The guy with the scope who wasn't firing was doing recon. You don't always use your scope to fire. You also use it to give collect information. Like binoculars. If he started firing, he would have immediately given up his position. Having said that, it's pretty obvious from him having been shot right after that, that his position was already compromised anyways...
As an aspiring filmmaker, it's a total inspiration to watch these action-packed short films on TH-cam. It simply reveals that my contemporaries continually prove that they don't need Hollywood to validate their dreams.
also at 3:55 i think its the same room where the main character got killed in their video "official S.T.A.L.K.E.R. short film. so i think this is the same filming location. its pretty sick location to film at.
This video looks awesome. This one isn't blown out at all - Nice and dark, the highlights still have some detail. Man, framing and editing is done super well. It looks like a feature film.
considering im a massive killzone fan, you done a really good job!! i wont be surprised if you get a contract with some small film/tv companies. You should definitely make another one

tactically, scopes are not just for shooting, as that gives away your position. It is sometimes preferable to have the marksman assess the situation instead of having him go rambo and get killed.
***** i know that but the ISA does not use the M16 the UCA does but not the ISA. if you have not studied the lore to the game then the UCA is another military made by humanity see the ISA is not the only military humanity has created there is also the UCA.
take note Helghans lost so much weight in the film... I think these ISA captured these prisoners and starved them about 2 weeks b4 they are posed as enemy in film. :P
The effects are fantastic, and great landscapes. The muzzle flares, gunshot hits, fire are all top notch (like better than Freddiew good) the magic is in the subtlety...little blood, little smoke, little grit. shakey cam without going overboard. Overall good job. Mega-like.
😂😂😂 I always respect it fan movies are always done well. It was shot seven years ago and the effects are great I imagine what they would have done if the film had been shot now in 2021. i'm glad killzone is still alive the community of this game is fantastic
my only complaint with most of these fan made shooters is radio etiquette. you never say "repeat" over the hooks. "repeat" is for artillery telling them to repeat last fire mission. instead of repeat use "say again". other than that this is one of the best fan films i've seen.
this was good. the fact that none of the weapons looked from the game doesn't even matter compared to the awesomeness I just saw. Wish I could make something half this good.
Really well done, however (I cant provide a link sadly) the vest the ISA wear in game is available for sale, you were like 99% there so props for that it was the best ISA build I have seen so far baring that vest. If you guys still use them for anything or if anyone else is interested its called the Ranger Guarder RBA vest, combine that with a belt for the mags like you have already and bam, instant ISA.

guns used in killzone extraction were m4a1 (zach) m249 saw ( troy) spas 12 ( brett) m4 carabine scoped (adams) famas f1 ( helghast) in the game, the guns would have been a m82g for zach, the m224-1a for troy, a ls13 for brett, vc32 for adams and the helghast would have used sta52 and the sta3 for the machine gun post
Sir, you have some talent! In all honesty, this was great! Just some aspects of the short film had to have more work put into them... I don't know if it is the directing or the acting, but there is something wrong going on... Maybe it is just the collaboration! Many times, it depends on the actor's will to do well, or as he is told... Some things need to be much more improved, but others are in great shape! Improving from mistakes you have done will make this get to the cinemas!

actually, the M4 carbine that was used for this video is not the exact model of the weapon used in Killzone. Their rifle is very very similar but has the clip in the stock of the weapon, making it basically an M4 with the bullpup configuration and the Helgax do not use an exact copy of the FAMAS but something very similar
views doesn't necessarily reflect the quality of the video, especially when it's actually cinematography and not silly comedy stuff that Smosh makes. Most quality films are on Vimeo, and not necessarily TH-cam anyways.
It's meant to be a stand-in for the ISA LMG, so it's not "actually" an M249. The ISA LMG in the games lore is supposed to have a fairly manageable amount of recoil for a weapon of it's kind. And you have to factor in that trained military personnel can "run and gun" even with weapons like the M249, even though military doctrine tends to discourage that sort of reckless behavior.

This is good fucking work, I'd watch a full length movie that you directed as long as you don't let the studio mess with it...just get their support and have them let you do your thing. I like the way you did this, it's gritty not pretty, good balance of kinectic movement with the camera, not like Cloverfield where they just gyrated the whole city for an hour and a half.

mhm. sorry, your correct. I mistook Hakha for Sev. They were both pretty much the same. Plus i believe their character models were pretty similar, as well as the voicing. You also have to remember its been years since I've played the first, and like 2 since ive played the second.
I admire you guys for getting that gear dirty. Made the desperation of the situation more believable. I airsoft with pretty expensive stuff and I still whine when I got mud on it :)

Actually if you played the multi player mode in killzone 3 you can select an I.S.A weapon that does look similar to a M16 or AR15 as the engineer.

As you can see there is a decimal, and there are no commas after two digits so it's obviously not 2.5 million.
