Enjoyed the review. I have found, over the years to “keep it simple”. I simply detest internal compartments in my backpack simple because once your pack is packed it is hard to reach those compartments. It is much easier to pack your pack with those essentials where they are easily accessible. My Metcalf is the simplest pack out there and probably the most durable when it comes to taking the punishment backcountry hunting dishes out. I’ve e had a lot of packs
Thank you for this review. I will likely be drawing for a desert sheep tag this fall and have really been having a tough time deciding which pack to choose. My son and I will be going on this hunt and we both need a pack. I was leaning towards the Kuiu pack. However, after my sons research and this video, I believe this is the pack I (we) will likely go with.
Thank You Trail for all the information Stone Glacier backpack. I'm looking at the Mystery Ranch or the Stone Glacier. Will you or Chris be doing a side by side between these two packs. As always a great video God's Blessings on all your adventures this fall
Passed the message along to Trail. He comes in at 6'2" 195lbs. His guess is that a medium or a large would probably best suit your build (medium goes to about a 36" waist). All of the frame heights are the same at 26" and keep in mind that the torso/shoulder harness is adjustable. Hope this helps and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions!
