One of the best explainer videos from any company out there. You can tell Kurt is incredibly knowledgeable and has done this a time or two. Very helpful.
Best packs and especially frames in the game! Have tried several of the top end packs and settled nicely with a sky 5900 on xcurve frame for myself and a sky 5900 on krux frame for my wife. We love them!
Most of us don't use anything to capture loose straps. They really don't get in the way if you use the pack properly but if you want to keep things tidy then you can use small strips of two sided velcro to keep straps from moving around.
Great video! does the fit need to change to accommodate heavier loads? I'm getting ready for a moose hunt so i'm training with 90-120 pound loads. I can't tell if i need to refit the pack or if the pack weight is such that it just feels different.
What is your recommendation for hip pinch? I have a new sky archer, took it out with 60 lbs it in, and the only “sore” spot I have is the tops of my hip bones. Any advice?
You can adjust the tension of the two one inch webbing straps that are on the waist belt to adjust how it rides. Also make sure that the edge of your pant isn't bunching under the waistbelt as that can create a hot spot. Also we do notice that our hips are more sensitive in general if we haven't been wearing heavy packs in a few months.

I got my pack 6 years ago and used the older videos for reference and this was a real nice up to date refresher! Thanks
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
really appreciate you doing the refreshed video of the pack fitting. I learned a couple things so i'll go back and refit my bag. Thank you!
Great to hear! Let us know if you have questions.
Perfect video. Just got my new pack in last week and was thinking I need to watch a video on proper fitting. Well done, thank you!
Thanks and we hope you enjoy the new pack!
I don’t have a stone glacier pack (another brand) but this is the best video on pack fitment I have seen. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely!

Love to hear it!!
Very helpful, I’m going to double check my fit . Thanks guys
Super easy to follow! Great post.
Thanks you David!
I was literally trying to adjust my new pack today and looked for a video. Appreciate it. 🤙
Awesome!
Kurt Racicot designs outstanding gear!
We agree!
Really good video
Great demonstration guys!
Thanks!
That piece of foam is now “Higher” creating pressure higher, not lower as you explained.😉
great video. What do you folks do to capture loose straps?

You shouldn't need to refit the pack. A moose is just a big, heavy animal!
Thanks, just received my Sky Archer 6400.
