Malaysia is an absolutely class country which is often over looked by many backpackers (probably because it doesn't have the drinking culture which some asian countries have) but you can still find a good party, its ridiculously cheap, its stunning and there's so much to see and do! KL is brilliant and East malaysia (Borneo etc) is also brilliant.
Yess, I visited Kuala Lumpur, unfortunately I didn‘t have the time to visit more of malaysia. But for sure ai will do it the next time. Feel free to watch me recent video about travelling southeast asia. Enjoy🤙🏼🤙🏼
@@andrewj3177 maybe not ridiculously, slight exaggeration but still very cheap vs UK prices! 6 Ringgit for a bowl of Nasi Goreng and a bottle of water in a cafe. You cannot eat out anywhere in the UK for £1 with a drink.
I live in Asia, it's great to hear how the foreigners think of travelling to Asia, how they make the best use of the surviving skill to mingle around the areas.
what a great video! another tip - I also land up saving up on unnecessary expenses like atm fees etc in south east asia - using apps like ATM Fee Saver - it helps find atms abroad with no fees or lower fees than others along with withdrawal limits etc. worth adding to your list of tricks!
Great tips Joel mate. Being from the UK myself, SE Asia is my favourite region for travel. I have been to Malaysia 5 times, Thailand 4 times, Singapore 3 times, Philippines and Indonesia twice each. I am hoping to go to Indonesia again, Malaysia and Thailand one more time, and Vietnam for the very first time. SE Asia has everything to offer with amazing megacities, mountains, waterfalls, stunning tropical beaches, various cultures and religious sites, incredible jungles and fauna, and amazing food. My top 3 favourite cities visited are KL, Bangkok and Singapore, and Jakarta is high on the list too

I'm thinking of flying into Hanoi around November with a folding bike and cycling around into Laos and Thailand for around 3 months or so. Planning on bringing some light camping gear to have the option to camp when I want to save a few bucks and have a little adventure in the countryside.
Never drink opened bottles or poured drinks when travelling. Always ask rather for unopened and sealed cans and new bottles. Better yet, try to avoid alcohol consumption. Ethanol poisoning is a killer.
Thanks for the awesome video Joel :D currently planning a trip to SouthEast Asia and this video really helped! You seem like an awesome traveler, hopefully, we bump paths somewhere
I'm doing this next year and I'm so excited but nervous. I wanna travel the world for a year but the only thing that scares me is money because I don't have a passive income. I am working on it but I can't wait!!
Its a good itinerary. The challenge is that you will be surrounded by fellow tourists 24/7 and will likely get tired of been 'sold too all the time'. Sumatra, Borneo, Suluwesi are good places to go with lots of infrastructure, good prices and you won't feel that your just copying a million and one other people.
It can definitely be cheap if you want to stick to a budget obviously you may miss out on some luxuries! It is a beautiful country and the people are amazing!!
It'll actually only take effect if the food is still in the stomach. Because it's indigestible. For example, if you take one intending to cure a hangover it won't do anything as the alcohol has already been absorbed a long time ago. But I guess it can be really helpful if you start feeling unwell in the next hour or two after you eat.
Oh wow many things which you say so helpful, i can learn many things in this video, really love it and repairing for my next tour to make my video, thank you so much , I will always follow you❤️❤️
