Thank you for all the support of this video!! My USA trip has been incredible, I have met so many cool people and there will be so many videos in the next weeks, months🤩🤩 There was a bit of drama in the comments about my draw offer to Annie. In general, there is no problem in offering a draw during a game and as by the rules, I made my offer before pressing the clock. In this precise moment, I was genuinely expecting a quick NO by Annie which I thought would be funny 😅 as she said NO when I asked her "Do you trust me?" a few moves before or when she refused to capture the poisoned pawn on a2. 😅 Surprisingly, she accepted the draw so quickly and the game ended there. What we did after is to let her play out the endgame to try to win anyway the prices on the line. I am sorry that I didn't think about giving some time back to Annie. Actually, I think the best would have been to play without the clock as that endgame is extremely hard to play for a win (the grandmaster says that in the video too and stockfish doesn't show a clear path). Would you like to see a video where I let a Grandmaster explain that endgame? Last thing for a bit a context: this is not a competitive game. This is a friendly game played in a streamer event where talking, chatting is part of the event concept. Thank you for all the comments about Annie and her talent! I tried to heart all of them! ❤ I also wish Annie all the best, I think she has a huge talent!! And at the same time, I wish her to enjoy her chess journey as for me the enjoyment part has been the biggest challenge when playing chess competitively at her age🙏 Have fun, thank you for reading. See you in the next video😁
Your message truly melts my heart! Normally, competitors are treated like enemies, even if they are younger than us, or maybe older than us. But you thought about ANNIE's good, thinking about her talent, her skill even in young age. That's truly appreciable and honorable. I also wish all the very best to ANNIE as she might definitely be in the top players list across the world when she grows up. She really has a bright future ahead, but even wishing YOU, all the very best for the future chess games. May your dedication pay off.... And please keep uploading more such videos! We love it! And we get to learn a lot about chess from you as well as your opponents! Even I love playing chess, and even I wish to be a good player when I grow up, maybe like the grandmasters, and even maybe like you (And of course, like Annie)!!! 😃😃😀😀
Kid would have won for sure if it weren't for trash talk that wasted kids time and just distracted her. You offered draw to save your face and not kids, kid was by then so confused that she agreed to it. Lame.
Alessia promises to ask only one question, then immediately breaks her promise, than proceeds to talk (to herself? to Annie? to the onlookers?) throughout the entire game.
Alessia, I did not enjoy your condescending, intrusive, and somewhat aggressive disposition to that delightful young lady who showed extraordinary courage, acumen, forbearance and good humor at the board in front of you.
Ow, stop crying. I partly agree with you, but we adults do this so these kids do not grow up to be narcissists. Annie is going to be a great chess player and a fine woman.
@@allannortje6440 Letting you in on a little secret here. Maybe you can understand a bit better. The problem here is that these kids at a very young age can be better at chess than adults. That is fine, but it is not when these kids get the impression they're better at everything. To prevent them from walking next to their shoes, we need to patronize them. Or do you want to be a parent that befriends your children and not learn them anything about life?
@Nobody-df4is Yes I understand a little. Then they become like these weird kids that talks to nobody because they are better than everyone else. Hi Alessia! Go to hear you had a great trip! At least with this video I don't feel so bad now. Playing local tournament last week, first 2 games I got creamed by 2 eight year old kids! I am nowhere near your level or Annie's for that matter! Keep it up Annie, next time Alessia comes to town no draws, just you sending her home with a mate!

She was soo silent trying hard to not express herself as childish and look professional and that made everything harder😂
what are u talking about
That was an incredible performance from the young lady. She will go far.
She is already so strong and will just get stronger !!
Calculation made by that kid feels like hikaru explaining his moves
That was so sweet of her actually
Same energy.
If you ever see a kid in chess RUN 💀
These days pretty much
that would have been epic if when Alessia said "can I ask another question?" Annie responds with "you just did."
"Not if you don't mind if I don't answer."
6:06 Someone literally called an ambulance. 💀
Sound of ambulance in the background 😂
Fr 💀
For me!!! 😅
The kid is soo serious. And it feels so real coz sometimes some kids are like that. Being extra serious to not get caught being a kid 😂
Chinese kids are often put under pressure to perform...
When she said "is this the middle game?" You could see her cute little mask of seriousness falling apart a bit 😂
you win or you learn....now, thats a great statement!
Mini hikaru????
"If I go there, you go there, I go there"🤣🤣🤣
What the hell I’ve never thought I’d get so much hype over a chess match video 🤣
11:42 I must be learning a lot!
LOL
I guarantee many viewers were thinking the same about themselves.
Honestly it's much better to watch chess on a silent mode...
The old lady talks too much
@@rodrigovillamar5276 don't be rude
Actually that kid is winning but the oppenent is try to distract her by speaking 😂
I'm stealing that, "you either win or you learn", great advice
I don't think she's use to chatty opponents :)
Nice work, Annie!! 😁😁🤜🏾🤛🏾 I loved the way she started all business against you, Alessia, fun to watch!!
Thank you!! 😁
This girl has her stressed 😂😂😂
Little girl is so cutd😊 " you do not want to talk with me?" ..silent as an aswer😅😅😅😅😅
I think she was better than Alessia most of the game if there was a longer time limit she wouldve won
2:56 if black takes the pawn at a2
then white pawn b3 and the bishop has no escape
That last 15 seconds was so intense
Kid would have won for sure if it weren't for trash talk that wasted kids time and just distracted her. You offered draw to save your face and not kids, kid was by then so confused that she agreed to it. Lame.
No Annie the little girl called the draw since she ran out of time and if she didn’t call the draw she would of lost (I think I’m not certain though)
Totally. Without the camera and her need for content, Annie would have won.
I don’t even know anything about chess but this was just mesmerizing to watch
2:08 that sneaky smirk
“DO IT OR I WILL FIND YOU AND BEAT YOU” uhmm that was brutal lol 😂
The young one has already learned chess is played on the board, not with noises from your mouth intended to irritate. Not so much the older one.
"I will not talk to you any more"
then talks through the entire match wile little girl does not....
That Fork 👌
Indeed! Ouch :)
I thought to myself, "Why did Stockfish say she blundered?"
💡
C'mon Alessia! Use your old lady powers you spent decades learning against this infant !
11:13 taking rook by bishop was a way more better choice
I thought so as well. But we could be wrong. I don't know.
Rook d3 is sneaky but still losing position. Idk if im right hahah😂
Alessia has a gorgeous smile and very expressive eyes. But her trash talk scares me. She’s very intelligent. ❤
"... and a piece of chocolate"
So this is how they train future GMs?
Annie is adorable, she reminds me of my niece 🥲

Yes, I just saw where they mention the Marshall near the end.

Please dont talk too much while gaming. Its affect opponent peace of mind. The kid knew the rules already. This is not a cookery show.
A lot of opponents talk during matches, it's best to learn to tune it out and play your best in spite of it

That's literally what all chess streamers do, even Hikaru, it's how they provide entertainment
@bernardsoul5186 Understood, but it disrespects the opponent who clearly wants no verbal distraction.
@ and she will encounter many opponent and who do that, might as well learn as early as possible to tune them out
@ also, a lot of what Alessia said was pretty helpful to Annie's chess education
@@bernardsoul5186 Hahaha, you have a good point!
She literally talked and wasted that girls time … alessia would have lost to an 8 year old
I couldn't agree more.
Alessia talked on her own time too… when she asked if the girl was good at middle games
She also set her up to win many pieces through tactics, calm down
would be nice to see Annie and Ruyi play chess
