    Nails are WAY too high. Shoild be an inch above the butt o f the next course

      Actually, all of the techniques I am using are correct. The only thing you aren’t seeing me use is the proper nail removal tool. Since this is a small job and can be done with the tools shown I didn’t want to spend the $50 on the proper tool. If you have a large job or feel the need to buy every tool for every small job you do, go ahead and buy the referenced shingle ripping bar.

      @@alittleofalot5171 I have a question about the shingle ripping bar, I searched for it and only came up with slate rippers that looked like you described it with the nail hook/cutters on the sides. Is there a ripping bar that is specific to cedar shingles? Also if it matters I have cedar shingle siding that is pretty thin compared to these in the video which I would have called shakes instead of shingles but I'm no expert
