UNBOXING unusual aquarium plants & scaping an aquarium for them! (aquascape tutorial)

  • We had a new exciting delivery of random and rare aquarium plants and I was so excited when I saw this list of what was available! There was everything from Anubias, Java ferns, Bucephalandra and a few random ones in between.
With all these plants arriving did you really think I could not set up a tank for them? The aquascape came out really nice and the plants seem to be doing ok at the moment but it's early days.
    Liquids and foods:
    ‪@NTLabsOfficialSite‬
Plant boost, Liquid CO2 boost, Tap water safe and Filter starter
    Aquarium:
    Superfish Scaper Qube 25

    Anubias jungle star
    Anubias barteri var nana (pinto)
    Anubias barteri broad white
    Anubias barteri var nana (golden)
    Bolbitis heteroclita asiatica
    Bucephalandra green broad leaf
    Isoetes vetata varsicula

I can't believe you put pothos on the sorting hat. I love how most of the older/established fishtubers are all burned out, changing their fish rooms into galleries, concentrating on aquascaping... and you just motor along, doing whatever: hoovering the mess you made, untying the cord, running up and down the stairs because you forgot something. You are wonderfully real, thank you for not being all smooth and polished... and premeditated. Gonna love the updates on this tank, beautiful plants. Take care, be well

@@helloaldrian Ryo Wantanabe is moving more in that direction, KGtropicals has had more aquascaping content, Prime Time Aquatics is remaking their fishroom and focusing more on aquascaping with Small Scapes, Tazawa Tanks seems to also be moving in that direction.

      The plants ?
What about everything else that is shiny, new and has pre-filters too !!!! kicking around . . I would end up with a negative paycheck on more than a few weeks but it would be a great benefit and we can assume that the plants are heavily marked down , if not just a complete write off ? MAIDENHEAD AQUATICS is exactly where I would be spending the quid ? Shilling ? Pence ? Thank God for Bank cards , gift cards & my

Well first I see this huge piece of wood and I think 🤔 that's not going to work, but then it does work. It looks GOOD. And then that huge ass stone, and I think 🤔 that's not going to work, but then it does work, and looks GOOD. And then the tray of plants...... I KNEW they would work, and not only do they work, they look PHENOMENAL. What an amazing tank. And i just love that you still keep Endlers. Not many do anymore. Great job, Matt. Great unboxing and video. Keep 'em coming.

“Don’t worry about it too much.” Yup! Great advice. I love the creative process of aquascaping and when it’s not quite exactly what I want I can think about it for a month or six and redo it. I have scapes from a super simple betta tank to a crazy complicated 4 foot river scape.

Low light will often cause the loss of variegation. From my understanding...., variegated areas have less chlorophyll so the existing green areas will do all the photosynthesis. The plant will sacrifice variegation for more green to survive in low light.
