  • The MTBOVERLAND crew heads across the border to Alabama to visit Stoney Lonesome OHV park and Oak Mountain state park for some time away Mountain biking, camping and off roading. We spent time on the Jeep Badge of Honor trail 404 and a little of switchback to who’s your daddy. It was a great time with good friends. Bryan in his Toyota 4Runner Trail edition was able to test out his new RCI sliders and Skid Plates. Nate in the Toyota FJ Cruiser was able to test out his new ISI advanced bicycle carrying system. It was impressive to watch both of them behind the wheel. Bryan in the Jeep Wrangler JK was a great spotter and good trail guide as he lead us through many different challenges. I was in the Cohutta Jeep and definitely got to test my new Yukon 4.88 gears and arb USA air lockers front and rear. The Artec trusses kept everything strong and the Jeep was amazing out there. We then moved on to camping at Oak Mountain State Park. I tried my hand at cooking smoked sausage, beans and rice with some cornbread. I guess it was good because I didn’t have to feed any raccoons with the left overs. The next morning we woke to pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage before heading up the mountain on 2 wheels. It was a great ride on Boulder ridge. Bryan and Ryan are crazy for some of the stuff they rode. Even Nate got in on the act sometimes. Well I hope you enjoy the video, like and subscribe and I’ll see you on the trail.

Stoney Lonesome is huge. No way to see it all in a day. We'll be going back.

Cool video and I bet that was one hell of a trip! Is the hole at 7:00 still on Trail 404? I see the FJ was having trouble keeping their speed down - you think they were running in 4hi all day? And the 4runner was running on Milestars w/o a spare? Ballsy.

Not sure if the hole is still there, with erosion those trails are constantly changing. I do believe the FJ owner tends to ride in 2 hi until he thinks 4 lo is necessary. And the 4Runner had the spare in the back. He has a spare tire carrier now. Thanks for watching
