Not for everyone. It CAN help, but most nights it just isn't enough. I'm just severely tired the next day, and even if I spend the next day active af and tire my body out I still may not get sleep until 3am (which is 30+ hours of no sleep at this point)

Got told to get sleep study done by going for monitor fitting for 48 hours at cost of a few grand. When I asked what, if any, treatment there is for menopausal insomnia the doc, when pressed, admitted they prescribe hormones with sleep meds that “can sometimes be helpful” and are to be used alongside CBT therapy sessions (that don’t do much other than give the therapist a healthy bank balance).
    I declined it all.

    • @T3n50r
      @T3n50r 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

CBT has helped tremendously for me. Another thing to keep in mind is that for CBT to be effective it needs to be taken seriously by the patient, and following it 100%. Not just 70% and think that's enough. It takes time to rewire your brain through CBT-techniques to a point where hormone or vitamin supplements etc. is not needed. The main reason CBT not being effective from what I've been told is that patients don't go into it fully. To prescribe hormones with sleep meds "can sometimes be useful" is said because it isn't necessarily what works for you but what works for most, sounds like to me it's a step in the right direction to see if that's the solution for you or not.

Last year, I experienced an unexpected side effect after practicing yoga nidra: my focus was incredibly sharp, lasting 24 hours a day. However, this heightened state of awareness came at a cost - I found myself unable to sleep. Determined to resolve this issue, I delved into extensive research on sleep improvement techniques. Through persistent effort and experimentation, I'm pleased to say that I've now mastered the art of achieving restful sleep.
My journey from insomnia to sleep mastery taught me valuable lessons about the delicate balance between mental alertness and relaxation. The experience highlighted the importance of proper sleep hygiene and the powerful impact that mindfulness practices can have on our cognitive functions.

My brother was one of the best guys you could ask for 56 years old suffering silently with sleep apnea, because going to emergency rooms go into the follow up doctors did absolutely nothing to save my brother‘s life! A CPAP, sleep, study, psychiatric drugs for anxiety, that’s all you’re gonna get! No one took action! And they’re not going to!

Hold your horses for a second. You've made 12 posts already.
Let's get something very clear. The emergency room is there to treat conditions that are immediately threatening. Someone with sleep apnoea has a chronic issue. The emergency room is NOT the place to fix that. If someone's airway is blocked, that can try clear it or work around it. It is not the ER staff's job to be ready to babysit your brother or anyone else when they sleep. They stabilise patients, then send them to a ward to be monitored.
People with a chronic issue need a longer assessment to figure out the specific treatment they require. That's why they have sleep studies.
And sure, people have some complications from surgeries. But people also have complications without surgeries, either due to injury, genetics or living an unhealthy lifestyle. Medicine will never be perfect.
Like your late brother, I work in healthcare, previously as a nurse and now as a paramedic. If I am sick, I seek treatment on my time or take time off to seek it. You don't go to work in healthcare to fix yourself - you are helping fix others.
I understand you are probably grieving, but take a breath and slow down with the posts.

… mood, anxiety, ability to function… Please many people are exasperated, seeking help help when there is no help! And if you go into a hospital and you show any of your anxieties or concerns, the first thing they’re gonna do is put you in a psychiatric ward, or prescribe psychotropic drugs. That’s their first response!
Don’t you see what’s going on people! All this mental health funding! The first thing anybody does with this enormous mental health funding is going to put you on a psychotropic drug!
    That is a fact!

And … my brother died of sleep apnea ….. wow suffering….
Hospital did not help …. This is Real!!! People are dying of sleep apnea!!!!
This is the absolute truth! My brother was in the hospital admitted… If he closed his eyes to rest, he would stop breathing! Sleep study?!! You have to act to save these people immediately to keep their airway open! My brother died a few days later at the house , because he could not sleep or he would die! A CPAP does nothing for somebody suffering! Study study study what do you mean save a life!
My brother was 56 years young he was a veteran. He was a blue-collar worker! My brother never should’ve died his airway was the problem. Something was closing up as soon as he fell asleep! Please, by the grace of God…
Stop the studies! Find a way to keep the airway open! Stop the suffering stop the pain, stop the psychiatric drugs to tell people they need to be on psychiatric drugs when they’re trying to tell you, they cannot breathe! This is real!

Hospitals are using patients for the studies not to save their lives! I’m sorry, I know I watch my brother die, and there was no help to be found! Imagine suffering trying to stay awake because you can’t sleep because you have a passageway that is blocking up as soon as you close your eyes to sleep!dead person and you know it my brother knew he was going to die because he couldn’t get help!
