False - just got my grail FD, a stock, low-mileage '93 R1 in Vintage Red! You're right though, there is always the temptation toward the 'next thing'. I'm constantly asking myself 'what if?'
Same, I just picked up an FC 90 GTU had been owned by a really good friend for the past decade. Missed a chance to buy it years ago and had the opportunity a couple of months ago and couldn't miss out again.
I mean there is some truth in that, but it's also good to just learn to love what you got. Go experience more with the car you currently have. Go for an awesome road trip with your best friend or so. Soon you'll find that you love the car so much that it's hard to even think about selling it. Buying new exciting cars is cool but imo it's better to strike a balance. You can definitely "experience more" even with your current car.
As a 5-year old kid with a burning hatred for cars and an undying love for all things aviation, my dream car was an Impreza with comically large wings and that iconic “555” livery. That was literally the last time I had any passion for cars until I left college, when I stumbled upon a 1st generation Celica. It was literally love in first sight. As an adult the 1st generation Celica remains my dream car to this day. I know Toyotas are known for their reliability and safe power gains, but goddamnit the Celica and the 2000GT are living proof that they also could produce something gorgeous. Attainable or not, they remain a dream for somebody else. We can all relate to having Toyotas as a workhorse for the family. Here especially in Southeast Asia it’s even a status symbol for the entire household. Thanks for sharing how much a dream car means to a car enthusiast.
I loved those Impreza’s! (Specifically the blobeye) although I absolutely loved cars at that age. It was a good day when my dad turned up with a WRX one day.
@@isaacsrandomvideos667 Funny how the world works sometimes. I’m a massive gearhead now and it’s become second nature for me to stop whatever I’m doing if I hear a Subie rumble lmao While I do put classic cars above anything else, I enjoy looking at the “blob eye” WRX whenever possible because chances are it’s always blue, and would always have massive rear spoilers for styling. It’s one of the very few automotive cosmetic cultures that stood the test of time, still being praised after 20 years later.
I've owned my RX-8 for nearly 6 years. Recently I have fully restored it, that's brand new engine from Hiroshima, gearbox, all engine accessories, all vacuum lines, coolant lines, CSF radiator, BHR coils, all the good stuff. It's my dream car. I daily it more than the actual daily - a 94 C36 AMG. Happiness is defined by how much you think is enough.
RIP an LFA would be amazing. This was such another well done video. Inspired me but also made me feel like I won't be complete once I get a RHD MK3 Supra. Almost shed a tear thinking about memories made in old cars.
the guy flipping so many swithces on and off and asking us why the lights are blinking! its like the playboy wondering why hes in no commited relationship!
Yeah lmao. Like wth. Dude is just compulsive and chronically dissatisfied. He made great points about out growing something, but he never outgrew his cravings ☠️

I think the issue isn’t that you haven’t found your dream car; it’s that your idea of a ‘dream car’ is too idealized. A dream car is still just a car, and like anything we hype up in our minds, reality rarely lives up to those inflated expectations. It sounds like you’re chasing not the car itself, but the idea of a car that will somehow be perfect and solve all your frustrations, which just isn’t realistic. This is true with other things too, like relationships. We often imagine the ‘perfect’ partner who checks every box and exists only in the parts of our life we want them in-while staying out of the parts we don’t. But perfection, in cars or people, just doesn’t exist. It’s a trap we all fall into when we overthink and idealize things
When I was in high school I always wanted a Dodge Challenger. I eventually got one after graduating college. It was amazing for the first year, then when I saw other challenger owners with v8’s, I got dissatisfied with my v6. After the lease was up I upgraded to a v8 with a shaker hood, then next year the demon came out. Couldn’t afford it, but it made me look at my Challenger differently again. But I can relate to what you’re going through, I think it’s human nature 100 percent. Reality is never as sweet as the dream.
That’s the thing: You wanted a Challenger but didn’t have the money for a proper *V8 model* and instead went with the basic V6 version. Lots of people do that mistake unfortunately… Those American 🇺🇸 sports cars - it’s either V8 or nothing!
To be fair, you should have already seen and known about the V8. They have had v8 available since the first year model. You just need to know what you want when you buy them, looks or performance. But if you really want performance, you get a mustang.
I think what you need is an early 80s Toyota Celica Supra. I have one with a NA 7MGE. It's like driving a refined version of the late 70s Datsun 280zx. Hand on heart, it's my dream car. And owning one after searching for 15 years is as good as I always imagined. But nothing rusts where I live. And it took me an year to build it. I don't regret it and I'll never sell it. Cool looks and sounds great. Feels more raw than a GT86.
@@albonfilms Nice. My channel has a video of my Celica Supra. But it wasn't finished then. It's my daily now for the past 2 months. I'm still editing a video to post eventually. Planning to pay a homage to the 1st Celica XX Japan ad featuring the song 'Twilight' by ELO. I had a Cressida with a 5M carbureted engine which is common in the middle east. Bought that to scratch the Celica Supra itch. The 5M is a slow motor. The NA 7MGE BELONGS in the mk2 Supra.
I've always wanted an NSX-R between 1992-1995. The car is performance and stability combined with engineering technology and some other specialties that really speaks to me. The car is, in itself, a car designed to destroy. However, if I lose interest in it, I will keep it anyways. Not because it's rare or expensive, but because it has story. Soichiro Honda and a few other whack heads wanted to build a race car, and with the years of learning, determination and love, they assembled a race car. The NSX Type-R is the good ending to a story, not just a race car.
Congrats dude. Treat her well. I hear she's a fair lady. Don't forget to take her out for a bit of fun every now and then. She deserves it and so do you.
Your story, reminds me so much of how I got into cars. It stems from the reliability of a facelift 8th Gen Corolla that my family had and the adrenaline rush that I would get when my dad would do rolling burnouts in his Ram 2500, that and playing NFS Underground as a kid. I’ve always been around cars. Whether it was a Datsun 510, Chevy Nova, SVT Cobra, SRT4 or MR2. So when it came time to search for a car, I wanted something fun. AE86 or 240sx ofcourse two cars that get beaten to a pulp. So I kept looking and came across my current passion the Lexus SC300. It ticked all the boxes for me. Toyota, RWD, and a Straight Six. The fact that the A80 Supra was based on the SC/Soarer Z30 and parts where interchangeable was just icing on the cake. I will say after owning an SC and finally getting to seat and experience an A80 Supra, it definitely was a never meet your heroes type of thing for me. It’s like I finally understood why the A80 sold as poorly as it did, here in the US. Now don’t get me wrong I still like the A80 but it changed my view between both cars. It made me appreciate my SC more. You will inevitably be back behind the wheel of the A80/Z30 chassis, there’s just something about it that draws people back in after selling it. You’re brother is a prime example with buying and selling his Supra’s. Next time consider getting an SC/Soarer you might like the change of pace and the familiarity that comes pretty much the same chassis as the A80 with some slight differences. As for favorite cars, I still want to own a AE86 at some point and maybe a LC500. I can’t wait for the Celica Fastback content as I love those old Celica’s.
For me its MR2s, dads built quite a few, even after I crashed my first one sadly I still have that love for the platform, don't think I'll ever stop loving it, I love other cars don't get me wrong but I think I'll be a MR2 nut for rest of my life. Love your videos man keep up the amazing content.
Feel sorry for you brother, I regret every sale, the constant grind to perfect my cars makes me fall in love more and more everyday and has been that way for over 8 years now, I still have my first car and rally it
Your lust for the Celica liftback reminds me of my lust for the E30. In highschool it was all E30, E36, and E46 M3’s, and I’m finally at that point where I have an E30 and an E46 M in the garage. They aren’t perfect or as modified as I want them to be, but they’re there and both special to me. I count those two as my attainable dream cars, though as mentioned, there’s always room for more.
Since I was 10 or 11, I wanted a Civic Si. When I was 27, I bought my dream car. A 2007 Honda Civic Si. I'm knocking on 35 now, and I'm still madly in love. I couldn't possibly put that love into words. As a daily driver, I can't help but love every moment I get to spend behind the wheel. It's mostly stock, no turbo or S/C, just a bit of OEM+ sprinkled around the car. I don't doubt many fall in and out of love with their cars, but I think some of us have found true love and no matter which situation applies to you personally, it sure is a beautiful thing that these bits of metal can inspire such wonderful romance. Loved the video! First timer to the channel, and I'll def be back.
I always wanted a miata but i always chose more practical or luxurious options because i wanted something to daily drive and i wanted to feel the luxury of driving a nice car. Well, I wasn't happy with any of them. I finally picked up an NB2 Miata and I've never been happier in my life. I've made countless lifetime memories with it. From learning how to drift, hitting up the touge, becoming part of the miata culture which is so lively and everyone's so happy and nice to each other, to going on roadtrips to pick up parts for it, every single second owning this thing is a blast. Working on it is so easy, it's the most reliable car i've ever had, and it's the most fun car i've ever had. This is truly my dream car.
Top ten maybe. Top 3? No. McLaren F1 And a couple of other vehicles in the top 3. Supra mK4 A80? No. Especially when the MK4 A80 had sold poorly in the 1990s
@@team3gaming749 A80 Supra MK4 was criticized when it first released to the public. For looking too different compared to the MK3 A70 Supra......it was criticized for lookin' like a "low budget Front engines Ferrari". THAT, and along with the fact that it had LOW SALES. Which is the point of Toyota canceling it off in 1998(Toyota had desperately marked them down in the mid late 1990s to get them off the dealership lots due to low sales). I like the A80 Supra however let's BE REAL . P.S. The 2JZ was FIRST put in the Toyota Aristo/Lexus GS four door sedan.
all those money they have and this guy didnt buy a single fucking porsche nor m3/m4. just makes me mad. also, that's why he hasn't found his dream car, he never tried porsche! 🤣🤣
1UZ swap, JDM smiley bumpers, floor mount some seats so you don't look/feel like Donkey Kong in a go-kart, and you'll have something almost as cool as Connie Celica ;)
I got a 96 Celica GT4 a little over a year ago and it’s still living up to my hopes and dreams. Even if the emotions fade in a couple years I’ll always cherish the ones that have brought so much joy
0:44 yesterday I turned 14 and yes I'm obsessed with JDM cars too but unfortunately my society doesn't really get into cars that much, but I'm trying to connect to local auto figures.
Oh man I feel you, I'm the same aye I'm crazy into cars but everyone else around me either isn't or isn't too much into cars. Except for my one mate lol
I think a MR2 would be a good choice if you ever decide to get something different, in my opinion its been one of the most fun experiences driving i've had recently. Personally I think its one of the best japanese sports cars in terms of driving experience and overall fun.
early in my driving i picked up an 04 impreza, and it was a blast in the winter. got a 2018 brz because 2018 leases were dirt cheap and drove it across canada, but now i have the gr86 in neptune, and its everything i liked about my old blue brz with the gripes i had all fixed.
I'm fortunate to daily my dream car coming up on 8yrs ❤ An e46 M3 coupe/manual trans. No mods as God intended, just light weight wheels for less rotational mass
The first time I saw this video title, I was upset that you mocked me if I couldn't afford my dream car. After reading the comments for a bit and watching the video, your story made me want to pursue it even more lol. Anyway, here's my story. TLDR: I Watched an MCM video that made me fall in love with Cressida. As a young boy, I was never attached to or fond of the car scene.Even when my dad bought his first car, i just couldn't feel it. Yeah, it's a car and it sits in our garage. Fast forward to 2 years ago, i stumbled upon Initial D. My friends and others said it's good, and i watched it. And oh boy, it was freaking good. It introduces me to great JDM cars like AE86, the Silvia's, RX7 especially the FC, the EVO gang that beat AE86, god foot R34, Shinigami R32, and Bunta's GC8 WRX coupe. It also introduced me to a bit of rally scene. I found EVO and WRX are cool as heck, so i tried to search it on local marketplace. It's expensive as hell, even the converted Lancer were priced nearly the same as the original. Haven't really thought about it anymore, but still looking for one and thinking that I maybe bought the Lancer or Galant and convert it myself. One night my friend and I chat about our favorite cars. After that, i watched youtube as usual, and then i found one video that changed my life. Mighty Car Mods 10s Cresta. I never watched video like that before, prob one of the best youtube video i've ever watch and it made me fell into car rabbit hole. Their production quality, the soundtracks, and their story to bring Cresta from JP to AUS and modified it to the max and Brought it to the drag strip. I've never felt such joy watching a TH-cam video, and it convinced me that this car (well, the x70 Cressida because its sister car was never sold in my country) is the only car I want right now. It's cheap now, looks cool, comfy, RWD, and large engine bay that can fit V8 there. Never saw it in my area before, so i had an "Is that a Supra" moment when i saw it a few week ago. Well at current situation I honestly dont know i could afford one. But if i had one, I will swap it's 1GE engine with 1UZ VVTi w/ manual trans on it and mod it to look like the Chaser pic i found on the internet. Maybe in a few years i will grow bored of it and repeat the cycle again.
I've owned lots of cars myself All gens of Zs from Datsun 240z all the way to 370z, c5-c7 corvettes, all generations of miatas, s2k, evo 8, 13 STI....and more. Currently in a MK5 Supra. You are spot on! Every car has it's own personality...every car gives you a different take of the driving experience. I've always felt there is no such thing as a dream car....it's as mystic as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbows.
Cars really feel alive. They breathe, they pump fluids through their bodies, they send electrical signals to operate parts of themselves, just like us. You said it, they really do have these personalities all unique from one another even when it's the same make and model their environment changes them. I own a 2002 z71 Tahoe that has been in my family since it was new, I grew up in it and now I'm rebuilding it and that has made it my favorite car in the entire world. It's not my dream car, but it is definitely the most important car to me. You made some really good points and that is a car should resonate with your soul. Then you know you have the right one - or two or three!
@@albonfilms that's awesome! These LS based Chevys are absolutely work horses. They run for hundreds of thousands of miles without too much issue! Besides well, fuel pump and those weak transmissions lol
Absolutely on point. I have owned 3 of my 'dream cars' and moved on every time. Ford Capri, Jaguar XJ-S, BMW 635CSi. What do I drive now? 2015 Range Rover, what will I have next? Don't know. As an aside check out Sarah'N'Tuned. 2UZ in a Celica.
Adam! Appreciate the heck out of you! That black Supra footage is from Gangstaz 4 Life 2 bahaha, right before you sneak in and start murdering people with a bb gun 😂😂😂
I think for me, i wanna be like jay Leno, but only have a fraction of the cars he has. I never had 1 dream car it was always a garage like i have in need for speed or forza. In total theres 40-50 cars i want in my garage.
I still have the e34 that was my first car. I also have an F11 as a daily so I don't depend on that e34 anymore. But this car is my absolute dream and has been that for 5 years now. I absolutely love it. I bought it cheap while I was still studying, and it got me where I needed to go every day with no issues for two years. Only then when I was earning enough money to get a reliable daily it started having some issues. And sure, these issues may get expensive and whatnot, but I owe this car so incredibly much. It got me through my studying time incredibly cheaply and surprisingly reliably. It allowed me and my friends to make weekend trips. And even now. Every time I see this car I have to giggle. Every time I sit in this car it feels like coming home. Every time we arrive at our destination I am proud of this car for doing such a good job. Also it keeps me busy. There is rust. There are parts that need replacement. There are leaks to be fixed... there is a lot to do. But guess what. If I spend money on this car, if I spend time in the garage under this car, it keeps me from doomscrolling Ebay to look for the next thing... because my current thing is the next thing. And as far as I can see, it will stay that way for quite a while.
I'm pretty happy with the Yellow 97 NSX I bought way back then. It ticks all the boxes for me sure it could use more power and I did add 30 hp. But as you said to much is a curse. I can't take it anywhere it doesn't turn heads and thats fun. But the best thing about it is when I get in it and drive. It's a time machine all of a sudden I'm 25 years younger maybe more. Cars are great.
Great video bro, Although my version would be with Nissans and Infinitis, I totally agree with u and for some reason I get a car and think yeah this is it…..a couple of years passes and I’m already in the market for another one😂
A 2 year old video and it feels like it just came out today. Wow. This video truly changed my perspective on having a dream car or modded car. 700whp daily sounds fun but seems like a pain, and have a modded out car means 9/10 times its parked with an issue. So to just have a “dream car” thats bone stock but hits all the right boxes seems fun. And to have a modded out rustbox may bring a lot of issues, its up to enjoying its time and personality that makes up for it.
I bought mine. 13 years ago. Special ordered for European Delivery 2011 BMW 328i station wagon. RWD, 6spd manual. Equipped exactly how I wanted it. I have other cars, and many have come and gone, but the wagon is forever.
that is exactly why always when i play a car game, i try to collect all the different cars from other, like a porsche for grippy track beast, 458 as a fun fact, bugatti for speed and luxury etc.
I really hope I'm the type of guy that buys my affordable dream car and stays smiling at it everyday. I want to be able to do everything to it and keep it precious through thick and thin. I would hate myself if I slowly lost interest in cars and what I really idealized for all my years living
That's absolutely what I've found with my cars tbh (Clio 172 Cup, mk3 Civic). They aren't super duper special by online culture standards but they're just really really nice and I still think they're both really pretty. Yes, it's a lot of work to keep them on the road sometimes (the newer one is 22 years old) but they're still reliable enough to be practical and I don't see myself wanting to get rid of either any time soon. I might want a small offroader like a mk1 Jimny at some point but my Dad has a couple of those we go trekking in from time to time so it's not like they're gonna be out of reach any time soon.
The trick is to have a realistic sense of what you really want in a car, I think. The Clio is reasonably affordable to run daily, comfortable enough while still having sharp enough edges to be fun, and simple enough that I can fix most problems myself. It doesn't have a lot of mod cons or driver aids but frankly I don't need them; it's got a stereo that goes as loud as I need it to and an engine that's powerful enough to be fun without being overwhelming and for me, that's enough. The Honda is *completely* analogue, looks like an 80s vision of a spaceship and weighs about the same as an empty cigarette package, and as a result it's such a direct driving experience that it doesn't need to be super powerful to be fun and there are few enough about that it really turns heads these days, I freaking love it :)
As a Gen-Xr, who grew up in both NYC and Buenos Aires, the grail car is a 1978 Argentine Torino TSX Coupé. A really good one is about $16K to $25K. Costs about $5K to ship and the magic of it is that it is a Pininfarina re-designed Rambler American. Boatloads of parts up here and damn! Does it look amazing.
My mind seeing the title: Maybe he's talking about why I'll never be able to afford my dream car My mind after seeing the video: Well, it's all about no matter how many times I buy my dream car, it won't be a dream anymore after being driven for a while
I think one big thing with this is that nowadays people is obsessed with numbers, al TH-cam channels feed that trend (not all of them, but most) and is not about how quick a car is, is about how it makes you feel when you drive it, same applies for motorbikes, customs are kind of slow, but really cool to ride.
Great video! Spot on for many things. I will say though, I like owning a car for a very long time. Boredom comes and boredom goes, but I never get tired a driving a well balanced car, no matter how long I've owned it. There is something empowering about really knowing your own car to the point it becomes like a part of your body. That takes a long time. Enjoy the new ride though!!!
I was supposed to get an old red 50's pickup truck from my dad for my first car but my parents got divorced and my mom sold it. Ever since I have been obsessed with red trucks, specifically Fords. Had the 03 F150 and now the 2012 F150, as long as I got a red truck I will be happy 😂
I drive a R32 skyline GTR VSpec, fell in love with the black gtr when i watched Initial D with my brothers when i was little, they build me a black one, but its pearl white now, fun first car ^^ especially as a woman, guys never expect to see a Skyline show up, it is anoying to drive with the steering wheel on the other side in my country, but i would never sell it
i had a 2018 BRZ. of the 40 some odd cars ive owned in the past 10 years, some slow, some ludicrously fast, none put such a giant endless smile on my face as that one did.
i got my first car less than a month ago, a gen 5 Celica. I've been looking at cars to buy for the past 3 years. Celica were always drawing my attention, a very handsome line up through the years. I've always had my eye on the gen 5. 2 years ago i decided to put away some money to buy my first car, looking around up until last year, i find a mint condition, 100% working gen 5 Celica. a day before i manage to get a ride to check it out, lock down happens. a year had gone past, lock down ended, and i was back in the hunt. i find the same exact car, waiting for me. i pull up on this old master miyage looking dude, and he puts down a blue tarp... and there are was, Celi, waiting for me in all her 90's glory. that moment when i check the interior, i say "yep, driving away on this" since then she gives me a huge smile that i cannot contain and give her as much love as i can, fixing some old diy jobs, changing fitment. i doubt I'll be done with her anytime soon
In general, you're correct. However, sometimes, extreme luck happens. My dream car had always been a manual 98-01 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS Coupe in Aspen/Pure White. I didn't know until after I bought it that only 7,500 coupe manuals were even built over those 4 years, and there were only 5 of them in Aspen White in the SF Bay Area. And I managed to buy the one that was sold at a dealership only 10 miles from my house. Oh; but after I moved 50 miles away and it was sold to a guy that lived less than a mile from my new house, who then sold it to me. Now I'm restoring it to a WRX STI v5 Type R.
I’m from a Toyota family; I learned to drive in a Corolla, I daily a Tacoma, and just taught myself how to drive stick in an A70 Supra. Looking to wrench on my MK3 soon and 2JZ swap it!
You never had a dream car; you had a dream feeling and the car was how you tried to get there. I have my dream car, and I wouldn’t sell it unless it was one of the last things I owned.
I have 370z but my ultimate drive is definitely x308 Jaguar XJR perfectly maintained. It looks so beautiful and elegant. Reminds of how Toyota Century's design is signifying Mt. Fuji. I'm Japanese and I bought Fairlady Z for it's heritage. But I'm such a sucker for British motoring... Jag, Lotus, MINI, Caterham, Morgan, Aston Martin, etc. I cannot choose or more like afford them. My wife has Cooper s coupe:)
Well, to be fair, I've found my dream cars, I had a 350z for 6 years and it was terrific. Tomei exhaust. But it was missing the tsutsutsu. Sold it and I imported a JZX100 Mark II and fully modified it to 600hp, learned to map it and did the whole tuning. I never got bored of the tsutsu noises. I then had the opportunity to buy an R33 GTR, still got both. I've redid the engine (aside from the block). With R3 nismo turbos, tomei cams, ECU. I'm in love with both cars and while some stuff is to be maintained (ie I've had the manifold crack on the JZX) it's not that bad. I've driven like 10 000 before the rebuild and 15 000km on the rebuild (in 5 years) and maybe 10 000 on the skyline too (in 3 years). Both are my dream cars and I enjoy them fully. I wouldn't trade them for anything. The last grail to acquire is an RX7 with a 20B and my life will be complete. Aside from a Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster but unless I win the lottery... hell even if I win it it may not even be enough ! So yeah, stick to your dreams. I grew up playing LFS and then assetto, now I have these in my garage. Also had my dream bike (R6 2008-2014) and it was hella fun.
I have different levels of attainability for my dream cars Attainable: Dodge Magnum R/T Slightly less attainable: Mazda FC3S Turbo or 1988 Supra Less attainable: 1969 Mustang Unattainable: Koenigsegg Agera
Hello from 2024! We had a 1998 Toyota Avalon and we only had to get rid of it in 2023, so we really loved the car. It wasn't exactly sporty or fun to drive, but it was dependable, especially with a daily commute of over 1.5 hours 1 way. I had to get a new vehicle and eventually found a 2006 TSX, which has my dream K24A2 engine. Now I daily it to work and it's fun to drive, but also has all the interior refinements the Avalon had. I'm experiencing what you went through, I have my dream engine, but I've grown a little bored of it and am looking for something that's even more sporty and fun, maybe for the weekends. So yeah, even if you get your dream car/engine/etc., you'll eventually get bored. I thinks that's just human nature for you.
Video: You'll never buy your dream car. Me: I mean, at this point even if I had an infinite amount of money and connections to find one; I gave up at this point.
I remember playing Codemasters' Touring Cars 2 as my very first video game when I was like 6 or 7 and one of the coolest cars in the game was the Volvo S40. Over the years I wanted many kind of cars 3rd gen Firebird, Z33, Z32, Lexus S190, S13, FG Falcon, P11 Primera, but eventually I wanted to get a 90s/00s at least midsize sedan or wagon, since those are my favourite type of cars in terms of looks. And many years later I'm here with an S40 2.0 and I'm really happy with this thing. One day I'd also like to get a second gen V70 to experience having a car with a 5 cylinder engine, but I never want to sell my S40, since according to the original buyer's paper it was sold in the december of 2002 just a street away from the house I've grown up in, when I was a little kindergartener. My friends used to bring up the Harry Potter phrase, like "the wand choses the wizard" and since I bought it at a completely different part of the country, not knowing about its origin I think it's perfectly fitting.
The beauty of never being permanently satisfied is that someday your Celica liftback will become someone else’s dream car. ..there’s nothing wrong with sharing your dream once you’ve enjoyed it enough.
For me the thing that got me into liking cars ,and especially the Japanese ones, was when my uncle bought a black Celica GT4 St205. When my 5 yo me saw that for the first time i was just blown away. When I was a kid, I stood in front of solbergs blobeye wrc. I loved that car so much, I literally wanted that car since then. Now I got an 2003 jdm sti (not blue, not with that livery, but cool anyways in silver) and reality kicks, because it's an old car. I love it, but when you enter your car, everytime there's this voice in your head " watch out, something can break every second, and then you wait for your parts a month" This is, what bugs me the most. But the older cars have soul and character, as Albon said. I miss my gnarly Rx8 which was more reliable than my sti but chugged twice that gas, I miss my first car -an rusty, somehow smelling like lubricant Ford Puma, and I always wanted a honda, whether it is an integra dc2 or a plain civic. But everytime, I got a new car I was excited for it, loved it and enjoyed it, and after a while i was ready for the next step. And ALL THIS is, what Albon described perfectly.
My dream car was a Noble. I have a very guilty pleasure for Nobles, especially the M12 and the M600. They’re amazing lightweight supercars that aren’t legal in the US, and from the moment I saw one on Top Gear, I wanted it more than any other car.
Personally, I'm going for an Integra as my first car, as long as its a 2 door. They're cheap and I'm willing to spare no expense to make the Integra my own. If I had to choose a different car later in life, I'd go for one of my realistic choices of dream car, the one I'm going for rn, a 300zx (z31 or z32), S2000, or a E36, but I feel like thats a bit too far in price. If there were no limitations, I'd probably buy an R33.
I had my last car for ten years, and I still loved it up until the day I sold it, and I barely modified it either. I've just gotten a car I've waited eighteen months for, and a car I think won't exist ever again from a manufacturer. Not only do I never plan on selling it, I can't ever see myself getting bored with it.
Going through this right now with my FRS. I've had my lien release letter for over a year now but just made my appointment at the DMV for this weekend so I get my title in my name only because I know I want to sell it soon. I'm so grateful for learning car control and basic modding in this car, but I think the itch has been scratched. Looking for more comfort, power, and practicality. Almost bought a Giulia Veloce 18 months ago. Might pull the trigger now that they're used.
As a kid, I loved mustangs. When I got older I got into Japanese cars and lusted for the old Celica liftbacks. I currently daily an FRS, and wish like mad I could afford an LFA, but dream cars are for dreams. My current passion project is an '83 280zx. It may not be the greatest, and not everyone's cup of tea, but it's very "me."
I love cars but I don't want to own expensive, fancy, fast etc. I tried it once and as much as I loved driving that car it was thirsty, something always needed fixing, always something. I'm much happier driving a cheap to run sh.tbox, everything is fixed on it, runs fine and is good with fuel. As for dream cars I'll happily stick to racing them in racing games. I get all the fun of customising them and abusing them on the track without the headaches and being constantly broke.
What you can do is, buy a brz for handling, ae86 for drifting, lfa for sound, etc etc etc. So you can enjoy each point in different cars. But hey, it's impossible for us to keep these many cars and maintain them. Only ultra rich people can do this. But again, rich people don't have time and they have different taste. So basically, again, we came at a point where, we can't enjoy all the things in One car....and we cant complete our dream. Be happy in what you have, work hard for what you want. Sorry for the bad grammar. Love your videos. Love from India.
I bought an R33 GTR this year. Sure it isn't perfect, but no car is and with newer cars you also always end up having some sort of trouble. So might as well have the trouble with a car you really like and is lots of fun to drive.
Sooo, I sold the Celica. And then I bought an abandoned FD RX-7: th-cam.com/video/AKFGsK-5K7A/w-d-xo.html

Nothing wrong with never being satisfied, you get to experience more that way.

@@DrTheRich he dropped so many screws from his head then he went around test fitting different screws and sometimes hes left them in there for too long because he couldnt find screws that fit.
That’s the thing:
You wanted a Challenger but didn’t have the money for a proper *V8 model* and instead went with the basic V6 version.
Lots of people do that mistake unfortunately…
Those American 🇺🇸 sports cars - it’s either V8 or nothing!
To be fair, you should have already seen and known about the V8. They have had v8 available since the first year model. You just need to know what you want when you buy them, looks or performance. But if you really want performance, you get a mustang.
"Reality is never as sweet as the dream" that's it right there...

Maybe in a few years i will grow bored of it and repeat the cycle again.
well i did....soo....whats up with that? 0:14

You are spot on! Every car has it's own personality...every car gives you a different take of the driving experience. I've always felt there is no such thing as a dream car....it's as mystic as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbows.
The “next thing” was real though. But it’s also what motivates the entire human population.

I have other cars, and many have come and gone, but the wagon is forever.

you can see a banner type thingi which im guessing that something is written in Arabic
im asking if your Muslim....
cus hey im too
that is exactly why always when i play a car game, i try to collect all the different cars from other, like a porsche for grippy track beast, 458 as a fun fact, bugatti for speed and luxury etc.
Sad
😢
My mind seeing the title: Maybe he's talking about why I'll never be able to afford my dream car
My mind after seeing the video: Well, it's all about no matter how many times I buy my dream car, it won't be a dream anymore after being driven for a while
I think one big thing with this is that nowadays people is obsessed with numbers, al TH-cam channels feed that trend (not all of them, but most) and is not about how quick a car is, is about how it makes you feel when you drive it, same applies for motorbikes, customs are kind of slow, but really cool to ride.
Causally puts my dream car on the thumbnail and says I won’t be able to afford one. I need an Lfa in my life
I drive a R32 skyline GTR VSpec, fell in love with the black gtr when i watched Initial D with my brothers when i was little, they build me a black one, but its pearl white now, fun first car ^^ especially as a woman, guys never expect to see a Skyline show up, it is anoying to drive with the steering wheel on the other side in my country, but i would never sell it
Jokes on you my dream car is sitting out in my driveway I've had it for 2 years now I'm 21
i had a 2018 BRZ. of the 40 some odd cars ive owned in the past 10 years, some slow, some ludicrously fast, none put such a giant endless smile on my face as that one did.
i got my first car less than a month ago, a gen 5 Celica.
Now I'm restoring it to a WRX STI v5 Type R.
bro made a video about how much he loves toyota and finishes on how much he loves a bmw
I love Toyota too. That's why my dream car is the FRZ86. I have owned one since '16. Dream car done.
I’m from a Toyota family; I learned to drive in a Corolla, I daily a Tacoma, and just taught myself how to drive stick in an A70 Supra. Looking to wrench on my MK3 soon and 2JZ swap it!
Perhaps its just me, but my WRX STi is still my dream car after 5 years of ownership. It was the car I wanted, I got it, and nothing will replace it.
You never had a dream car; you had a dream feeling and the car was how you tried to get there.
I have my dream car, and I wouldn’t sell it unless it was one of the last things I owned.
but i already bought my dram car now i have to sell it and pretend i never had it because albon told me so
I have 370z but my ultimate drive is definitely x308 Jaguar XJR perfectly maintained.
I have different levels of attainability for my dream cars
Attainable: Dodge Magnum R/T
Slightly less attainable: Mazda FC3S Turbo or 1988 Supra
Less attainable: 1969 Mustang
Unattainable: Koenigsegg Agera
Didn't even watch the video but just so it's clear, I already have, and I will never not love it.
(M5cs) if anyone is wondering
@@lucassullivan2109 M5 cs is sick... Respect bro
Very true!
people who always satisfied not really getting far.
nice video
I nearly cried when I saw that LFA crash 😭
For me the thing that got me into liking cars ,and especially the Japanese ones, was when my uncle bought a black Celica GT4 St205. When my 5 yo me saw that for the first time i was just blown away. It also made me have a good opinion about Toyotas as a whole but ive always been more a Nissan/Mitsubishi guy so im currently trying to find some 300ZX or 3000GT for good price since theyre my dream cars of all time.
Bro I’ve been eyeing the ST205 GT4. I’ve seen a couple in my city and on the market so it’s definitely not an unrealistic dream car.
@@ruthusflabbergast1263 thats true. Even tho its rare it costs way more than Evo or sometimes even some STI. And its even better in some aspects.
@@Namazudesu yah not many made unfortunately but I have other dream cars that are more attainable :P
@@ruthusflabbergast1263 like what?
@@Namazudesu Civic SI (4 5 6 gen), MR2 SW20, 3rd Gen Prelude, Impreza STI, BMW E30,E36,E28,E24,E34,E46, Honda Integra. I would say an Evo (9th gen or older) but they all are like 30K in my city
When I was a kid, I stood in front of solbergs blobeye wrc. I loved that car so much, I literally wanted that car since then. Now I got an 2003 jdm sti (not blue, not with that livery, but cool anyways in silver) and reality kicks, because it's an old car. I love it, but when you enter your car, everytime there's this voice in your head " watch out, something can break every second, and then you wait for your parts a month"
This is, what bugs me the most.

Thanks for solving the equation. It's just like me with my bikes... And now, thinking about buying my "dream car". It's never enough.
my favourite car has always been the LFA for absolutely no real reason. THAT BEING SAID, you just gained a subscriber
I already bought my dream car half a year ago and it's a Golf MK7.5 R 2015 and I'm 19 years old😎
Bro, congratulations on your Celica liftback. Your story was excellent.
Thank you for watching!
wtf? dream car for me it means the car that i would want to own, but for you, it seems like it means the perfect car that you would drive forever
Not a dream car, but a dream fleet. One car for every type of way I could feel
