Best Aluminum Hub Mount !!

Today I share the best aluminum rear sprocket hub mount for a rear coaster brake bicycle. This Hub Mount fits your standard sprocket that comes in your bike engine kit, no need to spend extra money on a CNC Sprocket. It also gives you that extra side to side adjustment you don't get with the rag joint.. Also, this Hub Mount fits properly & does not slip on the wheel hub & the sprocket bolts nev...

Keep your gas from freezing this winter!!
Excellent video. If you can't put this together after watching this video, you may as well call a professional
You said you've had that bicyle for over 15k miles. Would you be so kind as to do a video explaining what components are on it, engine, carb, clutch, etc, the maintenance you do on it so we can maybe do as you do and have a reliable bike? That would make a great video.
I'll be more than happy to; I should have some time toward the end of this week so keep an eye out for it. 👀👀
That company is offline. The website no longer exists, is there an updated site or spot to order from as of July 2024?
I think they may have moved to E-Bay with a store there, I'll look into it & let you know.
Good to see you guys out and about. You should cruise by Northfield Flea one of these days.
we'll have to do that.. 👍👍
They say phantom 85 version 3 is one of the more reliable engines nowadays. Do you agree?
Phantom engines are pretty good. 👍👍 But I will have to admit, I've probably used every brand & style over the years & you'll always run across a bad one in any brand if you use enough of them.. I'd say give it a try & if you don't think it runs the way it should contact the dealer you bought it from & exchange it, most dealers will work with you as long as it's within the 30 day purchase period.. No need to over think it, get one, get it on your bike & get out & enjoy some riding.. 🚴♂🚴♂

I thought the same thing.👍👍

I'm sorry 😪😪 I didn't see your message until today.. If you still need some help, I'll be more than happy to help you with any questions you may have if I can.
What size spoke tool do we buy for this bike? Front tire came untrue and the owners manual says says "best left to professionals." Please help
Different wheels have different spoke sizes. That's not something that one size fits all. Me personally, I take them to the bike shop & let them handle it while I'm working on the bike itself, that way the whole job is done correctly the first time & everybody wins.
What bike is this your using
It's a Huffy Nelusso
BikeBerry has a video on how to reinforce the fenders. I did it to mine and it was worth it. Very solid!
You sound like the Dude!! Thanks boss for all the help!
I'm glad this helped you with your build. 🙏🙏
Do you have to still make the hole in the sprocket bigger if you buy hub adapter
If you are wanting to run the standard sprocket that comes with your kit you will have to bore out the center hole. If you purchase the CNC Hub & sprocket you won't have to bore out the center hole, that type already has the larger hole.
I jave both problems on both bikes one is not showing a spark so could be CDI or Inner Magneto, is your cable wraping around the seat?
It could be either one causing a no spark situation. Also if you have the kill button hooked up start by disconnecting it, I have seen them short out & not let the spark plug spark. No the cable is not wrapped around the seat .
Yeah, Lucas oil is the best. Just the video I was looking for, I don't have a measuring cup, but I do have an empty single laying around.
I thought if you had an upgraded front engine mount you wouldn't need a chain tensioner. What is the secret to adjusting the chain tensioner?
The engine mount just allows you to mount the engine to the bigger frame tube. I'm not sure what you're asking about the chain tensioner, but usually the first step is to shorten the chain to the proper length you need (Usually they give you more length than you need so you have to remove a few links) after you shorten the chain then you can install the tensioner. If you don't shorten the chain, no matter where you place the tensioner the chain will have way too much slack
Garbage!!!! I just finished one, and what a pain in the ass. Couldn't get anything to fit without modifying. Wouldn't recommend using this bike. But fans good idea on the motor mount. Would of helped with my build.
Sorry to hear this bike stressed you out so bad on your build 😢Other than having to get the front engine mount adapter for the fat tube ( I used a welded mount myself) the rest of the build went pretty normal I thought. Hopefully now that you went through all that trouble, you'll finally get to enjoy it, they do ride nice.. 🚴♂🚴♂
What about the throttle where the cable goes, that white/clear piece of plastic that turns inside of the handle? -- Love your videos!
If you're asking if you can put a drop or two of oil on, you're throttle assembly plastic where the cable rides the answer is yes. I definitely put a couple drops where the cable rides in the plastic, I also put a couple drops on my throttle & clutch cable & let it run down the inside of the cables before I hook them up, I say anything that rides of slides repetitively a couple drops of oil never hurts.. 🚴♂🚴♂

Thanks for watching 🙏🙏
They work you had the motor at a bad angle.
That engine is not at a bad angle, I prefer the carb. bowl to sit level when the bike is sitting on the ground, this bike probably had too much chain slack at one time is the main reason the chain jammed up. I'm just not a big fan of those slide in chain guides anyway, I'd rather remove a little material & still have plenty of room in the gear and actuator area.. it's just my personal choice..
how do i know if i have it on or off? And do I always have to hold down the clutch or the bottom where the clutch is holds it down so I don’t have to hold it and it’ll stay idiling?
Bought one off someone myself but don’t have the full manual on what I gotta look for and what to do
Do I have to have the clutch held down at all times? How did you get off it and have it still running? I’m new to owning one
For the life of me I can't get the slack out of my chain I took a link out and got it nice and tight but wasn't able to put the pulley back on so had to add the link back so I repositioned the engine and same thing please help
I understand what you're going through. Every bike for whatever reason is different when it come to this. having said that: there is no one certain spot that it has to be, in the video this tensioner assembly is a little past the middle looking at it from the side view but you can place it a little more to the right ( closer to the sprocket if need be) or move it back ( to the left ) closer toward the tire if the chain in a little tighter. If you're chain has a lot of slack & you need to move it more toward the rear sprocket just be careful that you have good spoke clearance because the closer you move it toward the rear the closer the tensioner gets to the spokes when moving it back.. 👍Lastly when you do find that good spot, drill a small hole through the tensioner bracket & the bikes frame & place a small bolt through it to help ensure that just in case the tensioner tries to move inward to the wheel it can't get into the spokes, I personally use a steel rivet but a small bolt will work also. ( It doesn't have to be a Hugh bolt & nut ) If I can help you any further feel free to ask. 👍👍🚴♂🚴♂
I thought it may have been a little confusing about the drilling & bolting of the tensioner bracket through the frame, so as an example of what I was talking about is in this video link @ 2:03 on the time line and you can see on the bracket where I drilled it & put the steel rivet.. Once again you can use a small bolt, I realized not everyone has a rivet gun lying around.. Here's the link.. th-cam.com/video/iSKPzFdp7Xk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=T4mTbjTyUD_-B_2w
@@EcoTransGaspoweredBikes I'm not having trouble with the tensioner my issue is more with the chain itself I uploaded a video to show and better explain my problem if you could please watch it and tell me what you think is really appreciate it I will comment the link as soon as it's done uploading
@@EcoTransGaspoweredBikes th-cam.com/video/rrEWNgbirnU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fe408If6zSlDYdp4
i just go it on with electrical tape but i am gonna look for a crimp thing cause i have slack on my cable from where the throttle is. it revs high at wot. could be sticking in there.
Just be careful and take you time when doing this because if you squeeze it too much it could pinch the inner steel liner & then it makes your throttle cable not work freely, just squeeze a little at a time, just enough to hold that sleeve in that adjustment nut.. 👍
@@EcoTransGaspoweredBikes v I just used electrical tape for now seems to work just as well.
@@michaelhart5087 If it works and keeps your throttle cable in position I say go with it.. 🚴♂🚴♂
How did that adapter hold up?
This adapter has never given me any problems ever. Right out of the box this thing fits properly & has never ever slipped or come loose & it fits the standard sprocket that comes in your kit so no need to spend the extra money on a CNC Sprocket that only fits its own adapter. I just used this one in the video, but I actually didn't have to file or grind on it, I just used it show how people could fix their cheaper ones to make them work.. I have two of them, ones been on for about 8 yrs now & the other ones going on two years.
@@EcoTransGaspoweredBikes cool thanks. I have the same one and was worried about the threads stripping out. They seem like the best design because their so much wider than the fancy cnc ones. Those cdh power sprockets with a gold chain do look sweet tho
You did so good on this because you talk so clear
Thank You.. 🙏🙏 I hope the video helped you.
How did you get your sprocket on I’m having problems with the coaster brake
You'll have to bore out the center hole of the sprocket to fit over the bearing dust cap on the wheel so it will fit properly & give you the clearance you need to put the brake arm on. If you don't have a way to do that the only other way to make everything work properly is to buy the CNC Sprocket & Hub adapter, that sprocket comes with a much bigger center hole that fits right on there and you won't have to do any extra work to make it fit.
Here is a link to a video I made that might help you better understand what I'm talking about to help you with your rear sprocket problem. I personally bore them out & use this Aluminum Hub Mount; these mounts work perfectly every time from this company (they don't slip on the hub) But if you don't have a way to bore out the center, I highly suggest getting the CNC Sprocket kit that comes with hub mount. I'm not a big fan of those rag joints that come with the kits they are a big problem & will definitely give you chain problems in the future. It is well worth the extra few dollars to not be broke down with chain problems far from home.. I hope this helps you.. th-cam.com/video/SpzfuBuoC2w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=h7jBNKGzwd062cTw
@@EcoTransGaspoweredBikes that video was very helpful thanks
Thanks for all of your help. I haven’t bought a motorized bike yet but I’m interested. My question I’ve been looking at the 4stroke kits it appears that some have 5/8 straight shaft and some have tapered. From what I can tell straight shafts are harder to find clutches for them. I’m I correct about that?
I don't believe so.. They are pretty easy to find, go-karts & Mini bikes use them so they are generally easy to find.
I’m looking into buying a bike and motor but I first need to know what I’m getting into. You are a great teacher thanks
Thanks for the compliment.. 🙏If you are tired of pedaling then these bikes are your most cost-effective way of getting around. My best advice on having a trouble-free reliable experience with these bikes is to leave them stock & not build them for speed. Bikes were not designed to be ridden 30 + mph. riding them at high speed just kills the wheel bearings & will have you buying new rear wheels more than you need to & it gets costly after awhile. I'm a stock bike rider myself & I have over 15,000 trouble free miles on mine & I never have any problems out on the rode because I ride it like it was intended. My second piece of advice is don't buy a used one, in all my years of building & selling new ones, most people that are selling their bikes know there is something going wrong with it & they are usually trying to get a few bucks out of them so they can put that money towards getting themselves a new one. If they use the phrase ( All it needs to run again is.!!!) That's a Hugh RedFlag..!! Nobody parks or sells their bike over a $4.00 part. I hope some of this advice helps... 🙏🙏 In closing, go ahead & get one because they are fun to ride, inexpensive to operate & you get about 40 miles per tank of fuel so you can get some errands done a lot faster than pedaling everywhere you go. Good luck & enjoy.. 🚴♂🚴♂
P.S. If you scroll through my page I have some step by step videos to help you build it.. 👍👍
Happened to me once going 30mph.... Let me tell you that you never fully recover and that's now always in the back of my mind when riding... Be safe brothers and sisters
I've been lucky all these years & have never had that happen. I can imagine that's got to be one hell of an experience when it happens.. 😲😲
Where's your brakes?
This bike has coaster brakes, you pedal backwards to apply them..
How did you machine the sprocket
I use a Lathe, but you can use a hole saw with a drill.
The motor is decent, but the transmission is garbage. Will wear out fast.
I agree with what you're saying, these transmissions aren't the best quality.. Although I'll have to say I'm on my second year with this one & it's still holding in there.. 🚴♂🚴♂
Also try a stronger spring or double it.
The standard idler pulley is a danger. If you use it you drill a tiny hole into the frame so it won't rotate into your spokes. If I use them, I use a skateboard wheel. I Machine it with a screwdriver and drill. Plus, the skateboard wheel has better bearings.
100 cc 4 stroke would be better? Use a rear sprocket with more teeth. More fun 😊
Yes, changing the whole thing is probably a better idea, unless you want to feel the satisfaction of using an engine completely rebuilt by yourself. Where I am at there's a shop that sells only the engine, which is super nice. Just get it, swap the broken one out, and you can get back to riding in less than half an hour.
that seat angle looks super uncomfortable
It is & I just had to ride it for a test, I don't know how they ride it like that.
I am curious how the inside looks, whats worn out the most, whats worn out the least. Would be useful info on what i can expect in the future.
That would have been a great idea for a video, I've done cylinders & bad pistons but never a complete inspection of a completely worn out engine.. I usually just fix or replace the problem & move on, now I wish I would have asked to keep the old engine. 😢😢Summer is just getting here so I'll probably see another one this spring sometime & then I'll do just that.. 👍👍
Nicely done. Now do GM 5.3LS, lifters $2.2k or overhaul $5k😀
I've been a Chevy guy my whole life but when they started doing the lifter claps thing & engine turning off at every inter-section thing, I bought my first Ford that didn't do all that crap & so far I'm glad I did. Before I bought it, I noticed that all my friends' shops had a large number of Chevys there all for the same thing (bad lifters & cams) so that helped with my decision. Then I noticed an awful lot of chevy trucks at car dealers for sale compared to Ford & even Dodge, so I took a shot on a Ford.. 🤷♂🤷♂If this is happening to you, you have my sympathy, a guy tries to get something nice & then this.. 😭😭
2 stroke engine better anyway…
Everybody likes what they like 🤷♂🤷♂. I have both, the 2 stroke & a 4-Stroke & I'll have to admit I lean more towards the 4-stroke side.. Less mess, other than a couple oil changes a year & I can stop at any gas station to get gas & don't have to mix anything, also it's a little quieter to ride. 🚴♂🚴♂
How do you stop that going 30 mph, don’t see any brakes…
This bike has a coaster brake in the rear wheel.. Most people don't ride them that fast & the coaster brake works just fine, but if you are going to be riding one that fast it's a good idea to upgrade the brake system by adding some caliper brakes or going with a disc brake set up..
@@EcoTransGaspoweredBikesawesome thanks , I have the F-Zero BBR now , but I’d like to do a cruiser been looking at this Hyper looks like a good candidate. I have an extra set of 26” disc brake spoke wheels should go right on that bike…
@@rcadventures4342 This bike isn't a bad choice if you're thinking about putting another on together, it's comfortable to ride.. 🚴♂🚴♂
I bought 2. Tried second cdi. Other magnito. No matter what no go. Not even a puff or an sound of it trying
Mine wont start out of box. Has fuel air. Seems to have good compression. Spark is blue but thin. Any tips?
I too have had this happen in the past 🤬🤬. I spent hrs. checking it over, checked the bore even thought it had compression I just wanted to know if the cylinder was bored correctly, then I checked all the bolts to make sure there were no air leaks ( best you can tell without it running anyway) & I too had spark & fuel.. That thing by all accounts should have been riding up & down the road..!!! Still nothing..!! I even gave it a little shot of starting fluid & not so much as even a pop.. Then I checked the real timing ( key way for crankshaft) & discovered it wasn't machined in the right spot so it wasn't firing in the cylinder @ the right position.. There's nothing you can do about factory error like that so I sent that engine back & the next engine they sent worked just like it should, you may be having the same problem.. 😭😭If you too have tried everything & still get nothing, I know it's frustrating but contact your dealer & exchange it & save yourself all the stress..
can u use crisco to grease magneto? and chain
No need to grease the magneto but if you grease the chain with Crisco it will smell like fried chicken. 😁😁
