    I am a motor mechanic of 40 years and about 8 years ago I developed what the skin specialists call A Topic contact dermatitis. It was so extreme that it would not respond to their prescribed creams and treatments. They decided that they would put me on Prednisolone (one of the medications for treating cancer in chemotherapy) after prolonged use(six years) they specialists told me they were removing me from Prednisolone as it has damaged my liver irreversibly. My dermatitis became much worse and I developed Psoriatic Arthritis as well. After feeling abandoned by western medicine I decided to try the Holistic approach. I too juiced celery daily and took Fish oil tablets and a product called Quercetin LipoMicel an anti inflammitory and after 8 weeks my conditioned was cured. I continue to drink celery juice daily. It is now nearly two years on and my condition has not returned.

      The Omega J800HDS juicer has a special attachment designed for juicing celery. It’s endorsed by Anthony William and I’ve heard great things about it. I personally have a Nama Vitality 5800. It was a bit pricey, but a fantastic juicer. I love it.

      This made me happy to read that you cured your skin conditions using this protocol. I too have been to see many dermatologist and there advise was to keep putting hydrocortisone cream on my face dematitis however I haven’t done that but I’m now going to try the celery and Quercetin after reading your success story 😊 I hope it works for everyone who has tried it because any kind of skin disorder impacts your quality of life and can be hard to deal with.

    Another thing that helps a lot and does magic is salt baths. Salt (for a standard-sized tub, 1 to 2 cups) and water. Keep the part of your body that hurts (eczema, ingrown toenail, arthritis pain) in the salt water for at least 12 minutes. Salt baths (Dead sea salts, Epsom salts) have been used for hundreds of years to ease all kinds of aches, pains, and skin troubles. A simple soak in the tub may help you feel better. 🤗 Thank you, Ryan, for sharing and caring!

      I've been drinking lemon water in the morning and celery juice about 30 mins. afterwards for over 4 years now and all my medical conditions have gone away when I was tested by a specialist doctor. It also requires exercise and a healthy meal plan each day but I was willing to change from bad habits to good, healthy eating. Fruit is the best for you since it has lots of nutritional water in it and it will never do harm to you. I'm in my early 70's and off all my medications. Great video. I'm 53 and can do about 3-4 sets of 25 pushups (@ 8-9 pull ups) and will try this trick going forward. Just discovered your channel and have been doing my own workouts at home ever since this 2 yr charade started. Who needs a gym!! Only think I REALLY miss is the sauna.
    I would highly recommend doing a kidney and colon cleanse FIRST. The liver will push toxins out into both of those organs and if they aren't able to handle it, then your body pushes things out through the skin. Fasting can also help all those cleanses as well. I would do a 1 or 2 day water fast after each cleanse. I've done intermittent fasting my entire life, but a few years ago started doing water fasts as well, mostly 2 days once or twice a year. I've also done a 2 day dry fast. This year I did a 4 day water fast and man did that change things for the better. I wouldn't recommend doing that or any fasting until you build up to it. Start with intermittent for a long while and work your way up to dry fasts. I try to get my body into a Keto state for a few weeks before each fast.
    After the holidays I plan on going Keto for a few weeks, doing a colon cleanse and then another 4 day water fast. 2-3 weeks later, a kidney cleanse followed by a 1-2 day dry fast. Then 2-3 weeks later a liver cleanse followed by a 2-3 day water fast. Then I will go back to eating my normal diet. but will introduce a bunch of pro and pre biotics to build my gut back up. Which is mostly organic raw pescatarian, with some dairy (ONLY goat & sheep variety) as well as pasture raised (PR) organic eggs. I don't eat much chicken , but do use PR chicken broth quite a bit with on occasion GFGF beef broth as well. I will have Bison on occasion, but I mostly eat sardines, herring, & salmon with some shrimp and scallop as well. Everybody is different, I have a European heritage from a small island and this is the diet that works for me. Stay away from vegetable oils...cook with avocado, coconut, or olive oil. I prefer olive oil raw and cooking with the other two, as well as GFGF butter.

    Hiya! I’ve recently discovered celery juice as a cure for eczema. I have severe eczema all over my body but specifically my hands and fingers. I have a blender and was wondering if the effects would be the same as a juicer? Thank you for your video!

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Excellent! Glad you’re giving celery a shot. I think blending would have less of an effect because you still have the fiber intact and that could slow it down. Normally that’s a good thing to have the fiber, but when you want the celery to treat eczema, you want just the juice so it goes straight to the liver as quickly as possible. So I’d recommend straining the fiber out. Blend it, pour it all through a strainer, and capture only the juice in your glass. You can discard the fiber, compost it, or add it to soups or stews later if you don’t want to waste it.
      If that’s not possible for any reason, then you want to go ahead and eat celery or drink celery in a smoothie (blended) but always consume it on an empty stomach and allow more time for it to treat the eczema. Rather than a month, I’d give it 2-3 months before you really evaluate whether or not it’s working for you.
      I hope that helps!

      I’ve been there too, man. The gym culture can be toxic. As crazy as it sounds, a temporary raw vegan diet (just raw fruits and vegetables) for a few weeks works absolute wonders. It’s the most healing diet I’ve ever tried. I recommend trying it in the spring/summer when you have the best selection of fresh produce. I’m confident it will help you a lot. Or, for more guidance, you can get the book Liver Rescue and do the 3:6:9 cleanse in it. It’s basically a 9 day raw vegan cleanse and it’s fantastic.

      Everyone is different.My eczema popped up while I was fasting.Didn't think too much about it and continued with even stricter diet with green juicing, salads and some roasted vegetables,no animal products, no grains,nor nuts and just green apples as fruits. The eczema turned dark on me and started spreading all over,including my face.I decided to continue with fasting until Easter ,then add animal products back,like wild caught salmon and organic grass fed beef and lamb.I have always been a meat eater,and never a carb/sweets lover (I actually hate them).
      Btw, my liver and kidney enzymes are wonderful.My cholesterol is amazing, especially hdl 78 and ldl is 74,and triglycerides 37.So,with such numbers I wonder what the heck is going on.

      Taking out the fiber with a juicer is the way to go and the recommendation by Anthony William because without the fiber the juice passes through your digestive tract and gets to the liver quickly, so it’s more effective. If you don’t have a juicer, you can blend up the celery really well in your blender and then squeeze it all through a cheese cloth, nut milk bag or any kind of sieve like that. It’ll separate out the pulp and leave you with only the juice to drink.

      I think any consumption of celery would help, but Anthony William says the fresh juice without any fiber/pulp works best because your body absorbs it quickly and it goes straight to the liver, which is the organ needing healing.
      Also, another option is you can blend up the celery in a blender and then run it through a cheese cloth, nut milk bag or other type of mesh filter to strain and squeeze out the fiber. That’s a way to juice with a blender, albeit quite time consuming. Hope that helps!

      @MinusTheGym  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The juice won’t trigger a significant insulin spike so you don’t have to worry about it breaking your fast. If you’re still worried about it, you could juice the celery right before you break your fast instead of first thing in the morning. Either way is fine, as long as it’s the first thing to go into your digestive system for the day (besides water).

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I’ve heard it works for psoriasis as well. If you filter the fresh celery juice to remove any pulp it’s supposed to work even faster. Just make sure you drink it fresh (right after juicing) and on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. And give it a month or so before you draw any conclusions.

    Hey Ryan! Thanks for your video. I am able to manage my eczema through these protocols, which is great. I was wondering if you are now able to tolerate alcohol? I find that I have a huge flare-up after one drink. Since cutting it out and clearing my skin I am even more reactive to those trigger foods.

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Maddison! Glad to hear the protocol worked for you :) Sorry to hear you have a flare up from just one drink. I haven’t had any alcohol since 2019 so unfortunately I have no idea how my body would react skin-wise. I quit not for skin reasons, but because I had a pretty unhealthy relationship with alcohol. My guess is that I’d probably flare up too from one drink. I keep my diet as plant based as possible, completely avoid alcohol and limit my caffeine. That seems to work best for me. I hope you can find a balance that doesn’t cause a flare up!

    Question: isn’t better to also eat the fibre of the celery?

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      By removing the fiber and consuming only the juice, the nutrients reach your liver faster and are absorbed easier. I’m sure you could get results from eating a bunch of celery every day, but I imagine it would take a lot longer than the juicing method.

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I didn’t add anything to the celery juice or modify it in any way to make it taste better. I viewed it as medicine, not necessarily a beverage to enjoy. But after a week or so, my tastebuds adjusted to it and I don’t mind it at all. It’s not my favorite, but it’s not bad anymore.

      @@Aurora-m6b anything you add to it affects the effectiveness of celery juice. So recommended that you don't, especially a sweetener. If anything a little lemon juice and I've added a bit of 'Real' salt in beginning but I find some celery taste worse than others and have even thrown some out bc it tasted so bad. I've adopted to being able to drink good celery by its self.

    Is it a good idea to juice a lot in one day and then save it in the fridge? How many days would it stay good?

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can do that if it works better for your schedule, but make sure you seal and store the juice properly. You don’t want the juice to oxidize too much and the enzymes to deactivate. So you want to fill mason jars to the brim, leaving as little room for air as possible, and then seal tightly with the lid to keep it airtight. If you’re using a centrifugal juicer (fast spinning circular blades) only store the juice for up to 24 hours. This is because the speed of the blades in centrifugal juicers introduce oxygen during the juicing process. But if you have a masticating juicer (slow-turning auger) then you can store the juice up to 72 hours because there’s way less oxidation during the juicing process.
      If you’re in the market for a nice juicer, I use the Nama Vitality 5800 and highly recommend it. It’s a slow masticating system and can also be used for nut milk and frozen fruit desserts.
      I hope that helps!

    What juicer are you using?

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I currently have the Nama Vitality 5800. It’s a very solid juicer and is slow masticating so you get a great yield and low oxidation. It was definitely an upgrade from my Breville. However, if I was in the market for a juicer now, I’d probably get the Nama J2 model. For one thing, it comes in white which would match my kitchen much better (😆), but it also utilizes gravity so you can just dump everything in, turn it on and walk away while it juices. I’m actually considering buying the J2 anyway even though my other Nama is still going strong.
