    From my collection, I would have presented Bob Dylan's "Biograph" box-set from 1985 - the first retrospective box-set of a pop artist that I was ever aware of. It must have been one of the first box-sets to appear in the CD era. A full 18 of the 50-odd tracks were unreleased and there were some real gems in the bunch: "You're a Big Girl Now" and "Abandoned Love" were two album cast-offs that could have been the career highlights for a lesser band. This release created a bit of a controversy for Rolling Stone magazine when they reviewed it along side a bootleg box-set that appeared around the same time - and they gave higher praise to the bootleg! Columbia Records responded by pulling all of their ads from the magazine for several months. Today, if you read the original review at rollingstone.com, all mention of the bootleg has been scrubbed. I guess they learned their lesson.

    Scratching my head after watching this video...called Vinyl Confessions....YET.....everything displayed was a CD 🤔🤔🤔 Also most box sets highlighted were for the most part empty because the CDs were at home on my shelf??? At least what you both had to show was pretty sweet...and a few I was not aware of ever being released 👍

      Hi Dan, thanks for watching. The show started out with me simply showing off my vinyl but it expanded, and the name stuck.

    Nice video. I never see that edition of the ALICE COOPER BOX SET. I have just a book type of box, with a hard cover, and with the cd´s in the book, not in plastic cases. Super stuff you guys showed like the KISS box set for exemple.

    Ok this suggestion is not a true box set but I recently picked up "Hell's Radio" AC/DC. It contains all the radio broadcast's from the Bon Scott era. Many of the same songs on each disc. However the quality is great and Bon's banter with the crowd is priceless. 6 disc set and I paid $15.00. Well worth it.

      Yes, these live performances appeared in several "unofficial" box-sets. I have an 8-disc expanded version called "Problem Child". I've only had it for a few weeks, but the stand-out disc appears to be from the Hammersmith Odeon on November 2nd 1979. Sure, there's lots of song repetition across the 8 CDs, but that's OK - it's not like I'm going to listen to more than 1 or 2 of the discs at a time. I agree, the sound quality is quite good and the banter excellent. I think I paid somewhere around $45 on Amazon.

    In regards to the Bad Co Anthology coming out on Elektra, the 2003 Yes reissues were on Elektra/Rhino. Slippery When Wet should be reissued with Edge Of A Broken Heart as a bonus track. Also, doesn't the Time box set have demos with Robert Fleischman singing? Btw, I had to part with a lot of my cds. So, I have the Box Of Fire in my Amazon shopping cart. I have a bunch of Sony complete collection boxes by Judas Priest, Blue Oyster Cult, and Cheap Trick. I also have Bruce Springsteen's The Album Collection Vol 1 1973-1984 cd box. I also have two Black Sabbath box sets: one of the Ozzy years called The Black Box, and one for the Dio years called The Rules Of Hell. I also Yes' Studio Albums 1969-1987 cd box.

      laudanum669 great idea for a future episode! :p
      (And if Winger put out a boxset I’d be first in line to get it.)

      Yes! A sense of humor. Thanks for the reply. I hate it when someone likes a band then makes a disclaimer when they get ripped on for it. All my friends hate Queensryche and Cheap Trick but they know I can't be swayed. Rock on guys, even if it's to Winger:}
