Great video, do you have any advice for someone who is new to bass like I am. As a 16 year old I grew up listening to lots of rock and indie music growing from bands like the Beatles, pink floyd, and other classic bands, to newer bands as well. But I never grew up playing an instrument, and I'm really interested in someday being a good enough bass player to know how to play songs, and to write my own songs and someday form my own band. Do you have any advice or practice routines that you will be willing to share. And how good do you think you have to be in order to be "good enough" to play in a band. Sorry if this is a lot of questions and a huge mouthful.
You don't have to be really good to be in a band, just find likeminded people who want to learn music and play together. Try to talk with your music teacher at school, it might be a good start as he/she might give you bass to practice outside of school hours and give you some tips. And as I said, maybe you know someone who is playing guitar in your school, try to talk to him/her ask for help, for some lessons, they will for sure want to help you learn and maybe you will create something together that way 😊 And there is plenty of lessons online when you get bass. You can try bending the 5th fret instead
