I love the fact that you can hear every instrument clearly. They are very deliberate in the sounds and tones each instrument delivers. Everyone is doing something interesting and unusual, yet it never fails to serve the song. Next-level creativity!
I am not a musician and I don't know much about making music. But jinjer is everything i like in a band. With jinjer i can listen to their music and never be bored. With most bands no matter how good they are after a while you know every song by heart. Jinjer is for me so complex that i never completely know a song. And therefore it never bores.
I like bands who wear their varied influences on their sleeves. In other words not subtle suggestions of influences (such as types of music) but obvious. They can't be put in a genre box that way and having played many kinds of music myself I enjoy that aspect of their music. Vlad plays multiple instruments and since joining has done a lot of the composition for them. I'm sure that helps make the drums and other instruments very cohesive.
Vlad did an interview maybe last year or the year before I think where he explains that he just sets his kit up however he feels comfortable that day. Really the only constant placements he uses are his floor toms which always sit almost directly beside him. They're tuned identical to each other as well. The only other thing he does that is really consistent is that he uses two snare drums. One of them is a piccolo snare and the other I think is a custom deal he gets from Tama
The reason he gave is that he isn't really a drummer, so he doesn't actually worry about whether or not his kit setup makes any sense to anyone but himself because it's only set up for him specifically to use. He's a pianist and guitarist who just HAPPENS to play drums for Jinjer -- he was literally asked to by the band because they couldn't find anyone else local in Ukraine at the time that would take the job. He is really a composer that happened to teach himself to play drums a few years ago so that two bands that needed a drummer had one
Not Frida Kahlo, even though Tati lover her. It is Georgia O'Keefe- look her up and you will see Tati is dressing just like her, down to the hair style.
Hey Bob. Loving this song, they keep getting better and better IMO. Tatiana is representing women from history, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Marie Curie. There is some debate on the painter, could be either Frida Kahlo (Tati is a fan of hers) or Georgia O'Keeffe. The guys are just killing it here. Eugene is still playing Overload basses, but Roman has moved to Jackson guitars, from OD. Finally got a signature guitar. Reminding me of "Vortex" and "Wallflower", from the last album ,with the amount of cleans to start before getting to the harsh. Heard the new album is recorded, no clue when it might come out. A 2nd song is out now, called "Rogue", that one is all harsh vocals.
I’ll have to check that new one out. I think you are right about the Virtex and Wallflower sound. I love Tati’s voice but the other guys are just mind blowing musicians. Wow!
@@hemlock399 Thanks, since I wrote this comment, I saw an interview with Tatiana, and she narrowed it down to either January of February, but that's all she would give.
Eugene and Vlad recently did a drum and bass playthrough of this song. Recorded apparently while 15 of us were waiting to get in to the Ogden Theater in Denver for the VIP meet and greet event. As well as you can hear the bass and drums in this recording that one really shows you the details.
I’m not a big Jinjer fan, but the tempo changes and musicianship was quite good! They didn’t overdo the growling, just an appropriate amount for my taste. I didn’t really hear the bass drum that much but the toms were really clean!
Wildly enough this song is the only song of the newest three they have revealed that has any clean singing vocals at all in them. Rogue (newest release) and Fast Draw are pretty much balls to the wall from start to finish
Then again, Rogue is written to Vladimir Putin so you can imagine, it's not very "Kumbayah let's all sit around the campfire and eat s'mores" (this band is from Eastern Ukraine)
For me Jinjer is Tatiana. Love her voice from the first song i heard. Do not like all their songs but the band is great. Not a band for me to watch live. Love this song. Thanks for this reaction.

For sure Robert.
Saw them last night in Toronto. (Sept. 23) They were great. They shine in their life performances.
Nice
I like the versatility and blending of different styles most.
If we're here, we love it and all of it.

They are pretty awesome Peter.
Amazing band, amazing song 👍🎸🎵
This should win Metal record of the year Grammy. Holy moly
It’s incredible for sure.
It's the versatility

Great comments! I can tell you know what you are talking about. Thanks for watching!
Vlad does have jazz in his background, possibly also explaining his kit setup the way it is.
There’s no doubt Chris. You can hear it.

Great song, the more I listen to it, the more I like it! 🤘🤘
So awesome!
Cleopatra, Marie Curie, Joan of Arc, Frida Kahlo
Jinjer - Audiotree From Nothing (Live Performance)
Jinjer - Call Me A Symbol (Official Live in LA)

Super!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roman is soooo underrated.
Just saw them Sunday night

Nice that sounds awesome. I can only imagine how awesome that show had to be. They are really amazing musicians.

I think the thing that just gets me with them is how interesting the music sounds together. They are incredible musicians. So tight.
@@bobcieslinski They definitely play their genre extremely well!
@@guygourley2411 they sure do
