    Fantastic! Can't understand why this was never a hit in the UK.The English never recognise their own great talents like Ray Fenick(Crawdaddy Simon,Magpie theme, Fancy etc.)
    Why on earth were we dragging other afro haired guitarists, (I think we all know of who I'm talking about) all the way across 'the big pond', when we had fantastic talent of our own like this!

  • @kennethquandt8598
    @kennethquandt8598 10 ปีที่แล้ว +31

    Whether this was lip-synced, I know not. What I do know is that Peter was extremely underrated as an artist. ZsaZsa is certainly right when she wrote 4 years ago that his voice was magic and it was. His life was far to short. It's unfortunate th at he never really came into his own. Rest in Peace Peter

The stereo version has the two notes hit by the organist shifting from left to right...a new radio station that went on the air accidently was one-channel and they only found out when they played this tune.

    @herbherbert Beg your pardon, but this band was Dutch, not from the UK. This song was a big hit over here in the home of your so-called 'Afro haired guitairists.' Indeed great guitar and a fantastic set of pipes. And can you really be be taking a knock at Jimi? Really?

    I live the band and I love this song it is my all time favorite But I'm curious as to why the organ player never let's the camera man film his face. We see his hand but never a clear visible view of his face?

      Pamela Matone I was wondering if it was Franklin Madjid, because of the hair, but couldn't get a good look.

    @herbherbert ...Fair enough...knee-jerk reaction of us yanks, I'm afraid, is to always assume it's about us (or Jimi). Thanks for the clarification on UK customs. I'll have check out more about this "irony" of which you speak. Off to Wikipedia then! ;-)

    It's not lip-synched. I counted 140 dissimilarities between the single and this. But point by point, it is as identical as a live performance can be. By the way,
    who can tell me what languages this song is in? Send a Friend request for the answer.

      Sally, you must be incredibly stupid to not think this isn't lip synched. 140 dissimilarities? HAHA! You didn't notice that the length is exactly the same as the record?

      Sally, did you not notice that none of the band members have microphones or cords for their instruments? Did you not notice that the hand claps heard on the record are here but there is no one doing the hand claps? There is a live version available on TH-cam from Italian TV but this is NOT live. You must have a vivid imagination.

      They added a little reverb to the studio recording and played it back through the PA. Common practice for lip-synch performances.
