      i go for the Megane. Much nicer look (outside and inside), better display and SW, 22kw AC and front wheel drive.

    A wonderful review, Well done.
    I've ordered a top-spec Uk Iconic (with that essential heat pump). It was a straight choice between the Renault and the Tesla Model 3 (forget the id3/MG4......no contest!
    The 'sterile', boring and poorly made Tesla is now looking so dated, and the tech is so 'yesterday'.
    And on the 0-60 time.......the claim of 7.5 seconds, car reviewers have actually clocked it as 6.9 sec (thats Mini Cooper S territory but with that lovely instance torque)......how typically French, downplaying it. Unlike the over-exaggerating Italians 😂 .
    A brilliant touch going to the experts for the tech, Google, constantly updated.......well done Renault!

    I like your tests!! With diagrams of consumption and distance. You are good about comparison on the noise that is measured. There is a little lack of space in the luggage compartment and backseat space as well as navigation. Maybe you've been around this before as it's the first video I've seen from you. I will now follow your channel.

    Hi, great comparison. Still few more differences between the two :
    Interior materials looks full of very cheap plastic in Id3 in comparison to Megane or Cupra or Niro. Id3 is not allowed to drag a trailer while Megane do. Both can bear a 100kg bike rack on the optional hook tough (not the Cupra... Why?). Id3 has a ski hatch but megane don't. Both are missing a frunk and both have an optional double decker to create a flat trunk.
    I took the Megane EV60 Techno in red🤩 for the trailing capabilities and infotainment but would also have preferred it RWD with a frunk, sliding rear seats and ski hatch.😇 Smart#1 (was not yet available for me) do ticks all these plus a panoramic roof but has an unfinished infotainment as most Chinese cars (but probably has the most finished Chinese one though 😁)

    Hello. Thanks for your video and all measures. I think It would be interesting to have the noise at 130 km/h because this speed allows to see really the impact of the noise of the wind added to that of tires.

      Hello! That is a good point. Speed limits in Sweden are low, highest is 120km/h and that's rare to find. 😔

    the etech got its power limited below 60km/h its not the full 220hp to avoid to much wheelspin

    Finally a simple, nice comparison. Please also have a short test of the insides of those cars, face to face (size, position, maybe add a child seat and test how big and wide is the door opening etc.).

    Confused as the ID£ had a pro S badge which would make it the tour with a 77kwh (usable) battery. Also during the video you mentioned that the pro performance was the bigger battery compared to the Pro S, it is actually the other way round! I notice you did not comment on what the indicated ranges were.

      I compared the specs of the Renault with a pro performance since the pro s I drove in the video has a yötoo big battery. 77kwh net vs 58kwh. I'm mentioning the indicated ranges of the pro performance and the e tech after the test drives. Also stated on the fact sheets.

      @@MobilAvenue_ - hi, yes I accept that. But it isn’t available on the UK Iconic model but is, for example, in France.
      Seems a bit strange to be - we either get Black, While, Grey or Silver - the only nod to colour is a very dark blue.
      Don’t really understand why they limit the colour on the top of the range model.

    I drive an EV but I'm completely confused with the miles per kw or kwhours per "something,".. can we talk in laymen terms or explain what it means because I don't have that information on my dashboard.

      Guess you drive a Tesla: 18.5kwh/100km = 185wh/km

    It's hard to believe that a German car would ever be more comfortable than a French one. Still I would pick the Cupra Born over these two.

      The born is the same väcar as the id3 but prefer the interior of the Cupra.

      The Cupra is attractive. I wouldn’t say no to any of them. I can’t afford any of them either 😂
      It’s gonna have to be a Citroën eC3 I think

    Just wondered if you have any views on how the steering felt in each car. By all accounts the Megane E-Tech’s steering is quite highly geared and not to everyone’s taste.

    The 58 kWh version of the ID.3 would feel just as punchy as the Renault

      I saw in another video that the Renault builds the power up from a standing start more slowly because of the front wheel drive so it’s probably just the difference in acceleration at different speeds that’s apparent rather than overall pace
      LOL I had a Fiat 127 forty years ago. It took twenty seconds to sixty. But did fifty in about thirteen or so. It felt nippy enough at lower speeds. I had a Honda Accord auto slow 0-60 but 50-70 it was like a rocket. 🚀 Acceleration tests are not always very revealing; you need a range of them

      I felt it was the other way around. MG4 EV is the best car for the money in this sector, it's way, way cheaper than both of these and matches them for performance & range 👊

      You should see what is official rating and what they did get here and make the same change to Ionic. The weather and road affect a lot to EVs!

    I bought an ID.3 for passenger access, rear seat space, tidier interior and rear wheel drive.
    A car is a tool and not a style accessory.

    No way worth nearly £40k especially year old is about £25k. Not to mention the range anxiety and high insurance costs.. plus if keyless, will be stolen eventually.

    I see two 🍩, designers must go back to the drawingboard and design nice looking aerodynamics cars. Model 3 is selling well not for the range but for the looks, people do not want to buy toy looking cars.

    Du säger att det är det större batteriet i ID3 men i verkligheten är det 58kwh och inte 77kwh (som är det största).
    I sista rutan med speccen står det att ID3 har AC 16 vilket som är fel, ska vara 11

      Nej, 82kwh är det största batteriet på en id.3 (netto 77). Pro S har det stora batteriet. Det är anledningen till att jag tar upp det i klippet, för att inte jämföra 2 för olika bilar. Det går ju inte räckvidds- och prismässigt att jämföra en Pro S med Renault och sitt batteri på 60kwh utan den bör jämföras med just en Pro Performance med 62kWh..
      AC 16 är en typo, 11 är correct. 👍
