Hey Peter! As a glass artist I use a Ti Scribe Pen to sign my glass, The body of the pen is plastic but the tip is made of Titanium and uses friction to scribe the surface of the glass and leaves a silver colored metal deposit on the glass. I thought it would be a cool video idea to do a drawing with one on some sheet glass for an interesting project! They sell some pretty cheap Ti pens for glass working on Mountain Art glass's website for about 15$ if you're interested! Thanks for another Awesome Video!

When Peter starts name dropping big pen companies, he could have just made up pretend words and I'd have been like, "um hm, yes, Roachring, big company. Pendilliwinks, yes, them, too. Oh, right right right, I also love drawing with Quizzledrips and never leave my apartment without a snozzle nozed Portlus 5000 and extra blunk ink."

Peter, I've been using the Techliner since they did their original kick-starter several years ago and I love it. As a nature writer, it is one of the most balanced and durable pens that I've ever used. I like its consistent ink flow and the fact that it doesn't cause hand fatigue even after writing dozens of pages. This is my every day go to pen out on the trail. It has rolled off my note pad and into camp fires, streams, bounced down rock faces, and been miss placed so many times I can't remember - I rolled it up into my tent once and couldn't find it for several weeks. I've lost count on the number of refills that I've used and honestly I wouldn't trade it for the world.

As an EDC channel, might I suggest you anodize that titanium pen? You can turn that dull grey into a bunch of different colors using 9V batteries, baking soda, and water! My channel has several videos about it, if you’re curious.

I have one of these in copper. Got it 3 or so years ago. I am not the biggest fan of the ink they use (maybe just because most of the refills I've gotten have been duds) but I really enjoy the construction and the effort that went into making it. They can be quite expensive, but I enjoy using it to take notes and used it through most of my college life.

I think it's less about EDC with this pen and more about the tactile feel of titanium and the attributes of lightness and durability that come with it. A titanium watch never feels cold or heavy on the wrist, for example. Oh, and there are titanium fountain pens out there, but they are ridiculously expensive.

Your "oven heat love" reminds me of a childhood memory.
Growing up as a Preacher's Kid, we spent a lot of time in church. We lived in Texas, mostly, and the church was freezing cold in Summer, to appease the men all dressed up in their Sund'y-go-to-meetn' suits.
When we would open the car door to go home, after the sun had been beating down on the vehicles for two, three, or even four hours (we were not the one-hour only type of church-goers), we would bask in oven-hot heat, and the subsequent rapid thawing out of our little half-frozen extremities.
We were happiest when we then rode to a restaurant across town, or on our lengthy and warm drive home; not so much when we drove a mere one block away to the even more frigid grocery store, or the restaurants in the very near vicinity.
It was just...back to the arctic chill, way too soon.

One thing with EDC is that we don’t carry for the fun of it. We carry so we can have a useful tool if we need it. I carry a $100 knife, but not because I like carrying it. I carry it because often I find myself in a position where I need to cut something or if a friend needs me to cut something.

Just like any hobby, there are many facets to EDC. The part you're homing in on with "carrying stuff just because it's cool" falls under the term "pocket jewelry" :D I find the best EDC pen to be the Fisher Space bullet pen, super small and super dependable at the cost of a nice writing experience. But for that, in office day EDCs, I carry around a Kaweco Sport.

EDC guys post photos of little trinkets, I like it. There's a little knife with a clip, like, a Chap Stick or something, perhaps a multi tool/money clip combo. It's all very tidy, and it matches. Often the photos are of other people's stuff, but that's O.K., because it's like magic items, in a hundred years it will be worth big money.
Also, I don't think titanium is really that hard, it's just very rigid and light, I think. I don't have any stuff made of titanium though...

That Jetstream refill is a hybrid ink. Kind of a gooey roller ball ink. It is supposed to be one of the smoothest, oily, slick refill out there. And it is jet-black in color. . . super saturated. Very popular among the ball tipped pen enthusiasts. I am surprised that you didn't get excited about the feel of ink. Unlike the Parker G2 style refill, the Jetstream refill is fairly proprietary, so it fits normally only in plastic Uni Jetstream pen bodies.
As your are professional artist, I would have been interested in the balance of the pen and how it felt in your hand while drawing. Oh well, have you noticed that your brain is starting to function more like the rest of us? I don't think that is a necessarily a good thing.
    Good video as always.

Yes, I apologize for not addressing this more; It felt a little bit too heavy for me and my hand started to feel oddly fatigued at some points, but then I was second-guessing myself, because I think I have heavier pens that didn't bother me as much. Then again those heavier pens are fountain pens, so maybe that's what makes the extra weight tolerable.

Pineider makes a titanium fountain pen available only as part of a 3-pen set called the "Homage to Arman."
The set costs 4-5 thousand dollars...

Hey Peter....I was wanting to buy some of your art on your website, but some of the arts don't have the size listed. I was hoping to choose from a size group based on the space I have available. Just an idea. Thanks for everything you do.

Wait this is a scribe? I'm a welder. Scribes we use for marking and laying out metal to cut or whatever. Think like a pencil to mark wood that your cutting, etc. I wouldve never thought to use a scribe to ink up and write with. I wouldve thought it was way too sharp hahaha
Edit: my impatient ass didnt watch anything passed the start of the video, but I'll leave this up for anyone curious

Interesting to that you’ve really taken to using fountain pens.
