People said that they didn't like Crown's show this year, as it wasn't the "brass filled" show that Crown usually has with big hits, and intense moments. As well, people have said it just didn't look that good, but I thought this show was awesome, and one of my favorites from this year. I love Crown, and I thought this was a nice change of pace, to include more percussion than usual, and I thought it turned out really well. Can't wait to see next year's show! Congrats on a great year Crown!
10:18 really shows how much fun the 2nd bass drum is having during this performance. The smile on his face really shows how much he loves performing this show and it really brightens my day to think about how much fun he must have had during this show
great job guys! These give so much insight to the performers perspective and they add to the show so much! I enjoy these videos sometimes more than actual multicams from shows! Keep it up!
The opener is pretty eh but the ballad and closer are lit but because of this I think this is why this show stayed at 4th for a majority of the season. Great job crown!
I'm still in high school currently and I just love watching these people play their heart out. Makes me want to be like them. Also, my school just bought the gold vibe they are using in here so I'm kinda fan guying out.
3:53 This is where the bottom drops out, visually. When the audience realizes there's no story, no pattern, no through line, no central focus, no thematic argument.
thats how their show has been the last two years... I think they are trying to win without telling a good story and just focus on the music. Last years show was like how much can we stray away from the generic dci shows and make our own.
That's like saying we wanted to produce a million dollar film, but there's no pattern, no main character, no story-- a complete new take on film. (In the background, you see the producer sneaking away with a bag of money.) Or like saying, we're holding a dance concert but it doesn't have a title and it's not about anything. Or like saying we produced an opera, but the curtain never goes up, it's all behind the curtain. That's practically 501c3 fraud. Even Dance Moms has a thematic argument, for Krapp's sake.
You're so fucking dumb. We're way past that story bullshit. Concept shows are welcome. But this wasn't a concept. It was a half-baked crackpot souffle that sickened everyone in the school. Joe Jaxson Crown tunes to 442 Hz instead of 440 to account for the effects of heat on intonation. You’re hearing correctly, but they do it intentionally. It’s one of many reasons why they sound the way they do.
I go to AHS (where this is filmed) and we got to go out yesterday during band class to watch them preform their 2019 show. From the bit that I saw so far I like it better than this one.
1.On the shoulders of giants 2 Destination moon 2 very good British brass band composition by Paul Raphael (Philip Harper) and Peter Graham. If you are a marching band player please listen to the original performances for a British style brass band first.
Setsuna Seiei they will stay up as long as vic firth wants them to. This video was filmed and produced by vic firth, so Flo doesn't really have a say in it

When they said
“BOOOOOO WUPWUPWUPWUP BOOOO WUPWUPWUP WUPWUPWUPWUP”
i felt that
For real though
I love how I knew exactly what part you meant
Same bro, same bro
i swear there is not a single dci video you have not commented on
Seems DCI should hire Vic Firth to record finals.
well they hired some good production people Tom are you listening? Tha ist what happens when you continue to use sports guys who never marched
Yeah maybe we’d actually be able to see the formations

for real, the drumline and front ensemble kicked ass for this show, it was def a nice change of pace

If they are to be released as a catalog item. My guess would be winter NAMM in January.
My guess would be wgi finals or winter namm if they were realesed, that is assuming if they dont really have more revisions

It sounds like they were holding back on a lot of the loud parts, my guess is they had a show coming up and were trying to save chops
yeah, I'm pretty sure this was during finals week
