Shiren is the main composer, arranger and programmer for the band. When Shiren couldn't play the guitar Live, the soli and lead work was taken over by Jill on violin, while guitarist Jinya played his own parts.
I went to see Unlucky Morpheus on Fuki’s birthday. They performed this song as well. Unholy Orpheus is absolutely beautiful with more of Jill's violin melodies. She was like a bird set free from a cage, dancing and thrashing her hair with her violin. She is an incredible performer and so captivating. I tend to go see Unlucky Morpheus more than any other band. It is such a lavish experience to see two lead guitarists, a lead violinist, a speed drummer, a solid bassist, and a powerful female voice on the same stage. They are such a musically talented bunch and one of the most underrated bands out there.🤘
6/8 throughout the song, and groups of three bars of 5/8 with one bar of 6/8 at the start and finish. Not the usual for Unlucky Morpheus! Most of their songs are 4/4, but they do switch it up a little some of the time.
This is of course without Fuki, hence I believe the Unholy Orpheus name, with Shiren, the first guitarist (although often he seems to be the second guitarist), so a "he" not a "she" doing the growl vocals. Not sure if this will be a future break off such as Quadratum was without Fuki, just four of the members. They seem to move all around. Jill just seems to play so lightly and emotionally, although we've also seen her practically shred her bow at times. I liked this song, it's a bit different from them. Thx for the reaction!

Yes, they released an other spin-off album (the band is Unholy Orpheus, the album name "What is Death?"), this time with Shiren as the lead vocalist and without Fuki (although she is a guest on 1 track on the album). This is more towards melodic death metal and metalcore instead of the more power metal/speed metal focused sound they do with Unlucky Morpheus. This album was a couple of years in the making. It was supposed to release the same year as Unlucky Morpheus previous album "Evolution" in 2022 and they even released a video back then under Shiren's name for "What is Death?" which is the title track of the album, but for some reason it took until this year to release. I think they are all trying to extend their creative wings a bit. Fuki is doing solo stuff and is going to perform with Doll$boxx again (which is the 2012 Gacharic Spin musicians with her on vocals) and Jill just released a new project called "Tonerico", in which she works together with an other violin player.
Jill has perfect pitch, which is probably helps with learning to play an instrument without frets. I recommend you checking out Jill's Tonerico project (they just released an album) for more violin playing by her. It's Jill and an other violin player with some guest musicians playing a mix of electronica, metal and some of it reminds me of Japanese video game soundtracks (it's either a mix of those or more focused on one of those depending on the track). Really good stuff and somewhat different to what people are used to with Unlucky Morpheus.
