Hi Liz! You are my baking idle! I strive to reach your level of perfection one day LOL! Would you pleaseeee make a espresso flavored cake? or maybe explain how we can turn your cloudy vanilla cake into an espresso cake without throwing off the batter's acidity by a whole lot.
Thank you for all the hard work that you put into your amazing videos :)

I made your fabulous strawberry cake and used the strawberry reduction. Absolutely delicious!!!!
My icing did not separate; and the flavor was a deep and intense strawberry. So good!
This recipe is a keeper. Thank you for sharing!!!!

Instead of using lemon extract can we replace it by using lemon juice and the lemon zest? thank you!! (:

Is this same as strawberry compote? If yes then won't the cake layer slide away with this kind of liquid thing?

I just watched this and the strawberry cake recipe. Now I want to make a strawberry cake! lol Louisiana has good local strawberries, and I froze a bunch when they were in season. I'm totally going to use it to make a strawberry reduction now :)

The written recipe calls for lemon juice, the video mentions lemon extract but no measurements. Could you please clarify which one to follow? The written recipe also ads the lemony ingredients and salt towards the end of the reduction process, but here everything is added at the same time.
    Thank you 😊!

I am currently making this exact thing! I don't have the lemon zest or lemon extract in it though. Does it make a huge difference in the taste or how it will store and be used? I love SGS and so does my family, they love when i test out your recipes and they get to try them!

So I used a blender the puree the strawberries but it turned out very pale red in color, like pink. It’s also a little smoothie-consistency. Any thoughts on how to fix?
