  • This film is a project I’ve been working on since March. First and foremost this ride was a fundraiser for ‪@Mission22‬ , we raised $2400 for veterans in need of healing. If you would like to donate to Mission 22 here is the link to donate. give.mission22.com/campaign/t... My buddy Clint Fowler planted the seed in my head to do the TNGA with as little as possible. Just enough to get through a day and figure out the next. The #tnga moves through the beautiful mountains of the #chattahoocheenationalforest and the #cohuttawilderness as well as many other wilderness areas like #richmountain and #cooperscreek. The route is 365 miles long with 41,500 feet of elevation gain. It was first mapped out by David Muse and the the Grand Depart is usually the 3rd weekend in August. I carried 3 GoPros on me. A ‪@telesin‬ chest mount, selfie stick and bar clamp mount. The ‪@GoPro‬ ‘s that were used was a Hero 7 Black, Hero 7 Silver and a Hero 5 Black. I used @limifusion software to edit on my @apple iPad. But back to the Journey. This film is a POV of my journey along the Trans North Georgia Adventure. It’s a raw look at this amazingly beautiful and equally amazingly difficult and diverse course. I rode my #bikesdirect #motobecane #halboost 275 Plus bike. The highlights of my bike is the ‪@box‬ #boxprime9 box2 drivetrain. The ‪@PNWComponents‬ grips, pedals and dropper post. The ‪@MaxxisTiresUSA‬ were 27.5 x 2.8 plus Rekons. The only bags on the bike were ‪@revelate-designs‬ feed bags. I used a SOL escape lite bivy. The shoes of choice were ‪@fiveten‬ Trailcross and ‪@crocsinc‬ Yup I trained to ride in crocs on all sections with water crossings. All my gear performed perfectly. Absolutely zero complaints. Don’t let me forget the ‪@handupgloves6777‬ that protected my hands. The lighting was ‪@FenixLightingUSA‬ on the bars and a ‪@BlackDiamondEquipmentLtd‬ headlamp zip tied to my helmet. I like those lights because I can just carry extra batteries instead of worrying about Charging them up. I used a Terry gel saddle and it did great. Remember this is a #ultraendurance #mountainbiking ride. It’s definitely a mountain bike course, not a gravel bike ride. Oh yeah I was wearing a @adidas Mission 22 shirt and a ‪@smithoptics‬ helmet. Yup a roadie helmet is lighter than a mountain bike helmet. I would like to thank ‪@MulberryGap‬ for all the amazing support. Thanks Cooper creek store and Mountain Side market and the people of Cherry Log for all the amazing support. Highlights of the route are the Pinhoti Trail , P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 and Dennis Mill. Thanks to the #pinhotitrail volunteers for and awesome ride. I’m not the biggest fan of #snakecreekgap or what we call P0. cause well they suck. I never needed pickles for cramps, not one cramp the whole ride. I did bonk on P1, mostly due to lack of sleep and probably fell behind on food. I really don’t consider my self a ultra endurance athlete. I’m just a guy who loves mountain biking. I believe that anyone can do this ride if they set their mind to it. In my darkest moment my new buddy Pete said to me “quit tomorrow” #quittomorrow So that’s what I did all the way to the finish on the #silvercomettrail at the #alabama border. Crazy to think that we started on the #southcarolina border and rode or walked across #georgia. This route is very similar to the #georgiatraverse The Georgia traverse is a route traveled by car or jeep. The difference is on the TNGA you get to do all the closed roads and single track. The night riding was epic to say the least. Well thanks for watching this video. I hope you enjoyed it. And again please donate to mission 22 to help #veterans with #ptsd and #tbi and other #mentalhealth issues. Thank you. #bikepacking #ultraendurance #ultraendurancecycling #gravelgrinder #garmin #motobecane #bikesdirect #alabama #georgia #mountainbiking #cohuttawilderness #cycling #vlogging

You are amazing! Great job for a great cause. I'm so glad you finished and met your goal! That ride is impossible for most. The movie was great and showed how hard and strenuous it really is. Great work! ❤❤❤

Oh good. You did not include my embarassing topple-over right about 50 feet before we crossed that creek at 6:52. I inow you caught that on your camera.
It is amazing how a 48 pound bike which seemed not heavy at the start, suddenly weighs 30 pounds more after only 23 miles. I just could not lift my bike... or myself... up off the ground.
I was just behind you a minute before that, so you just missed my over-the-handlebars somersalt when my front wheel hit a giant hidden hole on the rock strewn section at 6:40. Another rider ahead had warned others to walk that section; then when I did not see them, I figured they all rode it anyway... so I hopped on my bike. Twenty seconds later... CRASH!
Overall, not a good start of the day for me -
at all. Looks like this is going to take me multiple attempts.

Hey man with the right training, planning you will be able to get this ride done. And my timing was terrible on that first crash when I was behind you I had just hit the stop button. I caught you mid crash and the footage cuts off. I can send you the footage I have of you if you would like. If you have any questions I’ll be happy to answer. I’m 2 for 5 on this route so I’m pretty knowledgeable in what not to do and fairly knowledgeable in what works at least for me. Thanks for watching and commenting. You can do it.

Lol!!! Just finished the movie 🍿 the funniest most entertaining was a little over halfway through when your partner caught u off guard on the trail "u scared the fuck outta me" after that point all F-ks went out the window and TRUE Mark started filming from there lol the "sea-men" 😂😂🤣😭 that shit was hilarious "sorry for laughing" and the footage sitting alone in the church I thought was pretty Kool. Soaking in a little indoor time. The whole video was cool 😎🙏 frickin brutal bro. The part where u were thinking about quitting lol I'm sure u related to lots of ppl right there.

Thanks bro. Yeah it’s a brutal ride but so worth it at the finish line. I debated about beeping out the curse words but I think it makes it more real, raw and honest.

Awesome video my friend! It definitely captures what the route is all about. The man up above always delivers the people you need in your life at just the right moment. Thank you for being my battle buddy for the last half of the ride. See you 2024!
