Early in my sportswriting career, around 1990, I had to cover a luncheon at Dodger Stadium. Anyone who knows L.A. knows that it can get confusing around Dodger Stadium especially in traffic. I got turned around and started to lose my shit, then lost it lol ... and then this song came on the radio and it calmed me down, relaxed me, and I found my bearings and made it to the luncheon on time. This is one of the most gorgeous songs of my lifetime.

You are correct and it on the nail concerning the serious drama in her life, as well as speaking voice and singing voice... It is mind blowing, and it's possible she is singing from that deep place of pain... I seriously think you should watch the documentary, because I think it will open up a certain understanding, not only about tragedies in her personal life, but also reveal some insight about certain people and situations in the musical game.....
Used to love her back in my middle and high school days. She had some great songs. This song used to be played on the radio lot. and so was "Nicety" and "No More Lies" all were incredible.

I get it Jay Rah! When I first heard her on a BET interview her voice sounded totally different to me at first. However their is an up tempo track she recorded, Entitled: Nicety you kind of hear snippets of her actually voice on that one. Please Check that one out too. Michel’le go hard bro, she never got the credit she deserved.She was originally signed to ruthless records which was Easy E label,that’s when she recorded this song, Easy E and Dre was actually in the video wit the suits on.This was during the NWA era.After Easy and Dre fell out, Dre went to death row and took Michel’le with him since that was his girl at the time.Suge knight never released more music on her except a song called let’s play house with Rapper Kurupt.I take that back she may have sung on a couple of 2pacs tracks as well but that’s it,it was a song called run the streets,2pac feat Michel’le.
Def check out, No More Lies, showcases her Voice beautifully. Her voice has been a thing of Wonder. Im of a certain age so I'm well familiar with her. She met Dre during the NWA days and then into the Death Row days as she found solice in Suge Knight(clearly Didn't work out well either) after her split with Dre.
She did a reality show a few years ago called , R&B Divas L.A. that followed the lives of Herself, Chanté Moore, Lil Mo, Dawn Lewis(En Vogue) , Kelly Price, Ivette Ortiz, Chrisette Michelle, Layla Hathaway and a few others.

Michel'le started with The World Class Wrecking Crew, which was a group that included Dr. Dre before he created his fake gangsta persona...The song was called Before You Turn Off The light. She had an abusive relationship with Dr. Dre. Was Something in my heart was directed to Dre. You do know Dre is a woman beater. Her voice is great but her talking voice is like mini mouse ( a child) to were it sounds fake.
Today, she do same festival shows but drugs and alcohol and beatings by Dre. The sister last show here so could not remember the words, voice was bad, and it was heartbreaking
