5 outta 5 for sure. Its my favorite episode. The granny put is so cute & funny! And I love the interaction with Muffin.
5/5
@@cdfranklin1599 best intereaction i think ive seen i was laughing the whole time
@@aussiegirlmargie Heya Margie! First of all I wanna say that Muffin is a freaking legend as she reminds me of my cousin and in this episode Doreen kinda reminds me of my nan! But really I was trying to ask you what your favourite part of my fan made episode was?
5/5 My favorite part is when Muffin becomes a granny!
I feel like 'cattle dog' is more classist than racist. It gives me the same vibe as calling someone 'trailer trash'
Yeah or like white trash or ghetto
Yeah i agree
I mean, it would make sense that the granny would see herself a higher class then them as pugs were bred for royals meanwhile cattle dogs were for well.. cattle
Which is almost a little weird, given how expensive the Heelers' house probably is, and how much stuff they have lol. Maybe it was a racist AND classist assumption that they'd be poor because of their breed. 🤔
Or I'm just overthinking the implied lore of systemic oppression in a kids show lmao.
Chilli being called cattle dog felt both racist and sorta classist, like how people insult farmers? Idk, maybe
Despite Her Former Last Name Was CATTLE
She IS a cattle dog. If someone called Pat a Retriever would that be racist?
Plus her last name before marriage was Cattle
@@zuglymonster It's the tone, not the word. It's like how to Aussies "Mate" can be used in a friendly way, or it can be used as an insult. Same with another certain 4 letter word that was most likely what the kids heard when Bandit's lawnmower wouldn't start. If you said my last name with a sneer I'd know for a fact that you were looking down on me.
@@peanutslaughtera bunny can call another bunny cute but when somebody else does it it's a little
Basically that's what I'm thinking is going on with the name
It may be a bit classist since pugs are stereotypically purse dogs for rich people while catttle dogs are usually used on farms
Theory: Pugs were bred by Chinese nobility/emperor as companions maybe she sees herself as uppercrust and wears clothes to show her status (like purse dogs wear clothes) and she sees chili/bandit/Doreen as "working class" breeds
oh i LOVE this idea!!!!
@@aussiegirlmargie I imagine she sees her flat facial features as a work of art 🤣 the mole gives me "old Hollywood starlet" like maybe she is a retired actress or model
@@sunnysidesouffle8348that’s actually sounds like it’d be real
It would explain why she just has 1200 dollars in cash on her.
Especially since both the heelers and Doreen are herding/farm animal protecting dogs, this could actually be pretty canon
The pug calling chilly a cattle dog did come off as a racist/classest line as pugs are a companion pure breed ans cattle dogs while being pure breed too are made for rough jobs like cattle hoarding. Maybe there is breedism in place of raceism in the Blueyverse?
Same/Agreed On This Despite Her Former Last Name Was CATTLE
@@peanutslaughteryeah but her parents would have picked that last name or her grandparents or whoever the hell picked her last name someone in her bloodline that was most likely a blue heeler but that pug isn't a Blue heeler she is a pug
So here's a quote that might help
A bunny can call another bunny cute but when someone else does it it's a little
@@scorchinganimationsstudios8450 omg zootopia yess
@@peanutslaughteryes her name is cattle, but the way the old lady put said it made it come off as rude. She said it in a harsh tone and that is rude. The term. “Cattle dog”. Could be racism or it could just be the old lady pug saying chillis name in a harsh tone.
Actually, Aussie cattle dogs aren’t purebred - they have dingo blood.
A detail I kinda like in Granny Mobile is Muffin's awareness of her own behaviour, specifically thinking grouchy granny being is too grouchy. Compared to episodes like Library (I think it's what it's called) Facey talk, and even muffin cone, where she just does what she wants most of the time and only really becomes aware of her behaviour effecting others near the end of the episode.
As someone who isn't too big of a muffin fan, that bit did make me respect the character a bit more. Like she's actually learning.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Muffin was starting to grow out of her “I could do whatever I want” phase. She seemed to be more reflective and, maybe, self-aware of the fact that it wasn’t the best attitude to be in.
Edit: I’m not much of a Muffin fan either, but she grew on me this episode.
@@allisonlouie1202 Yeah, it seems after her being selfish enough times she has learned to not be too grouchy.
Me too [Not much of a Fan, seemed like the annoying Toddler/comic relief chara to me] Guess they're aging her up [Like Socks is starting to talk]
I found it funny that Muffin was able to out-Karen a real Karen, and in her granny persona no less.
Yeah, which is great because that’s how most little kids and toddlers mature IRL! Some little kids are brats for a little while before they encounter more brain development and can slowly process emotions that were once new to them. Muffin is like a Caillou antithesis- she experiences growth and learning, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she became more emotionally intelligent with age. ^^
I always thought that clothing in the Bluey universe was sort of an optional debate, apart from things like weddings, sports teams, work hours, or personal preference.
SAME
Muffin decided to use her powers for good instead of evil.
Chaotic neutral if I ever seen one
I personally think that yes, the mean pug was using a slur towards chilli because: Chilli is a heeler, and heelers are sort of known to be cattle herding dogs. The pug probably used the term "cattle dog" because she thinks heelers are just cattle dogs used for working.
Same/Agreed To This Despite Her Former Last Name Was CATTLE
Yeah I took it to mean working class whilst the Pug sees itself as better - so a snob.
This was my favorite episode of 3b! The part where Muffin scams $1200+ out of the old woman will always be funny to me! 5/5 Long Dogs
I would say she didn’t scam her but she kinda did because I think a bike is like worth 900 but yes she did scam her and it was really fun because when chill says the loillies were 2 dollars were the best❤❤❤❤
She actually got 1300 cuz dorine never gave back the hundread dollar note
Speaking of which, I wonder if they'll have any "special episodes"?
1.) A sad Mother's Day episode.
2.) An episode where a character calls someone a "mutt" in a mean way.
3.) An episode for Brandy.
4.) An episode about Socks (how/why she went from dog to dog-like).
5.) An episode where someone in Bluey's school calls her a "rainbow baby" and both Bandit and Chili tell her what it means in a way that she would understand (based on her age).
6.) A flashback episode where we find out why Bingo had to stay at the hospital (maybe a reference for the "gluten-free, gluten-not free").
Do u mean to go with onesies?
@@transgenderguineapigguy Yeah. Maybe it'll be like either a continuation/sequel or a prequel, but more of a "Brandy-focused" episode.
With that in mind, I can only imagine Moms For Liberty freaking out about that storyline, claiming it's "too mature" for small children" while choosing to ignore what happened to the budgie in "Copycat".
@@christinalittleton3771 probably
Dragon is the first one
I think why Socks act like a dog is because she’s still a baby. I think in the Bluey universe, you got the baby stage (Bluey from Baby Race), then the puppy stage (walking on all fours and acting like a real puppy) then the toddler/child stage (like how Muffin, Bingo and Bluey behave)
I always imagine being naked in this world is like being in casual outfits, wearing clothes isancy like for a party (bowties, tuxedos, dresses) or uniforms for work. Miss Pug here might just be wearing her sunday best
Well most old people start losing body fat or start feeling more cold so I can understand why they had to put clothes on her from both a practical standpoint on the scranny pug and also the fact that maybe they just didn't know how to animate an old looking dog without making it look too wrinkly gross you know what I mean.
Muffin is a great grouchy granny. Her haggling was spot on.
"So how do you know the Shopper is gay?"
"He sounds gay."
A child accidentally tricked her into buying a scooter for a high price.
That was no accident. Muffin was pretending to be a grouchy granny that out-grouched a real one.
Let’s be honest Muffin would make a pretty good lawyer
Or Crazed Military Dictator.
Or protester.
Or business negotiator
or a marketer
Muffin and muffin, accident claim
Ok, now I've got to know how the Story of Cujo goes in the Blueyverse😂.
you and me both!
It's a regular zombie story now XD
@@rommdan2716cujo wasn't a zombie story to begin with. You're thinking of pet sematary
In case anyone is unfamiliar with Cujo, it's basically about a large dog that becomes rabid and kills a bunch of humans. Considering there are no humans in this world, that's where the confusion comes in.
@@wind_scratch8387 3 humans really but 4 if you count the one that was a result of dehydration
This is one of my favorite new episodes! Muffin is maturing, she didn’t really want to be grumpy granny, at the end she was happy to help bingo pick up the coins. I love it shows muffin growing up!! 5 out of 5 long dogs!🥰
Can we take a second to say rest in peace to Len?😔🕊️
Which one is Len? I’m so confused
@@LeaFelix-dc9zkI think Dorrines husband maybe?
You really saw Muffin at her most chaotic and I loved it. I feel like ‘if you don’t want it, then don’t buy it’ is very good advice
I personally do believe "cattle dog" was intended as a form of racial/species based insult. I know roughly that pugs were bred for their looks, and in some cases to be show dogs, while red and blue heelers were bred to do more farm-like work and jobs. Also: the tone in which the pug said the phrase "cattle dog" implies it, Chili's face that gave "I can't believe you said that to me and in front of a child" implies it, and the fact that the pug is only arguing/talking with Muffin (who is dressed like a granny and has most of her features obscured from the, already naturally poor-sighted, Granny Pug implying the pug likely doesn't realize Muffin is a child instead of just another smaller dog breed like her) and refuses to acknowledge any other dog in the room HEAVILY implies it. Oh, and not to mention, that when I looked up what breed Doreen is it told me that she's a Great Pyrenees, which is a livestock guardian dog. Granny Pug also talks down to her as well, straight up refuses to pay for something she breaks, and threatens to call the council on, not only Doreen but Chili, for only slightly being inconvenienced. Granted those last two of the prior sentence could just be normal Karen-type behavior. (My apologies for this being so long.😅)
I had the same feeling about the Granny Pug in how she spoke to both Bandit and Chili. The way Chili's face looked also seemed like "cattle dog" was inappropriate. But I loved this episode. Muffin is amazing.
Noticed how her muzzle is the smooshed face pug and Buddy is a retro pug?
Muffin just out karened a karen. But for the greater good
"The greater good…" -Hot Fuzz reference
more like a dumbledore reference@@JamesDavy2009
The granny pug might be wearing clothes as stay warming due to her old age weaking her natural body tempture. Like most common senior always wear extra wooly or sweater like vest to be warm even though it pefectly fair weather.
I've always wondered if that scene in Onesies where everyone's sitting in the car tensely waiting for the crazy dog (Bingo) to make itself known might not be a reference to Cujo. It seems someone at Ludo is a fan anyway... an American horror novel did feel a little out of place in Doreen's stack of British Royal fan memorabilia -- but hey, the woman has layers! 😆
Maybe the old pug wearing clothes is a reference to the old joke that old people are always cold so she wears layers. It would also make sense if she was a pug, a breed that does have a history of health problems.
The fact that people have decided the shopper has a gay voice makes me laugh, I guess we just have a different voice then others lol
Even if the character isn’t lgbtq, having the community just act like it’s normal makes me so happy, because it is normal :D
(Lesbian here lol)

i agree! (aroace agender here)
@@BumperChip_ nice! ^^
My queer, disabled self didn't even really notice the voice? The vase and art choice is what's doing it for me. That's gay flea market chic and I love that for him.
@@jamie1602 that also adds to the lil gay bean lol, the vase definitely seems like a choice I would make
It’s interesting to see hints of something that could be racism/speciesism or classism from a character in Bluey, because it hints that the universe of Bluey might not always be as ideal as it seems on the surface (and why it might seem ideal so often is because most of the main cast are little kids/toddlers and most stuff in the show is from their perspective).
If Bluey did age with it’s audience (like MLP, Ben 10, and Harry Potter all did), it’d be interesting to see the universe of Bluey portrayed differently as having more strife and issues with it over time. It just wasn’t seen at first because Bluey and her family and friends were raised well and weren’t exposed to the harshness of the world until they were older.
Some of the dog breeds and their roles mirror real-life development like the Kelpie which was prominently tied to WW2 in australia as a military service dog. So it's safe to assume Bluey is just like real life, viewed from the sheltered perspective of toddlers and caring parents.
I watched this yesterday by myself. Just because muffin as a grumpy granny gives me so much joy!
2:43 wait. What would Cujo even be in this world. Is it like a True Crime Book? How would that plot be changed?
What kind of dog is Stephen King in this world? Is he just a Saint Bernard?
Cujo would be a mad serial killer.
Maybe she wears clothes because she's just one of those older 'people' that is just cold all the time.
I don't take the dogs/clothes things too seriously. They're meant to be people, represented by cartoon dogs with cute dog names. People have laundry and so do they.
This might be my favorite episode. I'm a huge Muffin fan and she was in top form in this ep.
I'm 14 and I live bluey. I'm the oldest of three kids and my sister was born when I was 3. My mom pushed more responsibility into me so I basically didn't have a childhood. Bluey helps me feel young again and basically relive the childhood i never had. I also have really bad anxiety and on my "Depression days" Bluey helps me calm down and smile on my really bad days. I get made fun of alot at school and I hate it.
Now i need to know what dog Stephen King is in the blueyverse
This is my favorite episode in this part of season
it was so good!! i love them showing how great muffin can be
Hi! I would love a theory video about the ash tray and if len smoked and died of lung cancer or not. A sad topic, but I think it would be really interesting. Thanks, Margie!
7:58 I just figure the pug getting older she loosing her fur and is resulting to wearing clothes.
Or
She woke up and decided to dress up.
Or…
She repulsed by public nudity and is rebelling by wearing clothes
the old pug is what we like to call, "a karen"
Yes, thank you! Glad to know I was not the only one who noticed. What I find especially funny was that Muffin as a granny is even more of a Karen, but the only difference was that she used her Karen powers for good, resulting in Doreen gaining 1200 dollabucks from the sale of her late husband's scooter.
It really is a 5/5 Long Dogs episode.
Muffin is hilarious and so much fun.
7:25
heard this part and thought "but wait, cattle dogs originate here" then i realised it sounds like a type of racism we have here.
Another racist term would be "mutt" as it's a real world pejorative term for a mongrel/mixed breed dog.
Staffordshire dogs?
Oh, in Scotland we call those Wally dogs (pronounced like Valley)
Fun enough this episode does give me faith Muffin will get better because the Granny stuff was her "acting" or "pretending." While I think she'll always be spoiled a better attitude would go a long way.
Another great video! Thank you for all the great content margie! Love ya!
5 Long Dogs from me. After watching it I've decided from now on I want Grouchy Granny Muffin to haggle for me.
I liked this episode, I thought it was funny when Doreen was like “no let’s see what happens”. Also completely random but I watched one of your past videos about Bluey and bingo when came to the theory that they can share dreams and stuff like that, I wondered if that idea or concept was inspired by Jim Henson’s Fraggle rock which had a whole episode about how the characters can share dreams. Anyways enjoyed this video excited for the next.
As a 23 year old, I can’t believe that cassette players are not well known within the the later generation, which is honestly kind of sad because that’s how we entertain ourselves minus Saturday cartoons along with Sunday cartoons because most of us were at school at the time of the good cartoons were on
I love love LOVE this episode! My husband and I think that Muffin deserved a bigger cut from selling that scooter, though! 😂
She doesn't need the money though; she's four. Even if she got a quarter to half the cut, what would a four year old do with $300-$600? It's also established that Muffin's parents, Stripe and Trixie, seem to earn more that the Heelers since they live in fancier contemporary house (they have lots of couches) and Muffin has fancier toys than Bluey and Bingo (the catsquad big wheel and the electric kid car).
Despite being better off, they could put it in her education fund. Not every country's school system has basically "free" titution for middle and high school. Japan has fees for high school.
@@hollyputvin917 Australia doesn't have middle school. They have preschool, primary school (elementary and middle combined), high school (both high school tiers combined) and university.
Since Bluey is inhabited by dogs, would Kujo be considered your casual serial killer (like Jason or Micheal Myers) ?
Given that Kujo was rabid, I would hazard a guess that they were one of the mentally deranged serial killers like Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer.
I honestly took it as a breed trait thing, cattle dogs are very notoriously busy bodies who make everything their Business
I brought up the idea that she could be racist in a Discord server and everyone told me I was being stupid… suddenly it’s not such a terrible idea now you’ve made a video with that thumbnail
It's not nice for people to just push aside theories and call them "stupid" but I bet they were just getting sick of the whole "Bingo is secretly Brandy's kid" theories and you ended up getting caught up in the crossfire. Still not cool though.
This is such a cute channel! I’m so happy I found it - subscribing for sure!
Yay! Thank you!
4:53 I was actually thinking the same that his slightly camp voice is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek at a very common stereotype with antique collectors stereotype which is not 100% true as there is plenty of straight people who like collecting antiques
Muffin will always be hilarious ♡ !
I pray the next time someone does a yard sale, they have someone like muffin as the ultimate swindler
Somehow I think that GRANNY PUG needs to apologize to bandit for her body shaming comment towards him.
Could I ask where you got the fleece you're wearing in this? It's adorable!!!
Muffin was such an icon in this episode and I loved it😂
Muffin was definitely the hero of this episode who agrees!
I think cattle dog is considered a slur considering that what heelers mainly do is farm work and cattle ranching.
Not just a breed slur, it's also classist as pugs were purse dogs for the rich. As another commenter pointed out, they were bred to be pets for the Chinese emperor way back when.
I find it interesting that Charles isn't the same breed as his late mother.
Also the old pug hit Bandit with her handbag doesn't that count as assault
It does.
7:04 I still find it funny how the old lady pug with a bowler hat that looks like it wouldn't stay on her head because of how small it is
When I saw the title I wasn’t like oh yeah she is raciest cause I know she is a bit of a fat shammer when she said to bandit ‘you need to lay of the biscuits” but as the biggest bluey fan in the world I love to hear what Margie has to say about these episodes
Something that wasn't mentioned was the choice of food. Bandit felt especially called out since he uses biscuits as an expletive.
Hmm this is interesting thank you
I love that you are so engaged in bluey. As a 7th grader who is really in to bluey but wouldn’t dare to share it. You are truly amazing✨✨✨
Tip- share the things you like with people who accept you but DON’T share your age/grade online, it’s not a good idea
That's amazing that they referenced the Best christmas pageant ever! I was in it last season at my theatre and it was the best time!
i would e even funnier if bluey did that same joke in the episode grannys saying "this episode of bluey is called i forget"
haha that would have been cute
"How would I know what that says? I can't read!" -Unicorse
UNRELATED: Guys!!!! I was just watching house work and it didn’t cut out bandit and chili’s conversation or that one little piece of it oh and the swing does hit bandit now in born yesterday! I wouldn’t be surprised if more was uncensored lemme know
Edit: aw man I just checked and it was censored on Disney+ but I swear it was uncensored on…Disney Junior 😶
where did you get the long dog earrings? they are so cute but i cant find them anywhere
Did think that about the yard sale customer, like to think "Horse wedding" was a bit of Representation too [Marriage equality] like, the kids weren't bothered it was Dad and Uncle Stripe
I took the cattledog comment as a racist nod considering the granny also makes out of the blue insults like Chili being "loud" which gets used to poc in predominantly white suburbs a lot
This is hands down my favorite episode of the season! It makes me laugh just as hard as I did the first time whenever I watch it!
8:42
Unless Muffin is taken what she seen from her grandmother on Trixie’s side of the family.
Imagine if Trixie’s mom is a grouchy granny
I have a theory about why granny pug wears clothes.
So irl grannies at least I’m America. Like to dress they’re dogs up so maybe that’s a reference to the cute sweaters granny’s knit for ‘em!
Glad I’m not the only one who thought about “cattle dog” being some sort of slur. Also Muffin was such an unintentional savage in this episode.
I don’t think Bluey would ever touch on this much, but what is their universe’s version of racism like?
Is it based off of Breeds and/or their ancestry
Kind of like our world do dogs breeds of African origin (or there in dog Australia Aboriginal dogs) get profiled and discriminated against frequently? Do Irish and Italian dogs get mocked because of stereotypes?
Something dark that I’ve wondered about
Yes, it would be about dog breeds and mixed breed dogs have at least two pejoratives: mongrel and mutt. My headcanon is that the Australian Aborigines are dingoes.
Hey do you know that in the us version brung back teasing (episode 48 s1)
I don't understand this part was it just a mistake? did you notice it too? so basically Doreen says that there is no batteries in the granny mobile but later on in the episode old pug rides away on it. any ideas?
The battery was probably put back in after it was purchased.
ooh my goshh where'd you get your bluey sweater its so cutee
I feel like since we were like sweaters and jackets over in our clothes their normal clothes are the skin and then the extra clothes like the one the pug is wearing and one that Wendy’s cleaning in the one that bandit used to clean pee off his foot is like sweatshirts so they weren’t as extra clothing if it’s like a fancy occasion or something that’s just my opinion.
Granny Pug is definitely an old person who is too set in the ways the world used to be with older folk while her comment of Cattle Dog could be seen as racist in that universe or a slur for working class as Heelers are cattle dogs I dunno sometimes things are too much to think about
"Is granny pug racist?"
Yes, she is rude :0
This episode was the real fat shaming episode.
I opened youtube and the first thing I saw was "is granny pug racist?? " I STARTED LAUGHING SO HARD😭
I was watching one of the new season three episodes I forget what it's called but Disney allowed the swing scene back in, just remembered Born Yesterday
My theory with the clothes is that it’s like my little pony. Clothes are optional, and commonly expressed with hats or scarves, etc, but if one would like they can wear full clothes. ❤
Muffin yeeted that sign like a pro, and legend has it it’s still going.
"Cattle dog" can't hardly be racist, considering they are literally Australian Cattle Dogs, but people saying it's "classist" might be right.
the Granny Pug literally thinks that Chilli(and possibly Bandit & others like Them) are the same as the other “Cattle Dogs”
🥰 personally, I am trying to figure out what dog breed my family would be in the Bluey universe and then draw them
Find one or more that fits your familys' personalities or careers and see what you come up with. If there is more than one breed that matches, go mixed breed. If it was my family, they would be mongrels of European breeds (mainly Dutch) and the Canaan as I had paternal ancestors from all over Europe and my maternal ancestry was Jewish descent.
It's a stereotypical granny with no filter, not something to dwell on.
Poor, poor bandit for the rest of the episode after the grouchy, granny pug says you should lay off the biscuits. He’s checking in the mirror to see if he’s fat, and he even says most of it water fat.
I think "Cattle Dog" is not just racist because it's being used as an insult but also because it's inaccurate- Chilli's a Red Heeler not an Australian Cattle Dog
Chilli is an Australian cattle dog as both red and blue heelers are sub breeds.
Hey Margie it's pronounced D own as in Homers D'oh or own. There are actually 7 birds you missed the Budgie in the bottom corner and the purple crowned lorikeet also at the bottom. I believe David Murry is a well known hairstylist in South Brisbane.
1:11 Bingos eyes 😂😂😂
Good to know where Cockatoos are from. I think I’ve seen one at a pet store one time and my mom wants one cause she likes the thing they do with the feathers on their heads.
They may look nice, but their squawks are grating on the ears. Most of the ones at pet shops are the sulphur crested cockatoos.
@@JamesDavy2009 thanks for the info. I’ll let my mom know what she’d be getting into if she bought a cockatoo.
Cattle dog feels adjacent to being called a hick here in the states. As if saying because Chilli is from the country, she shouldn't get involved in her business. However, Chilli is from the countryside so its hard to say if it wasn't just a matter of fact statement but said in a mean/grouchy way, y'know?
7:58 My take on Pug nanny and why she has clothes on is to enforce that she might be considerably older than Doreen (hope I spelt her name right XD its soo close to my own grandmother's name two letters different) I also notice the Pug had a mole with hair out of it and Doreen despite being an older lady does not so my interpretation is Pug is much older than Doreen
This thumbnail is WILD out of context. 😂😂😂
I was actually thinking this too right when I saw granny mobile
