- IT'S ALL OVER. The fishpond repairs are complete, so I go to check them out and then talk about what's next for this land in Davao Oriental! I show the before and after too, for perspective on the awesome work that the crew has completed.
Then I take the workers back to Hinatuan and spend a night in Bislig!
This is raw and lots of life included!

Wow! I am blown away by what those three men did to build up and re-enforce the soil surrounding your fishpond house. It now looks like a sanctuary, a safe place where you can relax and decompress!

I have high admiration for you, KD, because you didn't give up on your Philippine life because of your health problem. Keep it up!
Your fish pond being adjacent to an estuary river leading to the mouth of the sea is prone to seasonal flooding during high king tides and rainy season. You might need to maintain your embankment on a regular basis. We can't beat nature, it always win. Climate change are already happening in many parts of the world. We can just hope for the best. 👍 Good luck.
Your eye for the camera shots, the editing, even the musical score it really says how much you have evolved telling a story, setting a mood and tone in every video you now make. So I'll just mention the choice of music you used really just brought back memories of my time in the Philippines. It's just a feeling, I know. But it makes me long for wanting to return again. Really good video Anselm. I hope things are going well for you and your family. Keep on rolling Big Wheel. Get that ball joint fixed before it breaks.
looking good with the bamboo retaining wall and when you have more funding try to add more good quality bamboo get the thick ones in between the other bamboo retaining post but make sure make it more taller specially the one that is holding the soil on the other side of the pond next to the river so when the river goes high the soil will not be erroded and you can still make the walking paddies higher and put some fish but instead have people rent the hut for a day and just provide some hammock and the guest can experience fishing and their catch can be cook for a fee and you can install your bamboo bar and you can do your bar tending again just an idea and buy some nice kayak and have them rented for a day the river is there use it to your advantage or have somebody make you a nice bamboo raft that your guest can rent and use just like the bamboo rafting in Jamaican river Good luck just take things one day at a time and stay safe God Bless

Cateel bagangga hinterlands have a lots of logging. That cause floods in low lying areas. Thats why theres a lot of abandoned fish pond in ur place

With that extreme high tide it looks like the fishpond builders you hired finished up just in time. Who knows whether your bahay would have collapsed into the fishpond with so much water from the river. I'm happy for you that it's all coming together! 👍

Highest tide in Ph comes April, May and June.
@@LoneWolf-oi4yx I think in Cateel, it’s the later month of each year like this month. Remember last year, his fish pond was destroyed and he lost the commercial tilapias. Amihan is already there now as you can see the high tide when he went to Mama Rose’s beach front

Aside from the normal wear and tear parts that needs replacement every now and then , the Toyota engine is a really reliable drive that you can count on .. specially with so much long drives and challenging road you do 🙂

congratulations! its really neat to find good people who honestly know how to do things. Why don’t you bring medium sizes gravel to scatter on the pathways and around your kubo to keep the mud intact below and keep everyone’s feet clean after washing and before going inside the kubo.Just my 2 cents. 😅Really nice renovation!

We are just starting the asphalting on the new Cebu bridge and the smell of freshly laid asphalt is soothing, also when we did it in UK winters was great to stand on to get warm.

Fish pond coming on again in leaps and bounds again now, glad that you have got your passion back.
Cliff can do all the car work for you Anselm, he was a mechanic over here for 45 years with his own business a few times and was Balas MOT inspector for his last 3-5 years in the UK, and a good chance for an introduction to each other as he is only a few miles from you really being in Cogon on Samal, 10 minutes from Babak. He's a really good bloke and a wealth of knowledge, You would spot his house in Cogon as it's the only one flying a Welsh flag on the island.
Anyway i'll continue watching your video now mate and big love from Bala and congratulations on getting the fishpond up and running again :)

8:00 Judging by the bus number and the time of day, I believe you saw the very first trip of Bachelor bus that passes through this particular road going to Cateel going north from Tagum through Nabunturan, Compostela and Aliwagwag. Their normal route to Cateel goes through the coastal road through Mati, Tarragona and Baganga. Pretty cool!

It was about 2pm so I think it would have been the third trip... Not sure.. but the driver was very nice and slowed down to let me overtake him!

Add taller bamboo within stomach tall like a balcony or at the side of your pond in the river side make it taller bamboo, its like a wind breaker for typhoon.
