Hi there, everyone has their own preferences but personally I like the Stone Glacier XCurve frame and the Sky 5900 is an awesome middle of the road pack. It's big enough it can handle 3-5 days backpacking and it collapses well enough that you can day hunt out of it easily. One of the primary reasons I like the the Stone Glacier frame is the load shelf sits a bit higher up off the base of the hip belt which allows me to secure the weight of full game bags or an elk quarter up higher above my hips. That allows me more freedom of movement and it's easier to hike with a really heavy pack. Both are great options and are super durable but in the past I've slightly preferred the SG. Hope that helps!

Ive got 3 seasons under mine now and I love it! Perfect all around bag, especially the bivy mode for just day or overnights.
If you had to choose between the stone glacier 5900 or the mystery ranch Beartooth 80 which one would you pick

Great review, thanks for posting! Does that weight include the top pack? If so, what does the pack weigh without the lid?
which color is this? it looks like foliage but wanted to confirm. thanks!
What color is this pack?
What's it like to look up wearing this pack with a full top pack? Can your head go all/most of the way back?
You can look up. Movement might be a little restricted with a fully loaded pack.
Thanks for the reply! I was seriously leaning toward a SG pack for my next one. I this cold be the one
How many days do you reckon you can get out of it?

Is there any difference in this pack versus the Sky 6400 other than cubic inches? Are all of the buckles, hip belt adjustments the same etc?
