This was so perfect! I had some strawberries that I needed to hurry up and use. That you gave the breakdown ratio of sugar to strawberries is much appreciated!!!! Thank you
@@paperdaydreams3517 Cornstarch needs to be dissolved first in cold water, then add to the recipe. You’re asking for trouble if you don’t dissolve it first. It just takes a little water to dissolve into a slightly thick consistency.
I just discovered your channel week ago and made the rainbow cake from another channel because u dont have it and made your buttercream recipe. First time i could say that i made the one that i really like because maybe it uses 2 cups of butter and a salt?and made your brownies today and it was a hit. And i also like the way u vlog. It's like real cooking. Raw and unfiltered. I will try your vanilla cake for my husband's birthday and your peanut buttercream. It''s like i found my newest go-to when it comes to baking. Keep it up and u are underrated. Hoping to more subs. U deserve it
I appreciate you and your informational videos Amy !! It would be really helpful to have the quantities in writing, Im just not good with the eyeballing thing. 😕
1 cup strawberries 2-3 tablespoons of sugar squeeze of lemon heat on medium or medium high, stirring often as soon as it starts to bubble reduce heat to low, heat for 5-7 minutes until it starts to thicken tablespoon of cornstarch tablespoon of water mix slurry into strawberries to thicken chill in fridge
@@alma1015 No prob! This revised recipe came up at the SAME TIME as I was going to make her older version so I needed to type it out for myself to make the new one!
I made it and when I put the cornstarch and water in it. The cornstarch was in chunks, it mix it but for me and tastes good but the chunks just messes it up. I won’t do this again. Maybe I would use a liquid cornstarch syrup.
Hey Thanks for sharing this video. It's definitely delicious and I'll try to make it when I've bought the ingredients. Can I use flour instead of cornstarch? Looking forward to hearing you soon Bernadeth
Regular wheat flour takes too long to lose its raw taste, even after it's started to thicken. By the time it tastes better, your strawberries, or any other fruit, will have lost its amazing flavor and the flour will have overpowered even the light texture of your filling. Just no. No flour for thickening fruit filings! Try arrowroot if you don't want, or can't, use corn starch.
Earlier today I was quickly googling how to make this for some muffins I wanted to bake and the instructions did not include that tsp of water to dissolve the cornstarch. My jam was ruined! 😢 I wish I had watched your channel instead!! I will try again tomorrow 😊
@@CrazzyDeya Why substitute on a dessert? It won't taste the best with potato or another type of starch. I see you commented 2 months ago. Did you really wait that long for an answer or have you made the dish yet?
Love how you show everything instead of jumping to the next step. Definitely helps knowing how it looks before the next step 😊

Made this today to put over my husband's birthday cheesecake and it was amazing! Thank you for sharing this! I'll definitely use it again 💚💚
Always use cold water for a cornstarch slurry guys. Cooking 101.
Any particular reason? I'm somewhat new to baking and haven't used corn starch in any home cooking or baking
It can get clumpy and not mix. I have super fine cornstarch (Bob's mills) and I can mix it into cold and warm I noticed.
That is correct.. cold, not hot or lukewarm warm.

Ahhhh first❤❤ I love your channel, I've learned so much!!!
The channel name kills me 😂 subbed without even seeing the video ❤
You can use fruit pectin as a substitute for the corn starch as a thickening agent
I admire you sooooo much! You’re amazing!
Looks food! I need to find a filling I can use on a wedding cake. Would this work on top of icing in-between layers of almond cake?
Terrific and so easy....
Awesome. Thanks for sharing

What If We Don’t Have Corn starch?
Get some
@@David..832 hey if we don’t have corn starch, is there like a substitution for it

@@David..832 Yes I Made It The Following Day After I Went To Buy All The Ingredients Needed
@@CrazzyDeya So you don't need a substitute after all
But you didn’t add the cornstarch
She mixed the cornstarch with water in the pink measuring cup and poured it in.
That glass measuring cup is a standard 2cup measure 🤐
Love the real shit 💯
I just added cornstarch and it tastes like medicine
Cornstarch doesn’t really have a taste just might not be for you or the strawberries were bad.
Never refreeze food.....
She still had her ring on and squeezed that lemon ewwww
It’s gonna be okay. Any horrible germs from my disgusting rings will be cooked out. 🙄
