I had this experience also. I changed mine through Betaflight and it was super easy. Under PID Tuning Tab of Betaflight you go to the rate profiles. You have to set the throttle limit to scale, and then next to it set the percent you want it to scale. I set mine to 75%. And thats it. Just save and disconnect.

brilliant, thnx for sharing! I prefer to do this in Betaflight too!

excellent! thank you this curve will allow a very twitchy throttle, to behave properly, on a problem model I have

Большое спасибо за урок!! Это так интересно. Все время пытался найти способ управлять газом по собственному желанию. Вы дали эту методику. Сейчас подредактирую и пойду опробую на ПОЛЕТУШКАХ Thank you so much for the lesson!! It's so interesting. All the time I was trying to find a way to control the gas at will. You gave this technique. I'll edit it now and go try it out on the FLIGHTS!!))👍

Could this be an issue for being in Air Mode or Idle up?

Thank you for this, you just saved me because my micro USB broke off and I couldn’t get into Betaflight to change the midpoint and add expo. And this worked perfectly and better than doing it in Betaflight.

Just a heads up on the "arm bounce" issue, I have a Tiny TinyHawk II Freestyle and a TinyHawk II that both did this right out of the box on the factory tune. This isn't a radio issue (at least not bounce on arm). This is much more noticeable if launching from a hard surface like a tile floor. At zero throttle and arm the props spin up and create just enough lift to get the quad to lift off but not enough to keep it there so it slams back down, only to then regain enough lift to take back off (lather, rinse, repeat). This all happens on its own without any input from the TX, just a simple arm.. What I have done to fix this is reduce the idle prop speed in Betaflight. Super easy fix and doesn't mess with any other settings. That fixes the initial issue out of the box.. This video is helpful with addressing the second issue which is the default throttle curve is super touchy and for an inexperienced drone pilot on a super lightweight drone, little adjustments in throttle have exasperated results on the craft, especially at the lower range. Setting a curve helps smooth out the lower end of the throttle activity. Thanks for posting this video. I am newer to OpenTX and you explained and confirmed for me a few things I had suspected regarding offsets and curve profiles.

Hi, can I ask how you have done that..? I can only find something called idle throttle in percent under controls in betaflight, and it starts at 8 and even I have turned it down to 4, it will still jump..
Hope u can help me 😊

Where is the Idle prop speed in BetaFlight?

this of the throttle limit is an interesting topic. it would be very useful, however, to set the throttle limit on a remote control switch, so as to be able to use the limit just when necessary (for example, for indoor flight the throttle limit is active and outdoor it is disabled).
can you explain how to do it? :)

This series and your beginner series on the Radiomaster TX16S has helped me so much to get my TinyHawk II in the air and flying. I've learned a lot thanks to your time and effort to help others just starting out. I was wondering what you thought about Project Mockingbird V3 for the TunyHawk? I am confused on the different airmodes and changes made when switching modes. Is it valid for all versions of the TinyHawk series and have you tried these settings? Possibly a video on it and your thoughts in the future?

I have not used Project Mockingbird for my TX2, but sounds like a great idea for a future video.

I had the same problem with my tinyhawk 2 freestyle, when I armed the drone it started to jump even with the Throttle at 0. I solved it by simply adjusting the end points, maybe I had the Throttle above the minimum. Is it a possible solution?

TH2 jumps just like you mentioned in your comment and from what I have read, it is not an issue

4:44... I'm experimenting with my radiomaster tx16... When I'm playing with the weights and anything else in this menu and my fat finger hits something is there a way to default... If I think I hit something that shouldn't have been my only way to figure it out is to go to another channel that I haven't played with to verify but what if I played with all of them? I just want to default the aileron throttle rudder elevator etc not my whole radio

Hi Steve - Watched ALL of your TX16S and Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle videos. Awesome!!! I was wondering if you could cover how to setup the turtle mode and my timer doesn't seem to do anything. Can you set the Timer up to time while the drone is armed? Thanks!

@@TahoeSteve Can't wait! I have watched a TON of FPV videos and I have to say your Tinyhawk + TX16S taught me so much more than just how to bind my Tinyhawk. Learned about Betaflight, what the radio can really do, and how it all works. Very, very useful and explained in the perfect level of detail.
