      How often should we exfoliate our skin with mild AHA BHA face cleanser? Should be everyday? Or 2 3 times a week is already good? Because I dont like to exfoliate my skin too much especially during summer.

    Can we stop a minute ans appreciate how great are Rowena and Felicia as host?! They are really attractive (yes they are beautiful but im not here talking about their physical appearance). What I mean is they are really professional. They make audiences comfortable with their cheerful attitude, they don't make us feel like we're watching, instead, we feel like we're talking directly to a close friends who are skin experts. We need hosts like this in our talk show

    My tip to deal with large pores based on my experience: USE GEL MOISTURIZER instead of cream moisturizer. Preferably more transparent gel, as it is usually formulated not to clog your pores. I saw almost immediate result in minimizing the looks of large pores after switching from creamy moisturizer to gel moisturizer.

      @@dae-nnylusuhh2039 Cosrx Green Tea Aqua Soothing Gel Cream... It's like the texture of aloe.
      I also love Bonajour Green Tea Water Bomb Cream. Similar texture to the cosrx one

    • @tojin
      @tojin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @@dae-nnylusuhh2039
      - Cosrx: Green Tea Aqua Soothing Gel Cream -> All-round excellent moisturizer for the last step to seal all the ingredients you applied. Texture is super gel like, bouncy and one of the very few GEL moisturizers with high percentage of Green Tea Extract (2nd or 3rd in the ingredient list!) hence aid to minimize the visible pore size. Very soothing & cooling. @Frank Anthony thumbs up!
      - Naturium: 5% Niacinamide Gel Cream -> Soft, gel consistency. 5% niacinamide is the highlight obviously, but the minimal ingredient list is attractive not to 'suffocate' the skin. It contains Coconut fruit juice, which is not oil, so can get the benefits of coconut without being clogging.
      - Hada Labo: Hydrating Water Gel -> Possibly the lightest weight but at the same time very hydrating, plumping thanks to the advanced-formulation of multi-weight hyaluronic acids. They are the pioneer of this 'multi-layer hyaluronic acid' forumla which many other brands are doing now. Very high amount of niacinamide (2nd or 3rd ingredient) too.
      - I'm From: Vitamin Tree Water Gel -> Sea buckthorn extract being the main base (=wound healing, potent vitamin c, brightening) with niacinamide too. Possibly the thickest texture out of my list here hence most 'moisturizing', but not heavy for my skin at all.
      - Glow Recipe: Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer -> Very light but very hydrating, tons of antioxidant in it, very watery gel cream that glides through easily. A bit sticky texture but nice soothing gel for both AM & PM to me.
      - iUnik: Centella Calming Gel Cream -> Likely the lightest weight gel cream. If you are not having oily skin, it may not be rich enough in PM hence may want to layer over with something else too. Centella & tea tree extract/water work amazing to calm the skin & fight acnes effectively to me.
      These are the 6 gel moisturizers I have used before. Hope it helps!

    I think Ro should really give the Inkylist retinol a try!
    What I did to introduce it to my skincare was put a pea size amount into my moisturizer. I would recommend a moisturizer which contains ceramides. Mixing it into your moisturizer acts as a buffer but still gives you all the benefits of the retinol just with little to no irritation. also recommend to wait about 15-30 min after cleansing for your face to dry and then go in with the retinol/moisturizer combo. I would star off once the first week like on tuesday too see how your skin takes it, then the next week two days out of the week(tuesday and saurday), then the third week 3 days out of the week(tuesday thursday and saturday). The formulation is very hydrating and moisturizing and gentle which is why I think it would be a great fit for Ro's routine. Im really sure Fel would really enjoy it too! after using it for a bit you could go in with two pea sizes.

      @@chaimaechaimae5335 blackheads form when the oil in our pores come up to the surface and oxidize (that's why it is black) and whiteheads are essentially clogged pores. bha will dissolve all the dirt and oil in the pores. picking, self extracting, pores strips, pore sucction vaccum stuff does not work and makes it worse. try and use oil controlling and balancing ingredients like niacinamide and hydration. our skin can over produce oil when our skin is lacking hydration. I would say focus on hydrating and moisturizing, using niacinamide to control sebum production, and using bha to dissolve dirt and oil deep in the pores. Hope that helps!

    Having blackheads on my nose since I'm 13.. I'm now almost 28, tried eeeeeverything. I double cleans, use TO Niacinamide, TO 0,5% Retinol and PC BHA for 8 months now, but I dont see any results (on my nose, rest of my face yes!). Any recommendations / tips / suggestions? thank you!

    • @BeautyWithin
      @BeautyWithin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hii! So it could be that the blackheads you see on your nose are actually sebaceous filaments (they look so similar too! 😩😩). If you squeeze a bit and see waxy and sometimes stringy gunk come out, that's essentially what it is! Sebaceous filaments are what helps your skin stay moisturized and protected against environmental aggressors so it's just something we can't get rid of (even though we can try to minimize their appearance a bit) 😅😅 Hope this helps!

      they are both really similar. the isntree has 80% green tea extract whereas the benton has 50% green tea water. both have centella and willowbark. the isntree has gingko biloba leaf. the benton has Houttuynia Cordata and sodium hyaluronate. I personally think both are great.
