Congrats Anna! Congrats Ethan!
What’s also impressive is Ethan Pang not only remembering the last game he played with Anna, but being cognizant of what did, and didn’t, happen during the match. Yikes!
I think it was Kasparov who indignantly told an opponent “well you made the moves” referring to a previous match that his opponent didn’t recall. Arrogant genius.
Soooooo GOOD to see this rematch by these two fantastic human beings! Great sportsmanship from both sides. Fully demonstrated how you can be competitive and still be modest and respectful. Thank you!
Fun game, and what a fine young player Ethan Pang is. Mistakes on both sides but some great tactics too. Aww so amazing. Feel like chess is one of the games / sports that is such an equaliser. On the board, age, gender, background don't matter (that much). Of course there are still mental and structural barriers in the chess space, but I love seeing people any age playing each other.

@Anna, I had an idea for your channel that I'd love to see you do. I'm fairly new to chess, and I know a lot of people would be more interested in playing if the daunting theory was understood. You've also talked a bit about studying and prep before in your videos and tournament play. What if you created a channel series going through the theory and the different openings. Personally I like the Reti and Kings Indian. Having a series explaining the theory and lines with your enthusiastic persona would be amazing!
You are both so humble. Both so amazing! I watch your matches all the time. You are a sweet "Queen Gambit" Love your mind, soul and game play you rock young lady!
Fantastic video's you make, the energy comes from the screen :-) I used to use a chess player on primary school and middle school, was pretty good in it. I wonder which program I can use to enhance my skills again ?
9 years old and a 2200 rating is just mind-blowing. Anna definitely had the advantage of experience here, and was able to adapt based on her previous games, where Ethan is still partially reliant on the object of surprise. In a few more years he'll have the table time at an elite level and be pretty unstoppable. I'm very interested in Anna's current rating though, she must be about the same as in FIDE?

Anna. Your kindness and humbleness and good nature to everyone you meet is remarkable. You are more than an ambassador of the game, but many could learn to be kind to others watching your channel. Bravo. “ should have taken the rook….” Ethan will. Be exciting to watch over the years.
To achieve a GM norm, one must beat 14 GM's, both at home and overseas. So, when Ethan said that it would take him a long time to become a GM, that was an accurate assessment.
I hate these quick games. In this game both make so many mistakes, especially in last seconds. Quality dropped dramatically. At this speed it's not 2200, not even 1600.
