The Mezzo Soprano range is divided into 3 categories: Lyric (cannot reach the highest point of Mezzo; is known for its ability to bring tears), Dramatic (is lower than Lyric but is strong, rich and powerful) and the Coloratura (extends highest as it is able to reach a Soprano C6, though if possible should be avoided as it could harm the voice). Not all Mezzo Sopranos are able to go as high as the last note in this video, but can certainly appear intimidating in the lower range. I hope this helps.
Yeah, I can see some of singer. But I myself can go down to C#3 but the highest note is just F5/F#5 but that note is my head voice, my falsetto is just up to E5. Some people said I'am an alto but my relaxing range is more like a mezzo. And after a month later, they said I'm definately a mezzo.
I’m a male but I’m in choir and I’m a soprano 2 my lowest note is A3 and highest is A5 mix and B5 and C6 head voice but I can minipulate my voice to do head voice at like G5
Can't hit that last note on the mezzo without straining/breaking, but I can do the rest, while also covering the entire contralto range. I guess that's good?
If it's just one note, then find a great vocal teacher to help you support your upper register and practice the scales and you will hear and notice a big difference in your voice in tone and range within one year's time.

Are you s male? Because if you are , you are most definitely a tenor. Now what kind of tenor is the question. If you can sing an A#5 , that's pretty high in falsetto. However, even Lyric Tenors can sing that high in their falsetto. So I couldn't say if you are a Countertenor without hearing where your voice lies within your fach. I suggest to find a vocal teacher, like everyone else to get the correct vocal classification. 0:47
im kinda weird bc i can sing v low, basically tenor on a decent day and also sing a decent amount of soprano notes (i sing soprano in choir). i feel way more comfortable as a mezzo belter tho lol
Have you tried to get a vocal teacher/ coach to identify your specific vocal fach? Because if you can sing as low as a Contralto and as high as a soprano and your comfort zone is in the Mezzo soprano register, you just might a very unique hybrid voice/range or you might possibly be a Dramatic Mezzo soprano or you might be a rare type of Soprano Assoluta.
If I was a female I would be considered a full lyric soprano or a Spinto. I have always been able to sing in the Mezzo soprano range since I was in my late 20's. I am in my 50' s now and I can still sing every note in this scale and add two more. That came through vocal training and sheer ability and agility to want to sing other vocal fachs and do it well. I was the second soprano in our Gospel group in my 20's. I used my chest, mixed and falsetto voice to achieve certain sounds within a song.

However, if you're planning to do other musical genres and sing solo in those genres, it's always good to practice those notes in your chest voice as well. Think Barbara Streisand!

The lower notes here are easy for me, in both head and chest voice. Is it easy for you to go higher or to go lower than this? I could support a bit lower and because of that, us mezzos are often told to sing the alto part in choir so we don't strain ourselves by going too high. If higher is easier for you than lower, you might be a sop 2?

That is absolutely fine. Most mezzos do not sing those notes in their chest. It's pretty much the standard practice for mezzos who have a more flexible range that extends and transitions to the head voice. If they are able to achieve those notes in their chest or mixed voice and are comfortable doing so in that range, then they are probably a lyric soprano and their head voice would probably be much higher above high C6 and that's anywhere between D6- C8, which puts such a voice in a whole other vocal fach. However, there are some very clever mezzos who have and can sing an A5 in their full chest voice. But, that comes only in certain genres of music such as, Gospel, R& B/ Soul , Comtemporary Jazz and Dance music. Some notable Mezzo soprano singers in those genres are; Dionne Warwick in her 20's and 30's, Aretha Franklin also in her prime, Deborah Cox, Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams and Regina Belle( although , her highest note on recordings is a D6). It is also known that these aforementioned singers can also sing those same notes in their head voice as well, and some, are exellent in their vocal transition from chest to head, such as, Gospel singer Erika Campbell. However, it is up to the singer and what they are trying to achieve.

I was taught in school that for choral singing, it's always in the head.
