Nice video! I have been a Bon Jovi fan since Runaway. Even though the video was terrible that song really hit me! My favorites would be the first 3 and Have A Nice Day. There are enough songs on all the rest for me to have all the Cd's, although I couldn't listen to These Days all the way through the first time, it was too darn depressing. Some of the later albums weren't my favorite definitely, but the thing was they were always great live no matter what the album was. I was 5th row for HAND and they rocked, and it was so loud. And they did the rock version of Who Says You Can't Go Home, love it, very fun live. I even like some songs on Burning Bridges, 5 to be exact. And I did like their last album. Sadly though seeing their live performances it's tough to listen to Jon try to sing live now. The only one I never bought was This Left Feels Right. I did buy the DVD used, but I'm with you, they ruined the songs. And the worst part was when they did Bed of Roses and I'll Be There For You at my HAND concert, it was those terrible versions!! I was trying my best to sing them the right way!! But I've seen them many times, including the These Days tour and that one still rocked. Crush, Bounce, The Hits tour, they all rocked and they were all Bon Jovi. I don't have much expectations for the one coming out in May, but it's bon Jovi so I'll still buy it day 1! Oh, I also found one by accident at Wal Mart one day called The Many Faces of Bon Jovi. It has Powerstation, a disc of early Richie Sambora, and a disc of covers which are horrible!
Just watched this video....The last great or good Bon Jovi album was These Days in 1995. It has been lately dribble for the last 25 years. There might be a good song here and there, but largely it’s been pure slop since then. I listened to the last 2 albums on Tidal. Good god. Dry, lifeless “Muzak”. As much soul as a cardboard box. Sad how the mighty have fallen. Were one of my favourites from 1983-1995. And Alec John Such played on all the tours, but I don’t believe he played a note on an album. Hugh was believed to look too old to be presented as a member of the band. But he played bass on all of the albums. Enjoy the channel by the way 👍
The Slippery Deluxe version is basically just the album with 5.1 audio and 5 videos on DVD. I’d like to get that Keep The Faith Deluxe version. New Jersey is my favourite too but KTF is the one I am most nostalgic for (because of the tour we saw).
Slippery When Wet, New Jersey, and Keep the Faith are my favorites. All on cassette, then eventually CD. Lucky enough to see them on Slippery tour, with Keel opening. $20 ticket and one of the best concerts ever. There was just something electric about the show and atmosphere. People were going absolutely bananas! The height of 80's metal. If I only had a time machine... Saw them a few years later on Keep the Faith tour with Extreme. After Richie Sambora left though, just not the same. Something is missing. I can't get into the last several albums.
Cannot argue at all Tim. New Jersey is my favourite album, front to back is awesome, then Slippery and Keep The Faith. I know it is not a 'Bon Jovi' album, but Young Guns II is one of my ALL TIME favourite albums. Incredible album. Santa Fe is timeless. New Jersey Super Deluxe CD/DVD is outstanding, I wish they would do something with Slippery and Keep The Faith in same Super Deluxe form. They are still making the odd good song and lyrically Jon is still writing fine, but the energy is gone from the MUSIC, completely gone. Saw them in 2010 (a really great concert), then in 2013 and 2018. Again both were good concerts, but not up to 2010 standard. 1989 concert was incredible, so to 1992 and 1995. Bon Jovi's anthems are long gone. Jon needs to get back in touch with Desmond Child and bring in another PRODUCER (maybe Bob Rock) to bring some life back to the music. They never came to my home city back in 1987 for the Slippery Tour. Their worst album is What About Now. I own it, I played it, I put it in a box. I also do not own This Left Feels Right. Do not care for it. The 100,000,000 box set is excellent. Phil X is great, but he is not being utilized. Personal opinions. Thanks Tim. Cheers.
I agree with your opening comments, Tim. I’ve hated everything this band has done since Lost Highway. I don’t own Burning Bridges, although I may break down and get it on CD. I don’t expect it is good. I already hate THINFS, What About Now and The Circle. I know there’s a new one coming. I’m already cringing.
Same here. Slippery changed my life. I just heard their new single and well, I am not fond. Even before Richie left, their sound had drastically changed. FWIW, I'll take 7800 Fahrenheit over anything new. This band is such a headscratcher to me.
John Zellner To me it really shows how important Richie Sambora was to the songwriting. Make no mistake, JBJ is the boss, so the direction of the band is ultimately on him.
Always great to watch your videos. Keep them coming.

I saw them and Dokken together in Atlanta. Man, it was electric.
