- We are so close to the car being drivable! In this one we tackle the tailgate sticker, Install the windows, Add some more sound deadening then fit the carpets and dash finishing off with fitting the GTI arches.

Pretty sure you need thicker foam insulation under the carpet where the centre console sits. It should just need one self tapping screw to fix it down under the hand brake. Without the thick insulation the carpet will sag and show a gap. Absolutely loving the build Dan!

The windscreen deflectors can definitely be fitted with the glass in. Tuck the edges under the rubber then push towards the centre of the car and slip the outer edge into the rain gutter 👍

Beautiful MK1!! I had a white 84’, Unfortunately had to sell it. But I got me a MK2 and just had it shot Tornado Red, MK1 and MK2 look stunning in Mars red and Tornado red!!!!! Favorite colors hands down!
Those window pillar trims are supposed to be fitted after, if it’s a new screen rubber it will just need some silicone or similar to get them in 👍🏻

for that front splitter you might make some sort of support bracket because they tend to flex backwards when driving...

If you ever need to put 'the sticker' on again, just get some knifeless tape and some black vinyl. I think you could achieve the same result for a fraction of the cost.
Dan, I really love the look of this car! I had a (French spec LHD version) that my older Cousin sold to me back in the early eighties. It was a horrible dark brown colour, but it went like a bat out of hell! Your is just beautiful. Great job buddy! 👍😊

Did my windows also on my own. But used e rope and a suction cup to put pressure on the window. Trim needs tk be done after u put the screen in with some lube.

Hi Stuart, Unfortunately not. I don't really have the time or money to put into the kits and now the car has gone I don't have anything to test them on.

The one thing I personally would like is a how to videos as I'm doing one up and have no idea on what goes where etc I do t have any help and that's what brought me to tour amazing videos. Thank you for doing these videos. Also how did you make this your only income I have 3 jobs plus doing my mk1 (as and when I can) any tips would be greatly appreciated.
