayon Suled (brother).

    The drone views of Cotabato make it evident how truly beautiful the area is. Daltan Falls was so amazing with its curtain-like formation!
    I wish the acoustics in the Bangsamoro Museum had been better for recording sound on your video. Would have enjoyed hearing your guide better. What I could make out was quite interesting, however.

    • @KumanderDaot
      @KumanderDaot  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Sorry about the sound, I borrowed footage from another camera 🙁
      Cotabato truly is beautiful though!

    • @christopherturco197
      @christopherturco197 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@KumanderDaot I understand about the sound. There's just too much echo in a gallery like that (tile floors, glass cases, and lots of walls with little or nothing on them to absorb the sound), so it's unavoidable.
      Still enjoyed seeing the museum, so thanks!

    Kumander, a good choice for not eating the beetle nut. A freshly peeled one can be very intoxicating and not in a good way. Sun dried ones are less intoxicating but still takes getting used to it. Chewed all over South East Asia as a substitute to chewing tobacco ( by the way there is no tobacco in betel nut but is still linked to being a carcinogen). Safe travels !!😊

They come from Kimagango Midsayap about 45 minutes to Cotabato❤They were poor her parents couldn't afford to buy shoes to attend the graduation ceremony😢My father rose from the ranks retired from Deped RX as SED Asst Chief❤He never instill fear in us to visit Cotabato instead he shared something I'll never forget,that once there was this encounter of the rebels , Ilaga and The PA, people (marites) would go near the conflict so some business minded locals sell ice drop 😂😂😂for people to much on while being entertained of whats happening around❤
