2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 300g ▢1 tsp baking soda ▢1 tbsp corn starch ▢1 tsp salt ▢3/4 cup unsalted butter 170g, melted ▢1 cup light brown sugar 200g, packed ▢2/3 cup granulated sugar 133g ▢2 eggs large, room temperature ▢1 tbsp vanilla extract 15mL ▢1 cup white chocolate chips 150g Instructions Set the oven to 350F. Line an 9x9 inch baking sheet with parchment paper and melt the butter. Add the flour, salt, baking soda, and corn starch to a medium bowl then whisk together and set aside. Pour the melted butter into a large bowl. Add the white and brown sugars and whisk together, they'll form a somewhat thick slurry. Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix together well. Dump the dry mixture into the wet and mix until combined then stir in all but a handful of the white chocolate chips, mixing so they're distributed. Transfer the dough to an 9x9 inch baking dish. Top with the reserved white chocolate chips. Bake for about 35 minutes at 350F. The cookie bars are done when the edges are set and golden brown and a toothpick or skewer inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. Let the cookie bars cool in the pan for about an hour before removing and cutting.
Hey! I tried this recipe already! It's AMAZING. Now I did use chopped milk chocolate instead of white chocolate and I used dark brown sugar, salted butter and skipped corn starch(cuz I didn't have any) and the result was still really, really good: like a cookie cake. This is infact the first blondie recipe I have tried. The blondies are already finished,it's that good! Will make this again soon. Thanks! Isla
I love that wholesome 'joy to watch' John converts metrics (in Videos) so that all over world Bakers (such as me from Oz) understand how much to use in recipes. Well done John 👍😁
This looked so good! I've never had a blondie before but I love the combination of brown sugar and the whole tablespoon of vanilla, I'm sure it smells heavenly! Thanks also for always providing measurements in grams, we use empirical measurements in South Africa so this makes it easier to get an overall picture of what it should taste/smell/feel like. I will try to make and adjust this for a larger baking pan ( I don't have a square pan/tin). Thanks for always making me so happy with your baking! ❤

Dear John 🦋 you have inspired me to follow my dream and become a baker🤩❤ thank you so very much 🌈💗I will bake this tomorrow like all of your other recipes ❤❤❤❤❤
You are so right about measuring as the make it or break it moment for a recipe. I’ve been a homebaker for 10 years now, and I used to be a “cup” person for the LONGEST time, but honestly there’s some things that work, but with varying ingredients or measurements that aren’t in whole - it’s SO easy to mess up. Unless its exactly a cup, a tablespoon, or in that ballpark, its too easy to mess up. Hate recipes that call for sticks of butter too. Thanks for your consistent dedication to metric measurements!
i always always always come back to him whenver i want to bake something coz I have successful bakes with his recipes. I trust him with my baking journey!
Hello John, this blondie recipe is clearly a must do (especially after making your cream cheese cookies, the lemon bars & your killer chicken salad-- love tarragon)! Thanks too for showing how to properly prep the parchment paper for a 9x9 pan. 💕😁
I made these for our son’s school fair. My husband did volunteer work during the fair and said out of all the baked goods, only my Preppy Kitchen Blondies were sold out! 🎉🎉They are so amazingly good!! Thanks John Kanell!!
I have made this recipe twice and my husband loved it. I used chopped almond instead white chocolate chips and I reduced the sugar so it was not too sweet. thanks John for the recipe🙏😍

Hi John. I made this last night for my kids (with butterscotch chips). Another winner! Your recipes have always been a success for me. Thank you so much.
I was looking for a blondie recipe to make my bf, & then found John’s channel. I was a little sceptical because I didn’t want cakey blondies, I wanted fudgey. I made these last night, & my GOD, they were insanely good. I did substitute the chocolate chips for white chocolate twix bars, with a tiny amount of white chocolate chips to fill the gap & to top with. Fudgey, gooey, delicious. Follow this recipe, don’t choose anyone else’s.
Man. It’s my first time making blondie from scratch. This is absolutely the best blondie I’ve ever made and eaten. There’s a little confusion between the measurements of the ingredients because it’s just didn’t add up (like flour, my 2.5 cups is definitely NOT 300gr), so I got confused as in which measurements should I use but it still turns out beautiful and tasty! We devoured half of it in a day (there’s just two of us). Thank you!
omd i tried this & it was so so good i was genuinely pleasantly surprised 🥳 never ever made blondies or brownies before but everything went smoothly due to the amazing explanation on what to do!! nice work

Thanks 😊
Call me silly but I was expecting lemon curd or some sort of lemon flavouring to be part of the recipe for blondies.
When recipes call for 3/4C butter it seriously annoys me lol
