Solo travel is way much better than any other travel because of freedom, as for money I use 2 wallets, 1- the broke wallet I keep low money for a day and recharge, 2- the second wallet has credit cards etc and never leaves the safebox at the hotel, it's always good and always works, whenever anything happens you can just say ( it's my last day I spent all my money )
Excellent tips. Solo travel when young, yes definitely stay in hostels, I agree. I met many people the world over who have remained my friends for life and this has also meant other of places to stay for free too. As I've got older, I love my guest house room and being able to shut out other travellers! I have also found as I'm now an older female that I'm largely invisible ( it's a thing the world over we over 50s know well) and I rarely get hassled any more. In fact I'm more likely to be offered help, it's honestly liberating. Vive La Wrinkles! I've travelled solo for 35 years. It's forces me to be outgoing, confident and highly organised, none of which comes naturally to me. Biggest tips for women solo travellers: 1. Dress respecting the local culture that you are, after all, there to experience. A tan will come, you don't actually need to flash your tits n vagazzle in the middle of downtown Hanoi or Nairobi. 2. If your gut is telling you it doesn't feel right to go somewhere, trust that instinct, it is usually spot on. I learnt this one the hard way and definitely have had some close calls. 3. Hide money like he suggested, I totally agree with him. Your bra is such a good place to slip money into! Or sew a pocket inside the leg of pants, or inside jacket lining. I've even sewn a pocket onto knickers! .. just remember to take the money out before washing!.. I even know someone who went a step further using a condom and her ..."imagination"! The world is incredible, I hope you get to experience it again soon.
Only hassle or solo travelling…costs can be sometimes high! when catching a taxi or vehicle on my own or booking some kind of experience…it can pinch the pocket.

Me personally I tried a hostel once in Paris but it made me realise I don’t like it and I didn’t feel comfortable. The next best option is Airbnb and if you’re lucky you will be with a interactive and friendly host. The hiding money tip is great.
A big city like that hostel has a different vibe than in a more rural area. Some air bnb are cheap if you book in advance and solo room can be better or worse
I’m travelling solo this year for the first time but Im mostly worried about getting food. Like I know it’s going to feel so weird and awkward for me to be sitting in a restaurant by myself. I plan on getting some street food sometimes so I can sort of find a spot to eat somewhere in the town. But there will be times when I need to eat at the hotel restaurant to save money
My advice for eating alone as a solo traveler: Always bring a book! It feels far less awkward than just scrolling through your phone. Sometimes people will even approach me and ask what I’m reading :)
@@amybourmatnov3739I think it’s about me having fun So I would listen to what ever I want and keep my mind free and feeling these expensive years of my life

This is great. Im planning on going to the usa for 6 months backpacking, around the whole (or as much as i can) of the usa. Its my first time going overseas, and im sure your tips are gonna work out great for me.
Love your videos! Please could you possibly do a video saying the must visit places in Southeast Asia to see and do. Maybe even a hidden gems bit too and what you regret not doing/ seeing.
I’m planning to go in November this year, did you have a plan going out travelling because I feel I just want to wing it but don’t want to go and then not do anything because I didn’t plan correctly
We can, you just need to have courage to go out of your comfort zone... I am going out this april although not straightforward but I need to get somewhere nearby until i can go further, go for it bro
"stay in hostels and sleep in the same room as other people" is one of the stupidest advices to follow if you're a woman. Definitely never do that. Always make sure you have your own room and that the room has a lock.

Doing my first backpack trip in less than 3 months and I'm over 50 😁
Also a knife if you were ever to be held at knife/hun point. You never know what people will do for a fake £15 gold ring.
Same..as a 40+ solo traveller I really need a room of my own to shut the door and close out the world.
