Awesome video
There really cool! Plus love the terriers and wintons relationship! They're a really good relationship and I think it's gonna be great for their children!
I honestly didn’t even catch that Pretzel says “mums” the first time because I was upset his guinea pig was lost 😂
Omg, in the Disney + version they have it in the captions as "mom's" or "mum's" which doesn't make sense grammatically, and Disney deeeefinitely is covering the 🏳️🌈 so that adds more confusion.
Bro same!!!!
Me too
Same, poor guinea pig.

@@aussiegirlmargiethat would be really crazy
@@aussiegirlmargie Probably shouldn't. They'd probably have to nail down why they divorced. Might be better to leave that to imagination.
I do hope we get to see an episode of adjustment for Winton and the Terriers (and hopefully learn the Terriers names?). I imagine it will be a much bigger shift for Winton, as it is one thing to have friends at school, but a whole different experience to live with those friends. He's also going from being an only child to having three siblings his own age. That's a lot.
@@voyagerkat22the terriers names are Dan, Joe, and Adam, named after the creator of the Bluey, Joe Brumm, and his brothers. I forgot who is who.

Did anyone else notice that two of the terriers looked to be empathizing with Winton while the other terrier looked more upbeat like he somehow knew more about how his mom felt about Winton's dad than the other two?
So we’ve seen lbtq parents, mixed families, stereotypical families, single mums, what I think Bluey needs to add is single Dads, but not like Winston's dad, like the Mandolorian kind if single dad.

Mandolorian is not single he has the biker scout to help him with baby grogu

question: how tf do lgbtq people get pregnant 💀
I worked in a preschool sometime ago, and one day during lunch I was sitting with the kids (we did lunch family style) and I was helping a kid open his snack. And I said something along the lines of "oh did mommy and daddy get you this?" and a little girl sitting next to the boy corrected me and went "he doesn't have a daddy, he has two mommies'. I just went "oh sorry did your mommies get you this?". He lit up and said their names were ma and mommy. Nothing weird, awkward and it was sweet the students (who were preschool kids) corrected me. We went along our lives and it was just a moment showing young kids can be so kind to different families.

It’s not homophobia. I’m transsexual and don’t want this stuff pushed on kids. Keep Bluey wholesome for kids!
@@aa-sq7rp Nothing's being pushed onto kids. It's no more "pushing" to have a gay character in a kid's show than it is to have a straight character in a kid's show unless you're saying gay people are somehow different than straight people.
@@aa-sq7rp how is it "pushing" it in kids to say "i have two moms"
Imo if yall hate this, yall should hate it when straight couples are mentioned too. Like why not have this reaction when a character says "my mom and dad"? Theres zero difference. Me and a few friends watched the special a few times and one of them noticed that Trixie and Stripe look like they are arguing throughout the special. Like when Frisky first try to talk to Radley on the phone, you see Trix and Stripe talking in the back and both are looking annoyed.
Then at the wedding, you see Socks playing with the bride & groom top of cake and you see Trix and Stripe looking annoyed again with Trix walking away this time. Next thing you know, you see Stripe coming out of Wendy's bushes. We thought that they had a big fight so Stripe got drunk so much so that Trix left him there overnight...
Just a new theory we thought of.

I love that the Terrier’s and Winston’s Mum and Dad finally get together. I love how we got to see that relationship pan out.
I honestly think the Pretzel "Mums" line was a bit too quick for me to even catching (I was more stunned by Rusty just so blatantly saying, "It probably got eaten by a snake"; I love Rusty but that was like DUDE!!!).
I definitely loved the reveal of Winton's dad selling his house. It's pretty funny watching TV SHOP now and realizing how much Winton and the terriers are alike (they're both wildly active and love the dancing)

I feel like a kid who's adopted would be interesting in the show. I never understood the logic behind the “don’t say gay” movement. Are children with two moms/dads just supposed to shut up and let the kids with straight parents talk? Or is it just like Stan in that episode of American Dad where they want to take kids from their gay parents and put them in straight households with parents they don’t know and who don’t know their needs?
Sadly, that is probably their logic tbh
While for now current laws in the USA protect kids of gay parents, there have been some cases of kids being taken away from trans parents, and current laws are being proposed to take lgbt kids away from supportive parents.
hello bisexual man here and Actually, the don't say gay bill is really called the parental rights bill and it banned sexuality from being taught to kids k-3
This ALSO included STRAIGHT sexuality as well but you don't really hear straight ppl really caring. Seriously if a kid were to ask a teacher where do babies come from should they automatically start explaining reproductive stuff to a 3rd grader? Here's what I would say ,"you'll find out when you're older." Same for when a student were to ask me, what about two moms and two dads, I'll say "you'll find out when you're older. Ofc people always blow it out of proportion. :/
@@therandom_dude god forbid children know these degenerates exist!
@@therandom_dude The bill is so vague and poorly written however that it opens parents up to sue teachers and schools for lgbt content 4-12 as well, and has happened repeatedly. Just one example was a teacher showed the Disney film Strange world that is rated for ages 5+ to her middle school class, but because one of the main characters is gay she received months of harassment, threats of legal action, and risks of her employment all because of that law. AND SHE WAS LUCKY, as most have not been. Also if a 10 year old asks how a baby is made you don't have to give them specific details about sex acts, but you should also not tell them nothing or lie, at age 7 my parents told me that a baby is made when two cells from mom and dad collide and implant in moms stomach and that was completely appropriate and understandable.
It always annoys me when homophobia people get angry when shows even acknowledge that non-hetro people exist
Their “justification” for their hate is that being non-hetro is immoral yet they don’t have a problem with kids shows tackle topics of parents who are in jail, thus showing their hypocrisy

In the American subtitles it says “My mom’s” doesn’t even make sense and I don’t understand why they are trying to hide it. The American subtitles are one of my pet peeves, anyway. They always bounce back between “Mom” and the correct “Mum”
I wonder if they're autogenerated...if not they need to pay their subtitlers better or something!
I know its heard to write the prual of mum or mom without it autocorrecting with a 's in a document or a comment.
Agreed, normalization of diffrent families in this manner begins with the media accepting it, not the people yet. Ultimately Disney decides on subtitles, and trying to Americanize an Australian TV Show with subtitle changes like that (Do they really think kids will care that much in a diffrence between Mum and Mom??) is very reminiscent of microagressions
Aussie here. I missed Pretzel's plural until I saw this video. And I think it's great! They just put it in there as a "usual" part of life, which it is. :)
I also missed that it was Winton's dad's house on first viewing. And now it makes me so happy. Winton's dad and the terrier's mum! Woohoo!
also for mixed breeds, frisky is an english spaniel :) and radley a heeler so even the main focus couple of the episode are mixed breed, but putting that aside the sign was such an amazing episode and not going to lied cried through like all of it, mostly good tears. this show is so good at hitting in the feels, and I really liked the farmer story too and how it plays into the episode! Sad Brandy wasn't in it much, but I assume the next episode will be featuring her. I really loved the ending too, I literally was in tears as the song played! And I didn't even piece together the house agent was the guy Bandit mentioned before! I saw that on reddit and omg so true!
This episode was the greatest so far. My cousin and her wife called me and said I had to watch. I had it programmed in my dvr about 2 weeks ago.this will be a frequently watched episode. Thanks for all your reviews.
it was brilliant! thank you so much for commenting as well!
It's not like they took Bandit and made him gay or make a big deal out of it and shoved it in your face. It was quietly put in their and it felt nice and natural, as it should be. It shouldn't matter, just like it doesn't matter that Jack is neurodivergent, he just is and he isn't forced, he fits perfectly in and it's just natural.
Cornelius deserved love and I am so happy that he got it. It and Brandy finally having a child of her own fits into that idea of everything eventually being OK in the end.
I really liked the fact that Winton and the terriers will become stepbrothers and there is a chance we will see an episode about it
As for the two mums things(inhale....)
IT IS NOT OKAY TO CALL SOMETHING A SLANG WITHOUT CONFORMATION
AND WHY ARE THEY MAKING A BIG DEAL OUT OF THIS
AND SERIOUSLY WILL KIDS REALLY MAKE A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT LET ALONE PARENTS
Anyway, I love the video and congrats on 150k
Also, love the mixed breeds by the way
Its important because up until now Bluey has not had any lgbt parents, and so for the very first couple to be written off as "its just slang, no gay here" just shows how people still don't see an lgbt family as just as normal and health as a cis-straight family.
I caught Pretzel saying "mums" the first time and was very happy to hear that, and the kids were perfectly fine with his 2 mums.
I also like the idea of mixed race/breed families in Bluey. As someone in the LGBTQ community 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ and in a relationship with someone of a different race, it makes me happy to see shows that cover these kinds of topics in a positive manner.
You need to explore the fact Stripe might be an alcoholic.
I agree. His and Trixie's arguing, and Muffin's screeching and angry demands are evidently stressing out poor little Socks.

I absolutely loved the sign episode, and your whatch-along party was the best. Thanks so much for all these vids❤️
Don't know how long it's been changed, but I saw the other day that the censored scene in Housework was fixed, where Bandit says, "Ow, my groin!" and Chili tried to do the Beeyop walk and fell in his arms. It's fixed and fully there on Disney+ now
No matter what I love bluey no amount of homophobia can ruin it
0:41 I love the " this place smells like grandmaaaa"
Thus implying the Terriers' granny takes a lot of medication.
I noticed pretzels mums immediately and it made me so happy. Especially how none of the other pups even bat an eyelid - because they implicitly accept his family!
I’ve seen a lot of people criticize the episode for its message. But I think it’s lack of media literacy… and cynicism. One parent said on IMDB it teaches her kid that everything will be ok if you wish hard enough. But Bluey’s happy ending (and Winton’s and the Terriers’ while we’re at it) all have reasons to exist and are all tied together.
When Bandit pulls the sign out after his call with the Realtor we can put two and two together. Sometimes life will give us happy endings, the message of “Everything will work out.” Isn’t saying “Hey kids! Just keep being whiny and your life will be happy.” No. It’s not even close. Anyway don’t know what this has to do with the video but either way great vid!
To be honest, when Pretzel said that, I didn’t even notice. I must’ve normalized it so much that i didn’t notice. I love the representation, and from an underutilized character.
I love the idea of this in bluey! It teaches kids about diversity in families!
yup! and that its just life, some people have two mums and thats ok
Woho! We finally get some LGBTQIA+ representation in Bluey!
Got a little mad about hearing the homophobic comments on Pretzel's Moms. Stop shameing my boy pretzel!
I'm not Lgbt but I respect the community and I'm not homophobic towards the community. Tbh , I'm actually happy for the two mums =)
The part of winton's dad and the terrier's mom was very lovely and emotional 😭❤❤
people who say it's "pushing it" on kids make me very sad. I'm an LGBT adult. I was once an LGBT child, and because my parents held the same mindset and kept me sheltered away from the diversity in the world, I only felt more confused and negative towards myself and other people at first. I had to unlearn the behavior my parents taught me and I'm still struggling to accept myself as an adult. If I had been shown acceptance as a child and shown that diversity is okay, I would have been a happier kid and a happier adult now. This kind of representation is so very important for so many reasons.
I am 22 yrs old, from America and bluey is in my top three favorite shows ever i love what they are doing with it and nothing can ruin that
Hope in the Future we see Winston and Terriers in the own episode spot like like step Brothers

And I love the fact that we have lgbtq in blueyy, or maybe it's no but like most ppl i also didn't hear 'mums' the first time❤ , it's getting soo diverse from this episode. Like margie said that first bluey used to lack of diversity and like the mix breeds❤❤❤
And the fact that Winton says his dad is now lonely and one of the terriers say their mum likes him , and speaking of the terriors , I hope they give out like each one of their names too
I love your videos so much they’re so good and they’re really fun and you do so well doing them good job ❤😊

I didn't even notice that Pretzel said "mums" in the plural lmao because sometimes I struggle to understand tiny human speak. or if I did catch it I think I thought it was tiny human speak, since tiny humans tend to misspeak and will pluralise words when they don't mean to? But I choose to just believe the simple answer that Pretzel just is raised by two women. Possibly even perhaps by a transwoman and her partner.
Now Winton can find out if his new step brothers are gluten-free. ^_^
I didn't notice Pretzel's comment on my first time watching either since my brother was being kinda noisy and I watched the episode as it premiered on Disney Junior without captions. I knew I should've re-watched it on Disney+ lmao. Honestly, knowing that lgbt+ couples are canon in Bluey does make me extremely happy and seeing all the blended families made me happy too. I really hope we get some stepbrother shenanigans in season 4.

Can you please make a video about Bucky? I have a theory. We know Bucky from “The Sign” is the retailer for Bluey’s house, but this isn’t the first mention of him. In the episode “Dragon”, Bluey casts a memory spell on Bandit. We go to his memory, and he talks about his love for drawing cars. Then, we get mentioned about his bully Bucky, and Bandit states “I think he’s a retailer”. What if, Bucky was the same person. I think that would explain the nicknames and slang, also explains Bandits straight face while talking to him.
it definitely is! I just watched the episode because I was curious. Bucky Dustin is the name in both. Good catch!
i swear Bucky is probably a narcissist
(and also the only character who's surname is not his breed's name)
I think this was already a confirmed thing through the Australian promo material. It might’ve been a short, but margie already discussed it
I got a question what is the Bluey season 3 finale is it the sign or will it be surprise. Lastly if you search up on google when will the episode surprise air it says April 21 is that true.

I knew pretzel’s mums were going to get backlash, but it still makes me roll my eyes. Bluey has always been good at showing the reality of life and being a parent. Some kids have ADHD, some are deaf, some use wheelchairs, some have divorced parents, some have parents who don’t look like them (mixed race or adoption or step family).
And despite what homophones think, lots of kids have same sex parents. That’s reality. It’s not pushing “wokeness “ or “the rainbow mafias agenda” It’s simply showing that these types of families exist, and if that acknowledgement of reality ruins the show for you? Then you need a reality check. Bluey is a reflection of REAL LIFE, REAL FAMILY dynamics. I had a friend in high school with two moms, and one of them was deaf. Put that in a show about kids and people would whine about it being “woke” and “unrealistic” and “unnecessary”. But it’s reality, and don’t kids deserve to see themselves in the media they consume?
When I Watched It Yesterday I Thought It Just Said Mom,I Completely Didn’t Notice,That’s So Cute And Wholesome :) My Mom Laughed When The Terriers Said “Our Mom Likes Your Dad” Bc She Doesn’t Know The Context 😭
Honest I was just laughing about rusty yelling "A SNAKE PROBABLY ATE HIM"
I didn’t catch the fact that pretzel said “mums”! I thought he said “mum”! That’s pretty cool though (I had subtitles on too, and it still didn’t catch it lol)
even if pretzel is just briefly mentioning his moms this is huge!! nice to see this in a kids show
such a great way to start including all family types
Right, it kinda cute to see it
Unless you’re trying to raise moral children
@@hrdkorebpit’s just someone not having the nuclear family structure?
It’s not that huge. This is why people claim this stuff is being pushed on kids.
Omg I was waiting for this video ❤
America 🇺🇸
Fox news: two moms!!! 😡
Daily wire: what about family values
Australia: sounds good 👍🏻
I love your videos! ❤😊! And did you cry during the sign? 😢
i cried twice!
Same!
I'm really happy that there may be representation of the lgbtq community in bluey! As a member myself it's heartwarming to see kinds in childrens shows don't act weird about having two moms, it's really amazing to get this kind of representation.
“This is an Australian show so this is what we consider cannon.” BRAVA!!! Well said! 🎉
I have mixed feelings when it comes to Pretzel having two moms and therefore there being LGBTQIA+ representation in the show.
On one hand, I'm super happy they are representing LGBTQIA+ people, but on the other hand I'm sad because my parents won't let my siblings watch Bluey anymore if the LGBTQIA+ stuff becomes any more prominent. I'm also sad that such a small thing will make people start to hate on this show. I've seen it all before. Why can't we all just accept that some people feel differently? Members of the LGBTQIA+ community are still people, and pretty great people at that, from what I've seen
Ecactly. :)
I don’t care what the subtitle say. The fact that Disney+ left it in and didn’t cut it out is amazing in itself. I don’t care if it’s considered “too fast to notice”. I believe in baby steps and it’s a step in the right direction. I don’t care what anyone says. Lol i stand by it.
I hope im not the only one who started genuinely crying over this episode.
My caption said "mom's." My first time watching it was at work. Lucky for me, business was so slow that we did all of the required tasks.
ABC iView caption said it without the apostrophe
@@tranatkikomi6873 Well, I live in the US, and this was Disney+, so....
@@TyCat7 Disney has a history of homophobia, and while it is getting better not all parts are. She watched it where it officially aired in Australia and there it says mums, but on disney+ which is not the official airing location it says mum's.
@@rosieg6989 I understand that. However, she also requested feedback from other countries, so I am just providing that information.
I LOVE YOU MARGIEEE❤❤
Yes,I heard pretzel talk about his moms in the episode,I had to rewind it to make sure,i heard correctly and my heart melted. I'm, myself is are from America and also LGBT. I'm so glad they are putting it in bluey as well, showing different kids having different family types.
And I cried when I saw Winston's dad was selling his house and saw the kids together in the car.❤
I see everyone going back and forth in comment sections for this episode as a whole (not just this thread, this just happened to be the one I decided to comment on because it's more chill here haha) and I am kinda surprised I keep seeing people bringing up points of "well if x hadn't done y, then z wouldn't have happened, therefore A is the true unsung hero of this story--" and some are getting pretty heated about it?? (Again not here.) And while I can appreciate the passion, their feelings are certainly fair, and I do enjoy characters who could use a spotlight finally having those moments and details called out--it's when assigning importance only to that, that I feel the need to spell out the thesis of the episode (as best I know how to describe it. I'm not proficient at this sort of thing.)
We're all connected in a myriad of ways. It's not any one person, event, or thing, that shapes us; it's everything and our unique perspectives that determine our paths and outlooks. It makes us special, yes, but not more or less-so than anyone else (or outside our own circles.)
This is why I as a person don't believe in "luck." As in my understanding; what we call luck is merely unknown cause and effect borne from the invisible threads that bind all life on this planet and our shared history. It's not some magical force (although I would love to be proven wrong) or something to be attributed with any sense of morality.
From the flap of a butterfly's wing, saved by Bingo and her friend) influencing Chili to stop the car (and even us being touched by the show) and so-on-and-so-forth, the most seemingly insignificant things can and will change everything, eventually. So above all else, however difficult it may be at times choosing kindness matters as it can make all the difference in the world.
Sorry if this sounds cliched or cheesy. May anyone who decided to read this ramble be well. (I apologize if it is nonsense I am exhaysted) And if you haven't heard it in a while (or even if you have,) even from a stranger; I love you, take care.
The subtitles for the disney plus version for America says "mom's" instead of "mums" (singular with an apostrophe) I'm not sure if that's intention censoring or just a mistake
2:58 Can confirm in the danish version, he says “mothers”
I heard Pretzel say "Mums" and I live in USA.
could have been mom's as they both pronounced the same.
MARGIE! I was just watching one of ur older vids and u said something about an episode”the surprise”
When is that coming out or is it out and I just looked over it on Disney? Tysm! ❤
According to IMDb April 21, 2024.
@@tratanlightbreaker6029 thank u!
Hey I wanted to put this out there, I don't know if in the footage you showed your using a VPN or something but I live in America using no VPN and the subtitles actually say "mom's" not "moms". I actually remember double checking when first watching the episode. So theres that. I'm happy that the conical is it's supposed to be mums!!!!!!!!!!
She's using a vpn to watch on ibc iview and use Dinsey+ do probably for other shows as she has kidas.
ngl I kind of wish that the Heelers moved I feel like it would be a fun adventure
