    Yes thank you for this. My cable is really slack and loose. And suddenly my bike idles really really high. I’ve adjusted the screw. Even changed the carb. And still screaming. I checked for air leaks. So I hope this is my problem. Too much slack

    Nice video, i adjusted my cable from the get go. The problem with my throttle from day one it has been very hard to turn the throttle. The cable is not pinched it is just hard. I seen one of your other vids and it seemed like the throttle was easy like i am used to on the motorcycles i have owned and rode. Is it normally hard to turn, or do i have a jacked up cable from the factory, now im questioning it. lol

      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could have a bad inner liner or have been pinched during shipping , try a few drops of oil in the line , it shouldn't be real stiff to operate.

    I jave both problems on both bikes one is not showing a spark so could be CDI or Inner Magneto, is your cable wraping around the seat?

    • @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes
      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be either one causing a no spark situation. Also if you have the kill button hooked up start by disconnecting it, I have seen them short out & not let the spark plug spark. No the cable is not wrapped around the seat .

    I will try this on my bike, I just got an HP carb to help seal an air leak o had on my older carb and the air leak is fixed but the engine is reving high at idle and the idle screw does nothing. I looked it up and I found that a loose cable might be the problem and it is constantly ever so slightly reving the engine. This would mean the sliding part in the carb does not even touch the idle adjuster so that is why it will not work. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do, thanks for the tip.

    • @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes
      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know exactly what HP Carb. you have but I can offer a general idea of what to check..I have found that with some ( after market carbs) that the standard throttle cable will be just short enough not to let the Carb slide go all they way down at idle.I would take the carb off,leave the cable connected to the carb & twist grip,look into the carb to see where the slide rests & then detach the cable from the twist grip & see if the slide goes down further in the carb,if it does then you'll know what area you need some adjustment ... I hope this suggestion helps..

    • @WhiskersTheFish
      @WhiskersTheFish 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eco-Trans Gas powered Bikes I have checked and when I release the throttle the slide comes down and hits the idle screw. So it is probably not a throttle problem. I will try switching the idle screw to one from my other stock carb to see if it makes a difference. I will also try using different choke and idle screw combinations to see if I can get it smooth that way.

    Any help?

    • @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes
      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      First I would remove the air filter cover & twist the throttle while looking in the carb. to make sure the barrel slide is going all the way up & down.. 2nd I would remove the head to make sure the cylinder doesn't have any wear marks or big scratches on it & check the head gasket, some times the head isn't properly tightened down from the factory.

    • @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes
      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just be careful and take you time when doing this because if you squeeze it too much it could pinch the inner steel liner & then it makes your throttle cable not work freely, just squeeze a little at a time, just enough to hold that sleeve in that adjustment nut.. 👍

      If I understand what you're asking, it should be a throttle stop adjustment screw to keep the throttle from being twisted too far. When you're all done you can adjust it so the throttle stopes before it pulls past full throttle & damages the cable & or Carb. slide.. 🚴‍♂🚴‍♂

    PLEASE ANWSER THIS MY BIKE DOESNT IDLE UNLESS I HOLD IN THE CLUTCH AND HOLD THROTTLE TO A CERTAIN POINT AND MY NEW ENGINE AND STUFF DOESNT REALLY HAVE MUCH POWER WILL THIS FIX IT?

    • @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes
      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like the clutch cable needs a little adjustment,(if when the clutch handle is pulled & the bike is still trying to move forward then the cable needs pulled a little tighter) That would be one reason it needs a higher idle to keep running, the clutch isn't fully disengaging. The screw on the left side of the carb.is your idle adjustment, throttle cable slack wouldn't affect what your saying your problem is.I would give it one more chance by getting out & riding around my neighborhood a bit & if these problems don't seem to get any better with a little break in I would consider sending the engine back for an exchange, sometimes a person just gets a lemon.

      @@EcoTransGaspoweredBikes yea but most of the time when i let go of my throttle it doesnt fully go back like the throttle handle doesnt fully go back so it has to be slack right? and i got a new motor and everything like i dont have a stock air filter,air intake, handles, carb, cylinder and piston i got all new of that stuff

    • @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes
      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@juicecupp6674 Ok that helps, it's tuff to diagnose a problem when you not there with the bike, I would start of by taking the air filter off & twisting the throttle & watch to see if the slide is going up & down freely if it's not that could be the issue, then I would follow the cable up to the throttle & see if you can find where it's hanging up.. I don't know what carb you have but I've noticed the style with the flat carb slide seems to be the one that gives people the most problems 😥 The little led end sometimes doesn't fit in those properly & hangs up the slide when using the throttle, sometimes a little sanding on the led ball at the end helps it fit better.. I know this stuff can be aggravating..🤬

    Hey can u please answer this, i have a small pocket bike, the throttle cable seems a bit too long, its put together properly but when i accelerate i get no throttle response, i shorten the cable but still it occurs

    • @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes
      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would start by taking off the air filter & twist the throttle while looking in the carburetor to make sure the cable is pulling up the slide inside all the way..If the slide is not going up & down you won't have any throttle response.

  • @foamypezz
    @foamypezz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What if it pops up on the carburetor as well?

    • @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes
      @EcoTransGaspoweredBikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Here's a couple suggestions for when this happens on the carb. end of the cable.. If you have enough slack in the cable you can make sure the cable is down in the cable adjustment fitting on the top of your carb. & zip tie the cable firmly to your frame, it will usually stay in then because the cable can't jump out...OR you can carefully do the same process just like up at the throttle assembly, make sure it's in all the way & put a light crimp in the fitting.. I would try the zip tie to the frame plan first...👍

      It sounds like it may have an air leak, I would check to make sure the carburetor is fully slid all the way onto the intake, just a little air leak will cause the engine to rev all by itself.. I would start there..

      Take you carb. air filter off, twist the throttle while looking in the end of the carb. to make sure your slide is going up & down when you twist it. It sounds like the cable isn't attached at the carb slide or maybe the twist throttle..I'd start there..👍🚴‍♂️
