Thanks for the review! We’re so glad you like our product! This summer we’ve launched an updated Ziggyshade product with a new carry bag and you can now purchase with your choice of 2 or 4 poles.
You're not going to believe this, but I'm actually going to the beach TODAY to compare and contrast the Neso Gigante, the Sun Ninja and the large ZiggyShade. I would recommend the Neso right now but that could change after today. Stay tuned.

Yes, those two beach shelters are very similar. There are a few differences though. The Neso Canopy has reinforced corners with metal grommets that attach to the sand anchor lines. The ZiggyShade sand anchor lines are just tied on to the corners so the lines can loosen and detach from the canopy before it's set up. Both beach canopies offer UPF 50+ sun protection, but I thought the Neso offered slightly more shade. Thanks for the question!
Brought one of these shade, I hate it. Take too much time to set it up and when the wind change direction the damn thing fails. Go back to umbrellas. Easy. 😉
What if you're at the lake where there's no or little wind? I'm gonna guess the Ziggy would just droop all over the place? Thx, anyway, Beach Gear Guy! Lovin' yr reviews from Canada.
Thanks for the Canadian love! Did you mean to type, "no or little wind"? If so, the ZiggyShade would do just fine at your lake spot if it's set up properly.
I’m interested in this canopy for the beach we go to. I read this review though on Amazon. What would you say to the review? I love this idea - an easy to assemble shade tent for the beach. We took it out once and found that there are several issues with the design, though: 1. Because the height on the poles is only about 6' and the tent we bought slants to one side, you can't really sit under most of it; 2. The tent has to be opened towards the wind, which isn't always the direction you want to have it open towards - you want it blocking the sun; 3. You have to submerge the pole really deeply in the sand, which, without a shovel, is a pain. They don't have corkscrew ends like the umbrella pole do; and 4. It just doesn't work in the wind. If you're on a beach on a still day it might be fine, but isn't there usually wind at the beach?
Great question. I'll address the issues in order. 1. These beach tents do slant to one side. If you plan one providing shade for 3-4 people, I would suggest buying a bigger sun shade. I review three of them in this video: th-cam.com/video/vmzmHCMfJ8M/w-d-xo.html 2. This is totally true for canopy beach tents. Sometimes the angle of the sun doesn't cooperate with the wind direction. 3. If the canopy beach tent is set up correctly with enough tension, there should be no need to submerge the poles in the sand. 4. The Jumbo ZiggyShade actually works well in the wind. Check out my other canopy beach shade videos so you can get a good idea what they're all about: th-cam.com/video/vmzmHCMfJ8M/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/BnxiE-KYUGk/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/WttQZsrQtmg/w-d-xo.html
it looks like one can now purchase the ZiggyShade produce with four poles, or at least it's advertised that way on Amazon. I've been looking at the Red Suricata product and it has made the claim that it was the only one of this class to come with four poles. I'd love to know which had sturdier poles and the larger, more friction-ful ball toppers, as well as durability of materials and build>
I just looked online and I couldn't find the ZiggyShade with four poles. Send me the link if you can. I couldn't even find any extra ZiggyShade poles for sale, which is a shame because the ZiggyShade poles are great. I haven't set up the Red Suricata sunshade yet but I understand your concern about the poles. Sounds great! I would love to review it!
Do you think this ZiggyShade from Australia would also work in Hawaii? I wonder if you could do a review from there????
Great idea! I like how you think! 😉
Which beach canopy do you thinknis the best ? Neso, ninja , or ziggy? Or any other you reccomend ?

Do you have a review of any of the canopies using the pegs for a grassy area rather than on the beach?

What's the main difference between the Ziggy Shade and the Neso? They seem so similar.

What size is this one
This is the smallest ZiggyShade. I think you would want the large or family size.
I like the ziggie shade!
Thanks Dave!
