True it gives you more power. It also makes your car run hotter than what it was designed for. If your gonna run your engine differently than you need to tune it to run that way or else something bad can happen
That's true for all forced induction wether it be nitrous or supercharging. The crammed in air that's higher pressure than ATP is gonna be hotter. You're gonna need to tune for all forced induction. This is why forced induction with e85 is such a winning combo because e85 cools the intake charge by A LOT.

Nitrous needs refilled constantly and that drastically increases price and it only last a 1/4 mile, while a blower sticking out of your hood just looks cooler, can last as long as the engine and provide more power and boost at times
You just need the correct air to fuel mixture tuned into your car, along with the right nitrous jets. A standalone fuel system dedicated for the nitrous and proper spark timing on the tune and your gold. It's no different than running boost. You need all of that to run boost as well
@@lucyloo2228 can you get away with it, yes probably for a couple of times. But you really should retard spark timing 2 degrees for every 50 shot is the rule
Yeah but nos is like crack for your engine because it’s harsh on internals and doesn’t run well without it depending on if you have a dry or wet setup. If you tune for max nos power then the second you don’t want to use the nos or can’t afford to fill the bottle then it’s like you don’t even drive a fast car anymore

No that ain't right, optimum AFR N/A will also be the optimum AFR under nitrous. Most people though run just a tiny bit rich under nitrous just to make sure it doesn't lean out. Its more then just plug and play, you have to replace multiple parts or you can blow up your engine. Cars are only made to so go fast, when you beef it up you have to tune it and fix it
It’s only ok if you have a high compression car because the engine is built to be stronger and probably won’t be as likely to just blow up from too much power or torque

Just do not do stupid shit with the nos tank I’ll try to make a list of common things people do that give nos a bad rep: Immediately running a high shot level on a bone stock motor as soon as they get it installed. This is so common it is one of the main reason why people think nos will blow your engine no matter what. Mf’s will try or see someone run a 300 shot of nos on a bone stock civic and after it blows up they’ll put all the blame on the nitrous and not themselves for over boosting.
